  • I bet you were back in the car by the time those rain shots were being taken.

  • Wonderful!

  • they stole or traded for tools from the yanks. next you will tell me he forged the machete and knife from sandstone. good video for the you tubers.

  • @rcmoot native americans have been making flutes for centuries with simple tools, like the ones he just used. excluding the fact that blades were generally made from stone. tuning didnt have an importance. they usually determined the length from their finger tips to their elbow. nature was their resource. technology isnt as important as u think. im not sayin this videos is entirely true, but its a pretty damn good interpretation.

  • @rcmoot My family can trace back our flute making history 1500 years. Long before the white europeans came. The indigenous people of the americas stole nothing sunshine. They had everything stolen from them. The whites "traded" with and bribed the originals with such things as beads, knives etc. Is that what they are teaching you kids in school these days? you should do more research before spewing your ignorance for all the world to see. Dont feel too bad you can always delete your post ~D

  • @rcmoot obsidian knives are sharp as fuck bro

  • thats badass

  • yea i really believe you crafted that and in tune on the beach.

  • @rcmoot well how do u think they did it over a century ago

  • how long have you been playing/crafting these flutes

  • dude WHERE DO YOU LIVE and what do you do for a living??

  • One word . . . Incredible!!!

  • I am suprised it sound similiar since Native American and Asians have diffrent plants and trees on their continents and thought the type of wood would could change the sound.

  • Such great culture. Tanks for sharing

  • man you're great you know that! I'd love to meet someone like you, to bad there are only a few Real people left...

  • @corvion6 what do you mean by real people

  • @jrca96 i think me means there are only few people who know how to live it real.

    the old ways.

unlike some people who adapt to customs that you dont have to rely on doing things yourself or making things as in this video. people that just trust on their money and high-tech stuff that help them get by. without that they are nothing.

    this man here is true...

  • Love this video. Very cool. Much respect.

  • Wow... I cried as soon as I heard the first note, I am part native american, but have sadly done nothing like this, I want to learn to use a bow though : D anyways great videos : D

  • Oh my god! RESPECT! I really like your vids! Keep on posting them!

  • the beauty of all of your videos, there are no words.

  • Love that video and especialy the art of making the flute.

    One Love

    Thank you for sharring.

  • You are such a romantic!

    Thank you.

  • wonderful video and excellent music......but, as a flute player and maker....how did you get the joints out of the center of the bamboo? How did you get it perfectly tuned?

  • If you look at the video at around 0:55 and freeze the frame you will notice that there is only one joint on the bamboo witch was use for the chamber. Now the question is how did he get it tune to perfectly that I don't have a straight answer but he might be one of those that have a sharp ear. cheers

  • @debigag

the center of the bamboo, is naturally hallow and very straight, lol you'd be surprised we made air guns out of them

  • I WANT A NATIVE AMERICAN FLUTE T_T

  • Wow! Gorgeous! This really speaks to something quite primal in each of us that with the right learning we could all live so much closer to the earth, in simplicity and in harmony with each other - including our other animal friends. Peace.

  • WOW!!!!! I absolutely loved this video, I loved the way he made that flute!!!! and I love that beautiful music, my fiance has a flute that he plays, but he says that he's not as good as this man is, but the fact that he can put out any sound on that by using it like this Indian did, well I just loved this video very much!!!! Great!!!

  • Wow, love this. So enchanting....

  • I love winds.

So far I just play recorder, harmonica and some ocarinas.

I have always contemplated to make a flute in this style.I never tough of using a bow drill. Pretty neat. The "bird" turned out really nice, similar to something I would have done but more precise.

Thans for the video and all the inspiration

  • Inspiring.

  • I couldn't agree more with you with your comment.

  • SOOOOO!!!!! COOL!!!!

  • NA flutes, Asia, traditional bowhunting, horses...you have a good vision; very similar to that which is close to my heart. Keep up the great work.

  • Beautiful video nice vibes Wish I could find a lovely piece of bamboo like that on the beach and those holes you drilled look just like they were done in a workshop. Oh and the cameraman was he just walking by or did you find him in a cave. Good work though all the same.

  • he used sand to make it look like it was in a workshop it have it a smooth finish

  • ya, the skeptical in me is all flared up; the tuning is minor pentatonic; he got that just right on the beach? it does look very staged
