At first he was soviet pilot :) he was one of main testing pilots for russian Su-26. But after 1991... he was lithuanian lived in Lithuania. Of couse now he is.
I try to go to Wanaka every 2 years for the Warbirds, and when the Spit flies,i get this wonderful shudder down my spine, that engine sound quite emotional.
YEAH!!you cant beat those afterburners, awesome,i cant wait when the Mosquito is finished ,love that plane, will be interesting to see whats there next year.
Yep I was a bit sentimental with the early slo mo stuff but It was really exciting to see those legendary Breitling pilots getting ready to fly. Seeing warbirds in slow motion gives them such grace.
Fantastic Air Show! Full of legendary War Birds... And with my favourite fighter of World War II - Supermarine Spitfire. I have seen this machine two times in my life... In flight in Gorashka Air Show 2008 in Poland (I'm from Poland). It was one of the best days of my life...
Wow!...fantastic!!

If I'm correct that is a Mk.VIII Spit? Very rare.
