  • Amen brother. These are tough times in maryland where the NE swarm continues to attempt to bring the state to the north. I for one get sick over this every time someone says we are not apart of dixie. Last time I checked I lived SOUTH of the line and last time I checked I was raised by southern ways. The same southern ways I plan to raise my children. I proudly stand strong as a son of the south and ALWAYS will. Maryland, my maryland!

  • That's cool! I have to look that episode up. Thanks.

Born in Norfolk moving to Baltimore.

  • Maryland IS a southern state. It was only in the north because of that ASS Lincoln. The culture here is incredibly southern. Ive grown up here, and have always lived here, and when people call Maryland the North I am very upset. My father is from Louisiana, and even he agrees Maryland is a southern state. Just look at the flag, the Crossland quarters of the flag are direct remnants of sourthen flags flown through Maryland during the war of Northern Aggression!

  • my hometown is only just above maryland. and we have confederate flags and slights accents. too bad im not from just below the mason-dixon line.

    keep strong maryland!!

    deo vindice

  • @DurhamRebel Nice. As Southerners we are a nation of peope. Lines on a map don't define us - our culture, values and identity do. There are people in southern Ohio, southern Illinois and southern Missouri who are culturally Southern and support the South. These people are part of the Southern nation.

  • Ive lived and still live in the Annapolis area, and I'd have to say it is a Southern state.

BTW Maryland only stayed part of the north because Lincoln arrested many Maryland officials so Maryland wouldn't turn to the confederacy.

  • @vtechths NEWS FLASH: The North won the war!

  • @RyuDekay Wow, that's brilliant. I'm sure none of us are aware that our ancestors were invaded and conquered by the Feds. I'm sure that none of us are aware that we live in an occupied Southland.

  • The Mason Dixon line was not the separation from South and North. It was created so Pennsylvania and Maryland would stop arguing about who owned Philadelphia. Also Maryland was a border state and then joined the Union. You are one of the most ignorant people on you tube. You made this elaborate video and it is all false. Get an education and try again. You didn't face any invasion: this is 2010 and you were not alive during the Civil War. You shouldn't speak for others in Maryland.

  • @RyuDekay you should really do your research. The majority of MAryland was southern, but they were literally FORCED to stay in the union by Lincoln. This was done so he could keep the union capital in DC without being surrounded by the CSA. Half of the Maryland flag is southern. I dont think you live here (I do) and most of the people I know say it is southern, and it is. The culture, geography, and people reflect many more southern properties than northern ones. Dont be so ignorant you idiot.

  • I'm African American, but I agree Maryland is a southern state.

  • @LongshotRecordsTV Thank you, Longshot.

  • @ Big Ben.. No, If you are in Manhattan.. if you go twenty minutes.. you are still in the city somewhere. New York is monsterous, why would you even say that? Plus country is the way of life here.. not up there. Us city folk from Bmore country too.. don't get it twisted.

  • I am from Maryland and I can not stand these big government federals who control most of this state. Many years ago the confederate monument in Rockville was moved behind the court house because the invaders wanted out of site. For all you invader yuppies Montgomery county was southern and fought for the south. For those who do not believe Maryland is a southern state I have never seen a plantation house in the north.Maryland has many large plantation homes.

  • @jazzy4887 You have seen a plantation home in the North. It is called "Maryland"

  • I'd say in central and western Maryland where I grew up is Southern. Many trucks including mine display the rebel flag and people display the flag through shirts, stickers and flags etc.

  • dont forget southerners, you too are Yankees

  • @natureperson420, Not at all. That's like saying that Germans are British. Yankees are a specific ethnic group of Northerners. Look it up. Dr Rothbard and others talked at length about this.

  • @RedShirtArmy if you go over seas you are a Yankee, in the old wars you were yankees. its NOT like saying germans are british thats dumb, Dr. retard doesnt decide shit

  • @natureperson420, That's like when a Scottish person comes to the US and people out of ignorance call them "English". Sure, I'm an American but I'm not a Yankee. Just like a Scottish person is British but not English. Yankee is a specific ethnic and cultural group based in New England. I have traveled abroad and corrected people when they called me a "Yankee" out of ignorance. I told them that the US is only my country by force b/c it occupied the South - that I am Southern culturally.

  • i totaly agree with this. Maryland is southern and always will be. I'm from baltimore and go to school in rhode island(new england) and they think im from the soiuth and they should know that.

  • Hey bud she is Northern now. She is deep blue now and you red necks are now in the minority. Build a bridge and get over it.

I bet you are in the Tea Party aren't you.

  • Can I explain something to everyone. The Civil War was fought over 140 years ago. If I am not mistaken the South lost. Do everyone a god damn favor...GET OVER IT AND MOVE THE HELL ON.

  • I never ever thought of Maryland as being a victim of illegal immigration. Thank you for bringing this to light. (Lisa, currently in..... So Cal)

  • I am so very glad to see this video. The people spoke when the Yankee troops arrived, with rocks and stones. Let those words not be forgotten.

  • *sings* "Maryland, my Maryland"

  • I just moved to Maryland and I wish I was back up north....this place sucks.

  • I am a southerner im from Baltimore, maryland

  • I call BS on that. I'm from Maryland and I'll tell you right now I consider myself and my people here proud Southerners. Maryland sent over 25,000 to fight for her and the rest of the South. Most Maryland men were in the Army of NOVA. Because she was under control of the North the men who did stay at home and were considered "Union" were on home guard duty. Basically, stay at home and live like normal. Maryland is and always will be south of the Mason-Dixon and part of the Southland.

  • Amen to that. I'm from Mississippi, but I vehemently defend our sister border states, whether it's from scalawags, yanks or even proud Southerners who unfortunately have been brainwashed and confused on where the South ends or begins. I quote who is in my opinion, one of the greatest Southrons who ever lived, John Wilkes Booth: "Tell my mother I did it for my country..." My country... needless to say, our old Booths is a Marylander from Bel-Air. Many dreamed, but would never dare. Booth done it.

  • What confederate bullsht. You and your redneck friends who left the comments are delusional. I see more confederate flags in Pennsylvania than MD. For anybody else watching guys like the one who posted this video make up <0.01% of the state. Maryland along with DC, and DE are small, Union, wealthy, liberal Northeastern states and anybody whwo doesn't think so is a moron.

  • I hear u but Maryland is viewed as Northern and Southern Def viewed as the mid atlantic

  • I'm from Maryland and even in parts of northern Maryland you will see confederate flags and hear accents. I would say that most rural places in maryland are still southern

  • @HUNTER112394 for real.. if u spend time on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, (and areas around Lusby, Md) where they are close to Virginia (& still live in primarily rural communities), they look almost identical to Dixie.

The same is basically true of western Maryland, which resembles Appalachian Virginia & Kentucky.

Its too bad that the thugs and Liberals who populate Baltimore & suburban DC, make up the bulk of MD's population, & mostly define Maryland's image & destiny. peace

  • FREE MARYLAND! FREE THE SOUTH!

  • I'd say in Maryland when you're around 95 between Harford and Prince Georges Counties it's like the North. The Eastern Shore is very Southern however Maryland is closer to most major Northern cities, New York, Philly, Boston, Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Detroit than most Major Southern cities Atlanta, Charlotte, Memphis, Nashville, New Orleans, Miami,

  • thats a very true statement . Baltimore we are mixed with northern and southern culture

  • when ever you southern confederates come through SC and stop in Columbia, dont pass up the chance to eat at Maurices BBQ.

Maurice Bessinger is a loyal southerner who defends our southern heratige with his bumper stickers and books for sale about the South.

  • Charles County is what makes Maryland SOUTH

  • Lol, good for Charles County. We need some help in Prince George's though, she's probably the most invaded.

  • I grew up in Charles County and yes I'm a southerner. There is Marlyand and then there is Southern Maryland. BIG difference

  • Maryland Ole Maryland, the song the Army of Northern Virginia played as they entered Gettysburg. The corruption in Washington will force the people to fight again. Please don't stop, good video.

  • Oo yeah.. west Bmore forreal... yall got them woods out deah..lol

  • I'm from Northeast Baltimore city and Baltimore is the south baby!! I wear golds in my mouth all day... ill tell u waht.. u will be NOWHERE in maryland where you are more than 20 miles from a farm

  • True but even New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania Illinois and California there's nowhere where you are more than 20 miles from a farm (yes I have seen Farms within 20 Miles of Manhattan)

  • Louisiana says: Thank you Maryland from your Southern brothers and sisters form Louisiana!

  • And more thing, thank you Maryland for providing the Confederacy with thousands of good Confederate soldiers. And thank you Maryland for giving us the brilliant, talented, proud and courageous John Wilkes Booth. Maryland just couldn't secede because Abe, the Tyrant, placed the whole state under martial law. Just like in KY and MO, he arrested pro-Confederate politicians, mayors and citizens in Maryland. Again, God bless Booth.

  • You know, sometimes I grow sick of other Southron brothers competing against each other about which state is South or not. That's what the feds like to see, we being divided and not agreeing with each other. Dixie is Dixie: Florida, Maryland, Missouri, northern Virginia, Texas, Oklahoma, Kentucky are as Southron as my own state of Mississippi and they are NOT going to be taken away from us without a fight. The Confederacy was an united, strong nation. We have to keep that spirit alive, TOGETHER!

  • amen brother!

  • I'd like to know more about the details of Martial Law that was in Maryland right before the Civil War.

  • Beat the Federal goverment at their own game (the laws they impose) by filing lawsuits in the courts here and in the world court to prove the states that suceeded had that right and did so legally, demand damages and pain and suffering. Perhaps a trillion dollar lawsuit would bring the vulture lawyers stampeeding to represent the cause.

  • Give them the bayonette! No quarter to the Yankee invaders. Rally the Virginians!

  • Maryland Fried Chicken is still the favorite in

Avon Park, Florida..since like 1956 in the same spot. You have a southron speech pattern, good enough from me.

  • I don't think I had ever heard that about western Pennsylvania and southern Illinois.

Who's that guy mentioned at the very end of the video?

  • Bobby Tillet. Check out our website for lots of info on Mr Tillet and upcoming Confederate flag rally in his defense.

  • Dear Mother! burst the tyrant's chain, Maryland!

Virginia should not call in vain, Maryland!

She meets her sisters on the plain-

"Sic semper!" 'tis the proud refrain

That baffles minions back again, Maryland!

Arise in majesty again, Maryland! My Maryland!

  • Wasn't Maryland Fried Chicken the original 'Southern' Fried Chicken..?? Not to make light of a very well made, excellent video..!!

Long Live Maryland and her patriots !! Statehood first !!

  • Thank you for fav'ng it. I regard your words highly and will look for this book you recommend. It will be on Amazon. Thank you for the title, it would be impossible w/o us sharing such things. These things should be shared to our graves, YT being a good and lasting medium.

  • OUTSTANDING!!!

  • "Maryland, My Maryland" - she was held captive. Anyone who says "freedom to vote" ought to look at Maryland's treatment during the War for Southern Independence.

  • The despot's heel is on thy shore, Maryland!

His torch is at thy temple door, Maryland!

    Avenge the patriotic gore

That flecked the streets of Baltimore,

And be the battle queen of yore, Maryland! My Maryland!

  • Bravo!!! :D

  • Thanks for another great vid ive been over the mason dixon line twice. And when i went over it i allways look at my wife and tell her that im geting sick and want to vomit lol.God bless our south and thanks redshirtarmy and mdfromthesouth-DEO VINDICE

  • Only been across it once myself - went to New York City one time. It was a strange and alien place for me - completely foreign in every way.

  • Yes, but go anyway. Her battlefields, especially.

  • Oops, I'm sorry, I meant just Maryland. I have been up north and the only thing I liked was the Amish.

  • i go to new york once in a while. and i like it. i went to a lynyrd skynyrd concert there may 15th 2008 at msg. it rocked. it really is nice there. but it feels like a completely different place. i had the same problem. i was at pennstation. i was at subway and they really didn't understand me to well. i had to repeat my self like 3,4 times. i felt like i was alien to. i wish i could have known how to speak Spanish. probably would have made it alot easier.

  • you couldnt pay me to go to ny

  • don't get me wrong. i love the south alot. and. especially my home state of Alabama. i was just saying i like it. but it was just a completely different place to me. but two things i didn't like was the traffic. the people in the city drive like lunatics. and alot of the people are very ride. not all. but alot of the people i came into contact with are very rude. and it was just nothing like i am used to in Alabama and a few other southern states i visit. southern people are just so friendly.

  • I hate anywhere that's crowded. I've been to New York twice, nothing like being cramped like theres no tomorrow and spending all your money eating lunch. In the summer, I can go a couple miles to a roadside stand and buy 2 baskets of the best peaches in the great state of Maryland for about 2 bucks. Who needs a 17 dollar hamburger in Manhattan?

  • Harley they are SO different from us up north. It is indeed a foreign land to us. They have good lobster and beautiful areas, but I could hardly wait to get home, in spite of it. I felt as if I was visiting another country, but one that thought my accent was "charming" in a put-down way.

  • Know exactly what you mean. When I was in Manhattan, I was starving on morning with my Momma. So we went to a McDonalds (I eat there about once a year back home in SC) there near Time Square. And I ordered a #1, as I remember. Very simple order. And they couldn't understand me. I repeated myself slowly and again they couldn't understand. I was pretty upset. Finally, I told them my order in Spanish - and they understood immediately. Reenforced the fact that I was an alien there.

  • Oh.... my.... goodness.... so you were in TWO foreign situations. Yank and Spanish. Bless you.

  • Manhattan??? you have my sympathies sir.

  • Friend I'd tell you to close your eyes & let your Darlin wife guide you over into that upsetting foreign land. We have to think about how Southern men are't only notorious for the famous "Hey Bubba watch this"(I hear the sound of tapps in the distance :D) They're also famous for thinking we Southern women don't know a damn thing about driving. Can't tell you how many times I got blamed for us being late because HE would'nt stop for directions or I read the map wrong!:P~ HE is now my X :)

  • My wife allways drives.I hate driveing after i moved to charleston SC.Back home i was 12 miles from work and never saw over 6 cars.God bless our south and our southern women-DEO VINDICE
