I've had this phone for almost two years now, the thing is quick, efficient and practical. :3 I haven't had any problems with it even through my media, social networking and downloading and I'm pretty hardcore as far as those three go. I bought mine for $110. I would suggest it to those just trying out for touch screens but still have a budget to keep to.

touch screen phones havnt won me over yet, not after using my brother and sisters touch screen phones, sometimes they freeze sometimes when you press the screen its slow to react and or doesnt react, im sure they are developing new technology for touch phones to make theme more responsive and to iron out the small technical faults, even touch screen lap tops, notebooks and desktops are better than their cousins the touch phone,

@CoolioMonstertruck Yeah Ive just got it about two days ago.. srsly its really good, I love it. Im sort of fussy and I didnt want an andriod as such, just a good fast nicely priced big touch screen phone and it does have a decent sized screen .. 3.2 inch.

Nokia support is really good too and their ovi suite rocks, works well on XP Vista nd Win 7 os pc's. It so simply. It has a 2pxl camera but it takes better shots than my 3.2mpxl sony mobile camera. The 5230's great really!

Hey, I brought this phone on Friday, it's now Monday. I love it. My only problem with it is that the battery doesn't last very long. and it glitches quite a bit.

I personally don't use wi-fi a lot but all my friends suggest that i get the 5530 for the wi-fi and if I get the 5230 it will go out out of fashion due to no wi-fi . I'd say the 5530 is rather going "out of fashion" because it doesn't have 3G.

@lukinu2, take note that wifi makes you limited to specific hotspots (and those that you got access to), while, having a 3G support makes the range to access broadband internet access wider (and you will also need a plan with data, at least for my country is quite reliable)

for a touch screen nokia phone, 5800 is the best one out there as far as budget is concerned. it's got everything that you need. the only problem with it to me is the looks. very much simple and almost lame. but that's understandable, since it's the first s60 touch from nokia. and another thing is the battery life. but it's understandable too, because of its features. i say, if you got the money, go for the 5800.
