Weaknesses? er, chocolate? Well actually, I have a drink problem, combined with drugs, I steal things. I am bad at time keeping, can't write and frequently get strange illnesses. I am dishonest, I don't wash, I have B.O. and I have absolutely no respect for authority... O.K. then Mr. Cumstain, welcome to Gooch car clamping services.
it feels a bit like this might leave the interviewer with the impression you are bad at working with others...? I have always used the answer "I am a bit of a perfectionist and can sometimes get carried away with ensuring even the most basic of tasks is completed to the highest standard. I have realized lately that its better to prioritize my tasks to ensure the most important task gets the most attention to detail whilst still ensuring all tasks are completed on time."
Ok no offense meant here but I'd like to be honest. Your answer was a pretty bad answer and it came off totally forced. I've always found this question to be a pure waste of time because you will get a canned answer. I don't understand why people still ask this question. My greatest weakness is dealing with people that ask this pointless question that does little more than waste valuable time in an interview. BTW, the strength as a weakness is the ultimate cliche.
My weakness is that I am worthless. I strive to be perfect and fail. I hate making mistakes but I make them. I hate myself and everyone around me. I wish the sun would explode and destroy this world because humans are scum.
I've been listening to a lot of answers and although everyone says the same thing about using a strength as a weakness, your example was definitely the best. I also like how you utilize humor into it as well! Well done!!!
The humor can severely backfire if you have not infused humor into the interview prior to being asked this question...pointless question to ask anyway.
so is it better to disguise a strength to make it look like a weakness or talk about a weakness that you have improved upon and will give examples of the improvement?

You need to go back to management school. It is so cheesy and dishonest to use a strength as a weakness.
