press the on&off button & homebutton at ther same time then turn it of but dont let go of the home screen button right when its about to turn off connect it to itunes but dont let go of the hs button then your homescreen from the ipod will have the little white cable & itunes image then your computer will say restore ipod you press restore after that dont realt touch the computer/laptop & then your done :) im preety sure it will work cuss thats what idid !

when i plug it in it says needs update.. its already updated thenas soon as it finishes downloading its says error "ipod could not update the ipod at this time " iv tryed doing this for 2 days now!!!!

It's an easy fix put it in duf mode and restore and update it (if it needs updated)

okay download itunes loqin wiff ur apple i.d then you jus connect ur ipod 2 ur computer it will copy all of ur information off your ipod then u hold the the home and power button down for 10 seconds next u let qo of the power button then it will say restore and then touch restore and your ipod will be reset 2 when u first bought it :)
