Saw Matt Dusk in a smaller venue - he was extremely personable, he stayed and made sure everyone either had the picture they wanted with him or autographed the cds. If you have a chance to see him live, do it - he has a timbre to his voice that sends chills. The videos don't do him justice. A Canadian treasure!

I like his timbre but he swallows the lyric and doesn't seem to have the facility to sustain his voice. 'Scoops' up to the notes and seems to sing at one volume level. IMO he is an average crooner, doing a passible imitation of Sinatra. Great shame.

This guy is singing from the throat instead of his stomach resulting in a "whining" sound.
A good "crooner" sings from the stomach and could hold a note longer and louder.
