@jackdelamare Some parts seem to be interlaced because of the velocity that has been slow down. But the full clip has been desinterlaced and rendered in progressive scan :) .

I have made several tests (even lowering the quality), and it seems that the "cache" won't allow more than 3 seconds of recording (12 seconds real-time).

The slow-motion is not recorded directly to the HDD ; it is stored in a cache memory and then is written on the HDD.

I haven't tried it yet using a memory-stick as primary storage (saying that the stick would be faster than the HDD,... but I doubt it). I'll give it a try.

You can not control the FPS it shoots at and it records for 4 seconds and turns that into 12 seconds at a time.

Yes you're right. Normally it was says in the characteristic of the camcorder "only 1080i". But it's always better to desinterlace your footage on computer, the little cameras like these one that can do progressive shots don't do it well generally...

just so ya know the slow motion capture is actually 240 fps, and it records in 3 second bursts. that equals out to 12 seconds of 60 frames per second interlaced footage. U definitly lose quality as fps increases because the camera doesnt have an adjustable shutter speed which is too bad. Nice video by the way, i got the same cam as u and have done alot of slo mo movies myself, check em out.

I don't know about Imovie :s but if it's say that mts cannot be read maybe imovie cannot support those files.

The latest versions of imovie supports this camera. To import the footage you actually have to do this within the program. imovie should automatically recognise the camera and allow you to import the footage. You can't just drag the footage from the camera to the software. You also have to make sure there is only HD footage on the hard drive (no SD footage) otherwise the software won't recognise the camera.

Yeah you lose resolution and the exposure decrease down a little ---> image becomes more darker :s . It's a very sensitive effect. The perfect situation is to shot while sun shines :) .

It can record during 5 seconds because it takes a lot of memory. But it still more than 3 sec ;) . The negative point about this is that you can't record normally and change in slow motion during your record... But it's nice for little shots like in my video.

Because it will not be a real slow motion, only a real time video slowed down. With a 25fps or 30fps regular video it won't be as fluid as a 200 fps slow motion option on the camera.
