  • @ozzy7211 i think the automix is for automatically loading a new song to the deck from the playlist, and asoo as another song ends, another will load and play etc

  • can someone message me their serial key i recently had my laptop restored and i lost my serial key so id really appreciate if someone can help me out(:

  • does this have a mic input

  • @bumthink121 no, but your computer should

  • I Really Dont Wanna Buy This I Think Ill Just Wait Until I Get Enough Money For The Kontrol S2

  • Nice bed you have

  • can u use both decks at the same time?

  • Whats a sound card sorry for the question?

  • it is touch sensitive when you turn on scratch.

  • U put ur headphones in the computer! Only thing that goes in the controller is the usb connector!

  • after one year how are your thougts about it? still use it?

    peace

  • @JFreshsounds well its still a pretty good controller for the price...and i dont get to use it as much as before simply do to the fact that i dont have time.

  • @ozzy7221 i just got it yesterday.. and i love it.. for this price its really a GREAT product!

    peace

  • were do you connect your head phones ?

  • @servenx3 You need an external sound card, there are some USB external soud cards, that came with phone plug

  • On sale now for $59 on guitarcenter plus coupon: cybrmn final is $50.

Good deal if you ask me

  • Hi Ozzy, I have virtual dj pro 7 on my pc. I use that alot to make mixes, but bought the Hercules e2 the other day (waiting on delivery, from USA) and just wondering will It work with that version?

do you need to "map" out the buttons? (sorry if it's a stupid question, just I'm use to that version and that one looks so basic)

  • i know some people might laugh however i would like to get into DJ'ing how do you hook it up to the computer and to like a set of huge speakers?

  • can you use this with a mac?

  • @3L3CTR0CITY

    yeah you can

  • @3L3CTR0CITY yes

  • if a software is nto compatiable with this, can i still use this to control the highs and lows and still control things with the laptop mouse in the software??

  • @DjBobbyLosAngeles

yeah you should be able to because its a midi controller and it comes with a manual that helps you map out the controls with other programs

  • can u use a software with this program at the saem time even if there not compatiable then?

  • where do u put ur headphones

  • @100bait You would need two sound cards, unless your headphones are usb. Usually every laptop already has one so you can just buy a usb sound card. On Virtual DJ Pro you can set up which sound card goes to where. For example you can have your speakers on the laptop sound card and your headphones on the usb or vice versa.

  • hey man, is it possible to listen to one track in you headphones and the other through your speakers ? like if you were queing up a track ?

  • @Dubstep102

yeah it is but you need an external sound card

  • Hey man, sweet video! I am quite wanting one of these now :) You mention needing a soundcard for headphones which I understand. However I have just purchased a splitter & DJ headphones for use with VDJ. Would I be able to use the splitter rather than having to get a external soundcard?

    Jordan

  • @JPMixes1 i saw a usb soundcard thingy for like £3 on amazon

  • @Dubstep102 Ok man, I will take a look! Thanks for the response :)

  • So im doing a gig july 2nd 4th and 9th of 2011 and I wanted to know if I can hook this MIDI controller up to larger speakers like the ones you use at a gig. I ordered this today and I was wondering if this was possible please help me!!

    -Love from Brooklyn NY

  • @DeMoKiiDxX You can't hook it up directly to speakers as it has no built in sound card. It has to be hooked up to a computer running a program like VDJ.

  • theres no headphone output on the mixer?

  • I am very new to this DJ thing so bear with me. It seems you have had it a while. Does it still work? Now that you have improved(I'm guessing you have), does it still do everything you want it to do? What do u use for(Home mixing, portable, etc.)? Finally, have you bought anything else to improve it(Sound card etc.)?

  • @Diax87

I dont use it daily but, now i do wish i did have more effects on it but it works just fine and i have hooked it up to some larger dj speakers

  • hey how can i connect it to my stereo it has the audio inputs and it doesn't have anythin else

  • @DeeJayGe0

you can hook up an aux cable from you headphone port on your laptop to your stereo one if it has one

  • OH MY GAWD DUWD WE HAZ DA SAME SHITY LAPTOP!!!!

  • @defunkyman

    lol...well i kinda like mine

got the i5 processor 4g ram and 320 hard drive at 7200 rpm, and upgraded graphics, but the battery life sucks

  • Heres a question. would you reccomend getting a diffent one for a base level dj setup? i.e. would you prefer to have bought a different one at roughly the same price

  • @ziianHD

well actually this is probably one of the cheapest youll find that does these things...n no i actually read reviews on different ones and this one got me the most

  • Wow that's awesome I have to get one.

  • HUGE delay

  • why do you need an external sound card?

  • @jerryjingjo What he means is that if you have multiple sound cards you can make VDJ play the master through one and headphones through the other, but you can also make VDJ play headphones through the left speaker and master through the right and vice versa (aka split mono).

Just be careful with external sound cards - some of them have a fairly large delay, or in other words even with the songs perfectly synced the headphones might not be. Get a quality one, not a $2 one.

  • @jerryjingjo

to be able to use headphones and preview songs

  • I'm not sure if anyone can help me with this but is it possible to make a beat in Ableton, then DJ it live with this mixer and Virtual DJ? I'm sort of a noob. Please help. I'm considering buying this.

  • Hey man im a bit confused with this all. I want to buy the Hercules mp3 E2, and i want to use it with headphones for previewing etc, but also i want to plug my laptop in to my speakers to play out loud through them. I need some sort of external soundcard? I was thinking about getting a cheap USB one for the headphones, but can you use 2 of these at the same time using Hercules mp3 e2? so i would have 2 usb external soundcards 1 forheadphones, and 1 for the speakers? would this work? thanks :)

  • @FenFennHD

Honestly i dont know if it would work, but what i have and know that works is the numark dj o/i usb aduio interface and it lets you do all that, but its around 50 bucks but its worth it...

but you might want to try it you way and see if it works the most you can loose is like 8 bucks or so

  • How are the headphones get connected so that you can listen to a song while playing an another?

  • @MrVazelakos13

You need a sound card to be able to use the headphones

  • @ozzy7221 you mean on the pc?

  • @MrVazelakos13

yeah get an external one....you can find cheap ones online or you can get a hercules one which lets you hook up headphones and a mic

  • do you have to buy the included virtual dj program or is it free?

  • @Greatboy1000 free!

  • can you make a tutorial like showing how to mix songs and things like that cause im thinkin about getting this buht have no clue if i can even figure out how to use it thanks .

  • thanks

  • @BRN2KILL132

hey man i have the e2 and this response might be a little late but that other guy said that you can get a sound card for like 50 bucks which is entirely unneeded you can get a usb external for a dollar on amazon

  • is the spinback on this bad boy any good? cus im thinkin of getting one of these, recomend it?

  • @guitarguy0219

its pretty decent for the price

  • @guitarguy0219 no it's not great, i have one, check my channel. i hate the fact the scratching isn't great or real enough and spin back doesn't last very long at all :/

  • hey dude I bought this mixer but ive seen that you can configure the virtual dj for you to here the songs with your headphone and preview songs... can you please help me on how to do this?

    thanks

  • @josemi314

yeah u can preview songs but your going to need an external sound card of some sort

  • @ozzy7221 You can configure Virtual DJ so that you can cue songs on the "left channel" and your program feed (ex: what's playing) on the "right channel". You will need an adapter/splitter for the headphone/audio output on your computer to make this work properly though.

  • @ozzy7221 Can you send me a link (pm) for a cheap external sound card? thanks

  • Can u record your mixing on this?? And can u listen to a song on deck a in ur headphones whilst playing a song out loud on deck b??

  • does this have an inbuilt soundcard

  • @BRN2KILL132 any music store like guitar center or one local

  • @BRN2KILL132 no but you can get one for like 50 bucks

  • Hey. Can you record on this ??? im getting one and would like to know, thanks

  • @gozoisawesome

    yes u can

  • @cripnigga14 Yes, but not literally, that's for your studio software to decide.

  • if u want a better version of virtual dj how do u do that?

  • @TDWPfanZA it lets u upgrade it for an additional 30 bucks bt ofcourse you can alwasy find it online

  • Does this work on a mac?

  • @MrTeddytroll

    yes it does

  • DOES IT WORK WITH MIXX?

  • Nice rundown! I got a Hercules on its way. I was wondering if it was customizable at all? I'm hopin I can change the knob tops to something a bit less cheap looking. Thanks for posting. If you need Traktor Pro let me know.

  • @DeviantDigi Thanx..yeah its pretty sweet...and you can customize it and change the layout to Traktor Pro... Yeah my friend said he will help me get Traktor Pro, but if he doesn't ill definately let you know. The knobs should be able to come out and replaced.

  • @ozzy7221 Cool, i'll have to place an order over at djtechtools for some knobs so everything gets here all at once. I'm hoping the knobs on the Hercules is the standard half circle type.
