  • I did't see the end:P

  • Elvis and Anastasia have in common...

  • Check the internet, some say the family was executed on the 16th, some 17th, which one was it?

  • @mrceebees14 The 17th around 1 am

  • @mrceebees14 I've noticed that some mix the dates, however, the Tsarina's sister Elizabeth(Jelizaeveta), together with some other members of the dynasty, were executed on the 18th.

check her out on Wikipedia, Elizabeth of Hesse and by rhein.

  • after the romonovs were found were they buried in a grave?

  • @emmalunajackson33 of course they were, they were labeled as martyers and saints, im sure they were buried under their church

  • The true facts about this whole topic will forever be shrouded in mystery. As everyone or at least a good 95 per cent of those that truely know what occured on that tragic night on sadistic orders are either dead or implicated in their murder so neither can or will speak. As for Anna Anderson never claimed to be the Grand Duchess. It was in fact another inmate of the instituion where she was housed that started that series of events. Look it up, you never no. Anything is possible.

  • @stacetahni427 Well said. Anastasia broke "silence" with the Hamburg case. Her family was very disturbed by this. The entire family survived! They were to disappear with new names given and not discuss their titles anymore. Anastasia "wished" she had stayed with her mother. This investigation with Falsetti is a fraud. He was terminated from his position as a scandalous actor. Ask his employer...

  • Having watched the cartoon Anastasia since I was a child, I had longed believe she did survived. It was only until I was older, I discovered the truth and I was horrified...to discover their own people turned on them and killed them. Its disgusting, but yet it happened again with the shooting of JFK. Why would you do it?

  • I love the name Romanov

  • when i first saw this i felt really bad for anastasia and her family.

  • So, I first saw the animated 'Anastasia' when I was a child, even now at 18 I know all the songs and I love the movie. The actual history behind the story is so tragic and brutal and just sad that it makes me not want to watch it. I love the movie and I wish none of these kids had had to go through this. I still want to believe that Anastasia survived and lived happily ever after.

  • What i think that the whole family is dead but their souls are still trapped

  • @11EmoPrincess That's an interesting thought in it's own way. And when I imagine how their remains have been so disrespected over the past century (mutilated, buried, dug up, re-buried, dug up again and then touched/handled by scientists and a bunch of other people), kinda makes my skin crawl. . . .

  • @CxHxRxIxSxTxIxAxN That calls out for an anger soul from under the grave or from this case from under all these locations where their remainders have been buried dug up etc. I may only been a teenager but i am a fan of paranormal and anything related to demons/entites/ghost and stuff like that.I don't know if your a skeptic but i'm not these things are real and it all makes scence if you really think about it.What i think is that the Romanovs are NOT resting spirits :(

  • oh my gosh

  • I like that Name Anastasia

  • we all know she was shot up, burned, acid ridden, buried, gnawed by wolves, and buried again! Good? ok

  • Why is everyone arguing atlking about The Romanovs being called `more divine than God' ? Personally, I've never heard anyone say anything of the sort. But, what really bothers me? Is that these peopl aren't even remorseful that lives were loss in such a horrible way! How dare you talk about God and be glad that someone is dead? How dare you act better than anyone when your lack of humanity makes you worse than any sinner? I'm sad that they died, because loss of human life is always horrible.

  • I can't remember if I knew about the real Romanovs first or if I watched the animated film first. Either way, I've known about this since I was little. Sad? Yeah, it is.

  • how anyone can believe the bull shit that these so called royals have a divine right to rule us all....BULL SHIT these so called royal family's are no more royal then you or me and have NO RIGHT TO RULE ANY ONE BUT THERE OWN FAMILY!!!!!

  • i don't feel sorry for them at all, nobody is divine but the lord. how many russian families died because of the tsar

  • @beckylrichards What do u mean the cartoon is based on Anna Anderson and not Anastasia??

  • absolutley beautiful children...so sad to see them end in the way they did

  • the attendants were told they could leave but said they wished to stay with the Romanovs yet I heard they were taken to the basement because they wanted to take their photos to proof they were still alive

  • OMG i jus come from watching the cartoon from anastasia, n i did not kno it was a true story....SMH

  • ahahahahahaha i have know idea wht they are talking about xDDD all i hear is blah blah blah...

  • i wonder if thoes were the real childrem shown on the boat

  • disgusting despite Nicholas's faults surely they didn't have to kill innocent children and him and his wife.

its these things that make me think the world is an evil place .

God rest their souls and may they be at peace in death

  • che false advertisement

  • Its a really sad story its hard to believe that someone could be so cruel to murder a full family!?! Inocent children;(

  • @Shauna10623 I know :( :(

  • 11? there was only 7 people in the royal Family. What are They Yappin About?

  • @crazylikelazy there were servants with them......... i guess national geographic didnt understand there were only 7 royal family members....

  • @crazylikelazy They said 'The royal household' not just the family, they included the family doctor and 3 close servants that got killed that night with the royal family.

  • It makes you wonder if the Romanov's were really murdered or not.

  • wow this is cool :) never know the cartoon movie was based off some think really

  • The real story is so much more interesting then the animated movie. Perhaps it's because I watched the cartoon for the first time at 19, but I honestly thought the songs were the best part of the movie. What I would like to see is a historically accurate movie about the Romanovs. Any one know one?

  • @doglover12345andfr You may like this one: watch?v=fKd-Di88Uxk

  • @TsarevichAlexeiSite Thank you....that's a youtube link right?

*brings up new tab**copy* *paste* *presses enter* Yep, it's a youtube. =)

  • @doglover12345andfr You could try watching "Nicholas and Alexandra". But don't you think it's nice to imagine the happy outcome Anastasia, and her family, deserved? Then again I suppose the happy animated movie could be considered all the more painful when one contrasts it to the reality of the situation

  • @doglover12345andfr

YES... although it is actually based on the Anastasia imposter Anna Anderson, the story is extremely accurate in most ways.

  • @doglover12345andfr

YES... although it is actually based on the Anastasia imposter Anna Anderson, the story is extremely accurate in most ways. You can watch "Anastasia: The Mystery of Anna" on youtube. It is a tv miniseries.

  • @doglover12345andfr what is the real story

  • @doglover12345andfr yeah ONCE OPON A DECEMBER was my favorite...not just because were singin it at school but also because its amazing

  • @doglover12345andfr

I think that Robert K Massie's book-wich is the base for the film "Nicholas and Alexandra" is good. Otherwise It's hard to find... try to find "rasputin, dark servant of darkness" aswell, it's good too!

  • @doglover12345andfr I know this answer comes a little late, but have you ever seen Nicholas and Alexandra? It's very good (and as far as I know quite accurate) in my opinion. :)

  • i would like to point out, that they never found anastia/maria's body or her bother's.... so i will believe what i like!!!! and right now, i want to believe this movie!!!

  • There goes my childhood...

  • she

anastia lived She lived in Kenosha Wi, Usa, In exile,I know her grand daaughter Diana..

  • and yet they make a refence to the romanovs in the second game Shadow Hearts 2. i would like to know what really happened to her. yet i would like to know why she is the most famous. if this did this happen i would like to know the truth

  • @tsukune007 What happened was this: Anastasia the Russian princess was killed and so was her family. The truth of the matter is that she didn't escape, as much as I would like to think she did, she didn't. It fucking sucks but that's what happened. They didn't deserve to be treated in such a way and I wish that it was different. They should have died peacefully in their beds from old age.

  • Oh God this is horrible, interesting but horrible:(

  • How awful, how can you kill children like that? What an horrible story... :-(

  • Well there goes my childhood hopes of Anastasia escaping somehow :( Good video but very depressing

  • no way :s anastasia really did excisd ? i tough all these years it was made up :s its horrible:s

  • @girlicious1212 yes, the romanovs and anastasia really lived.. but were killed in a horrible way 90/100 years ago.

  • Hm. This seems more realistic. My dreams aren't ruined, as I can clearly define what is truth and what is fiction. Frankly, I'm quite pleased with this. Not that an innocent family was murdered in cold blooded fear and hatred, but that the real story is available as an *optional* tool to expand your knowledge.

  • @Spontenaity I think just like you. when I was a child I saw the cartoon movie for like 200000 times! I knew that it's based on a true story but I didnt know what realy happend... so now I just know more. But, still it was much better when I was like an innocent 8 years old girl that didnt heard such terrible things

  • @sapirush12 Of course. Nobody who hasn't come to terms with reality shouldn't watch this. Instead, they should sit pleasantly silent and watch the Fox movie until they are ready to face the real world. I love the movie, and I love that Anastasia finds herself and true love. Personally, I think this documentary should have an age limit. Maybe 14A. But no children should be watching this. Let them live a little longer in the sugary world that is childhood.

  • come on anastasia has been famously dead for years i find the romanov family really intresting.

  • @coltmanm And their story is actually kind of sad. The entire family and their companions completely annihilated, just like that, and having your body destroyed even after being shot to death, that's just horrible.

  • @lolz9113 i know its also sad that people have pretended to be them just for the money

  • To all you whiny fucks who can't stand losing your treasured fantasies... Wake the FUCK up! The human race no longer has the luxury of spending its lifetimes in a haze of happy dreams. We need to look at reality, which is in truth more amazing, beautiful and powerful than all the fantasies put together! Christ, I thought I was a spoiled kid. You snotty-nosed bitches take the cake. Read the Ringing Cedars of Russia:Anastasia if you want a happy story that's true, about Anastasia. And, I'm spent!

  • @PrincessGab10 wow your calling me the devil you don't even know me. if your christian orthodox you should know the devil is one of a kind, and you shouldn't be calling anyone that because that makes you coldhearted so your just contradicting yourself. your just a confused little girl who needs to grow up and learn how to handle situations more maturely.

  • @hellurjasminexo its a phrase maybe you shud be the one who needs to grow up now stop bloking me iv got better things to do then waist my time reading your stuped replies

  • thanx im 11 an u just crushed my childhood past hope ur happy :( BITCH

  • The turn of events for the romanofs...its just unfair, exile would have been good enough, they shouldn't have killed the whole family in cold blood just because of Nicholas's actions and terrible leadership that followed in the same communist ways of his ancesters.

  • lmao i dont mean to laugh, or double post, but is that guy wearing a florida gators beanie?

  • such a sad sad tale...

  • Aww... they didn't mention the story of Rasputin... makes sense but still! His story is quite fascinating!

  • very interestingg!! i had no idea.! now im educated. =]

  • FAIL!!!! SO NOT FAIR THEY GOTTA GO AND BUST EVERYONES BUBBLES DONT THOSE ASS FUCKS?!?! SRY ABOUT THE LANGUAGE BUT WTF?!?! REALLY JUST NO YOU DONT DO THAT!!!

  • @PepsiDew22322 simmer down nerdling

  • @imjohnfreeman why yes i am a nerdling i love the movie Anastasia and you know why? it was the last video i watched with my grandmother before she died and she loved it to, so im proud to be a nerdling thank you verra much

  • @PepsiDew22322 youre incredibly mad slave boy

  • @imjohnfreeman Do you have a life really just drop it and move, seriously sarcasm, and it really isnt that big of a deal, pull the stick out of your ass, go buy a hooker and get happy, deal? ok then bye bye.

  • it wasnt sarcasm youre just an autistic retard lol

  • @imjohnfreeman uh huh, is this wat you get off on just FORGET IT DUDE! seriously either way i wasnt being serious.

  • @PepsiDew22322 'is this all you do all day' 'is this wat you get off on' < shitty retorts

looks like ur mad that you were entirely serious lmao

  • @imjohnfreeman ok yep sure just quit commenting and leave me alone u the ass munch of a 31 year old Ukrainian, cant leave a 17 year old alone, ok? now ur cool bye now leave me alone.

  • @PepsiDew22322 youre clearly autistic mad guy hehehe

  • @imjohnfreeman hey faggot im a girl and im 17 so get over it k?

  • @PepsiDew22322 no youre not lmfao

  • @PepsiDew22322 heres some other bubbles im about to burst:

santa claus, the easter bunny and the tooth fairy are not real

atlantis was a concept not a place

roma gypsies were regularly segregated and ethnically cleansed in paris

    mermaids are infeasible

mice are incapable of bipedal transport for prolonged periods

    ducks do not have arms

theres no way that a cottage that small and separated from society could provide subsistence for seven dwarfs (i.e. they probably killed travellers and ate them)

  • @PepsiDew22322 want more?

hercules was a violent, vengeful (albeit fictional) man and never settled down with a partner because hera was out to murder him

alice in wonderland was an essay on drug use

contrary to peter pan, you will definitely grow up and die one day

a pumpkin and two mice does not a horse and carriage make

the kiss of a handsome prince will not wake you from a coma

there is no way anyone could realistically support one hundred and one dalmatians

  • @PepsiDew22322 I COULD DO THIS ALL DAY

there are no bears in the jungle and theyd probably just maul you to death

on that note, noone would survive in the jungle off bananas alone and would probably fall prey to cholera and malaria over time

realistically, the hound would just kill the fox

lions do not rule over a kingdom, they just eat gazelles and shit everywhere

    ok im done

  • @imjohnfreeman WTF do bears, monkeys, gorillas, bananas, hounds, and foxes have to do with anything, i was just saying, it happened, no one knew where the 2 children were, everyone thought they got away and lived, that spawned the movie Anastasia, kids liked the movie, people loved the movie and people wished thats what happened thats all, the first comment i made i was being sarcastic, ok thats all we will all live no matter wtf happens with that discovery people will live got it leave it alone

  • @PepsiDew22322 anastasia died like a pig

  • @imjohnfreeman WTFE JUST DROP IT DUDE, IT WAS SARCASM!!! QUIT COMMENTING!!!! LEAVE IT ALOOOONNNNNEEEEEE!!!

  • So where is Anastasia?Once the body of Anastasia was not found where is this girl?Neither the film nor the animation is closer to the truth

  • @Ilove13Ev

In 2007 have found two lacking bodies.

  • @Ilove13Ev she was murdered in 1918..she wasn't missing..her bones were found in 1991 but everybody didnt' believed that it was her..

But in 2007 they found the bones of maria and alexei..maria is the girl that was missing no anastasia

  • curse you people who killed the kides >:0

    they are heartless

  • did you hear that cracking sound? its the sound of my childhood dreams and memories, breaking into national geographic facts

  • @brainwasher3000 Awww! That's terrible but the truth is the truth , nothing can be changed about it.

  • I can't believe they made them saints what did they do that was so great? (Unless being rich and corrupt counts)

  • ILuvJaimy

did you know that the evil guy in that movie was based off of the man named Rusputin?

  • By the look of these comments, schools should really have a Cartoon vs. Reality class.

  • @shaybean54 Agreed.

  • @shaybean54 I agree completely it would be a most fascinationating class or debate.

  • @shaybean54 Yeah really

  • @shaybean54 reality

  • @shaybean54 I agree completely.

Do you people (yes, even children) have no common sense? Disney and other cartoon makers dramatize and sugar coat things. Nothing is historically accurate. You guys think the truth about the princess is bad, I would hate to see what would happen if you all read The Hunchback of Notre-Dame xD

  • I thought this was about the other Anastasia, from the Ringing Cedars Series

  • The Cartoon is not the same from the real life. Father Grigory (the evil man in the movie) is true but his not really evil. I thinkThe Romanovs are killed because communists didn't want tsars to rule over Russia

  • wait..Anastasia is REAL?!?!?

  • @addicted2taylor yup, she was real, huge part of Russian history.

  • @tmwalkerm : D kewll!

  • @addicted2taylor ......you didn't know that?

  • @kittiekat10105 No but i do NOW :D

  • i reely hopw its not anastaisa. =(

its so sad how they killed the family the way they did. was it really needed to kill the children? evry single family member? thats sooooo sad. =( i like the cartoon better. =(

  • Ya, i agree with you... i thought that the grand duchess survive the attack...until i read a book about her in the library and see how the royal family live in poverty and surrounded by rough soldiers before they were killed, how tragic!!!

  • this voice (narrator) sounds familiar... who is it?

  • @Cali978 Sounds like Dennis Farino. He does Unsolved Mysteries now. But he was on Law and Order...don't know which one though.

  • I soo love disney movies but not this one!

  • @Scoobyof3

that movie wasn't made by disney :P

  • Dimitri was actually her cousin and the family was killed because people are stupid

  • So I don't get why the family were prisioners and were murdered?

  • why cant a legend just be a legend >> i mean i already knew this but honestly cant we ever just believe in somthing without all the heart breaking science poking its nose in everywhere???

  • O__o

  • how could they shot them!

  • OMG this is so frikken creepy...I wonder the same things as @ILuvJaimy said...was most of the movie just made up??? If they never actually found the body/skeleton of Anastasia and what not...

  • @GoddessOfYou27 Yup. The movie had practically nothing to do with what actually happened. It was a cute movie, but Rasputin(in real life) was the best friend of the family, and Anastasia was found in an unmarked grave with the rest of her family. After I learned about the history of what happened, the movie made no sense. :/

  • @Zorendorf Actaually The smallest female bones in that grave were much to long to be anastasia's. they really don't have much proof that the bones in that grave were the romanovs considering that they severly damaged the remains due to bad excavation tools. the bones in that grave are most likely the romanovs but none of the remains seem to match up with anastasia. if you look at the pics of Anna Anderson it looks exactley like her! (anna was a woman who clamied to be anastasia)

  • @SongBirdRaven They did DNA tests actually...They completely confirmed it. Anna Anderson wasn't Anastasia, and the remains they found were Anastasia. When Anderson died, they compared her DNA to Romanov DNA, and it didn't match. She wasn't related to them whatsoever. They did find Anastasia's remains.

  • @kelsey94231 they did dna tests on Prince Philip as well, he was a distant relative of the mother, and he was not a match at all.

  • @tmwalkerm Okay...? Anne Anderson wasn't Anastasia though lol. Regardless of what Prince Philip's DNA said, the key point of what you said is that we was a distant relative. Anastasia was who Anderson was trying to impersonate, who just happened to be a direct relative. If she has been Anastasia, the DNA comparisons to varying Romanov family members would have matched. Especially in the test they did comparing Anderson's DNA to the other confirmed Romanov bodies they found.

  • @kelsey94231 I know that, just saying that they found the same results against Philips dna.

  • good lord...just amazing in my opinion, i love history and this just makes me wonder so much about it

  • Ohh thanks...My childhood fanties were just smashed.

  • @ruthiegirl123 what fantasy?

  • @ruthiegirl123 I imagine that's better than having your panties smashed. (check your spelling of "fantasies")

  • @d3ejmz Hehehe..yeah I can't spell...

  • @ruthiegirl123 I know right? I few years back when I first (accidentally) discovered the truth about the real Anastasia and her family. . .I think I was mentally traumatized for like a month . . .>_<

  • @CxHxRxIxSxTxIxAxN what? is this like a reality based movie?!

  • @CxHxRxIxSxTxIxAxN I can't find @ruthiegirl123 's comment. Can you tell me or inbox me,the truth about the Romanovs.

  • @ashlh1 (I'm not sure if this answers your question, but here goes)I first saw the animated 'Anastasia' movie back when I was like 8 or 9. At that time,I didn't know that the movie was (very loosely) based on a real person. The movie made it seem like Anastasia ended up living happily ever after. In 2006,I happened to discover a page online that told the truth: Anastasia was murdered along with her family when she was only 17 years old. Most movies about her were based on rumors about her survival

  • @CxHxRxIxSxTxIxAxN Ever see Anastasia (1956) starring Ingrid Bergman

Yul Brynner? The film was loosely based on the true story of a former inmate in a German asylum who became known as 'Anna Anderson' and whose story made headlines for decades. She claimed to be the real Anastasia. Anyway, good film.

  • @gjc82071 I've heard of the movie and I've seen a couple of trailers for it. It did not seem the least bit interesting to me. . .>_<

It would be great if they did a FACTUAL based movie based on the real Anastasia and her life, but then again, I guess technically she really didn't contribute to history in any way (besides the mystery surrounding her death). Personally, I found the real Anastasia to be more fascinating that any glammed up Hollywood version they made her out to be in the movies.

  • @gjc82071 Anderson was a grifter and con artist, though I love Yul Brenner, I simply cannot stomach watching a film based on the lies of a con artist. May the REAL Anastasia RIP.

  • @CxHxRxIxSxTxIxAxN I came across the movie few days back, and I decided to check what really happened...same case as you.It is just so wrong.

  • @IceYoukaiYukina wait seriously!?!?!?

  • my fave princess...

  • Wow. This is nothing like what Disney taught you.
