And in mixed martial arts, like say Krav Maga or Jeet Kune Do, you can add anything to your repertoire. As of course in my opinion, Mike would add ear biting, headbutts, and anything else. But it is still limited in Mike's case.

Something like K-1. Because if you are fighting a group, you need to stay on your feet. He's got Mark Hunt legs, so those leg kicks will not hurt him just like Mark Hunt won K-1. But the only problem for Tua would be the ground fighting and submission side of MMA.

@arama0010 Yeah MMA, but which version. MMA covers all training aspects: boxing, kicking, grapple, everything. If you get into an all out street brawl, strike fighting is probably more suitable. Something like K-1. Because if you are fighting a group, you need to stay on your feet. By the time you get down to ground to do a submission on one person, the rest of the group will be kicking your brains out.

He would KO any of the MMA heavyweights with considerable ease. His skillset may be relatively limited, but his KO power and his stocky build compensate for much of that. As of his competition, they, too, have their limitations: Dos Santos is an excellent boxer (but really no match for Tua), that lesnar scum is a bubble of feces (not much of a competition), the elder plebeianenko has skills, but his boxing is no match to Tua's, Overeem is strong, but Tua is stronger.

@Andrew861 actually I feel Tua is better suited for MMA than boxing. he's 5'9, naturally 240lbs. his clan is literally a wrestling family, he's built for it. i can imagine it would be very hard to take him down, and his punch is second to none. he'd prob be ferocious with a ground n pound approach too since his upper body is so massive. in boxing, he lacks height and reach against the tall, classic HW's and he can't simply take them down

Like when Sonny Bill said - Boxing training is alot more tiring than rugby training, well beleive me grappling is even worse. Especially if all your partners are big stocky dudes 100kg plus and you're only 90kg :). I think to really go into pro level grappling you'd need to be 30 or younger

He trains a ton of wrestling and holds a brown belt in BJJ. These are all mixed martial artists. Please point to me an example where an actual boxer came into MMA and did relatively well.
