@mommygaga1 You're right! The guys were brilliant composers and musicians. They were also brilliant because they realizing that putting the girls in the forefront was going to get them up the charts due to their looks and their angelic voices, especially Anna. And they were right! The guys were the backbone of ABBA. I'm a big Benny fan and I don't think he ever got the glory he so richly deserved. Great band!
Look at her face and try to find the right words to describe such beauty is impossible. Agnetha most be an angel, there is no other explanation. The most beautiful angel EVER.
@blaza62 Thanks Blaza. I see you also play the guitar and share the same taste for real great music like the one from ABBA. They left my heart with a lot of dreams, lovely dreams specially with beautiful Agnetha, the angel of my dreams. God bless you friend.
Seven months ago I said that Agnetha was the most beautiful woman; the one that looks, sing and smile like and angel and today I will said that she still the most beautiful woman, ever and ever my eyes had seen.
I bet none of you knew that the introduction of this (before Agnetha starts singing) was inspired by 10cc 'Im Not in Love'. Bjorn said so in an interview.
i love abba maybe more than beatles but this is not gonna happen, beatles would be first its almost imposimble to reach them but even now is the second most succed band
Thanks, I absolutely love this song. I love Bjorn's backing vocals. It's surprising how many of today's musicians were inspired by ABBA. There's quite a few heavy rock bands included on that list. I don't think any group will ever come close to them again. I reckon they're even bigger than the Beatles. I feel naughty for being nearly 42 years old and being almost obcessive compulsive over a group from the 70's! I can't get enough of anything ABBA. God bless You Tube! Keeps us ABBA junkies happy.
I am an amateur musician, I believe that ABBA has this amazing music, sync horde , vocals because the Pianist ( Maestro ) has a great influence and knowledge of Clacic music, and a lot of Imagination ! Thats why many songs it remind us something, like we heard it before.
Exquisite song! Even as a little kid, this song was like the music of angels to me, and I loved it as much as ABBA's hits from ARRIVAL. Thank you for sharing!
wow this is a beautiful song I missed abba I wish vh would bring back the abba concert so that the next generation could feel what the adult feel about abba music .
On our way to bodegga bay, to the annual pumkin patch farm going down the road-back it must back in 74-my sisster and her two friends singing along with an old ABBA tune-they were nutts about them-so i kinda rebeld against them-but looking back i guess i liked ABBA way more then wanted to admit. (o:
To all of you who are not old enough to be around in the 70'sand the 80's, all I can say is..... my heart bleeds for you. the 70's and 80's were the best decades for music... and ABBA gave a major contribution to music back then.
I was born in 1974. I was pretty young, but I enjoy them now. But I do wish I could have been old enough back then just to experience this group of my generation.
I hear you! Even me, despite having been born in 1973, I would have loved to go to an ABBA concert and was too young. I still remember getting my first 7" "Mamma Mia" from my brother when I was 6 or 7. It was a special moment in my life. I thought Agnetha was an angel (for real)
Todays music is no longer just about music which is sad and that's why very few artists have logevity.
I'm a 67 vintage, but still not old enough to go to a concert. I've never forgiven my mother for not letting me stay an hour past my bedtime to see ABBA interviewed LIVE on TV when they were in Australia. I stood at the door and she slammed it shut. I tried to watch through a crack and I got sent back to my room and grounded. I still remind her of that! I love now that it's nothing to be ashamed of to still be an ABBA fan, like it was in the mid to late 80's. It's almost a status thing now!
It was the men who cheated. Give men money, fame and lots of those willing and the temptation is too great for 99.9 percent of the male population. (And yes these two men must have been dumb as a box of rocks to risk their lives with two wonderful women like these.) I'm a man and I know how we are wired. It's really sad too, because we all lost Abba. Thanks ALOT Benny and Bjorn!
Agnetha said in an interview that she doesn't mind singing sad songs, it is like therapy for her. How could Bjorn leave her? She looks and sounds like an angel from the Viking country.
God Bjorn looks like my first love Simon. Even though I am happily married now, its still sad to see someone who looks like him. He really hurt me emotionally. :-( I went through a lot with Simon in my life.
I just read on other message boards that she cheated. :-( That brings another whole meaning to the song. Maybe she is really remorseful for what she did? Anyone know why she cheated?
Nooooooo. Aggie was faithful. It was actually Bjorn and Benny (I still Love'em though) both who had the wandering eyes and brought an end to both relationships. God knows why. These women were earthbound Angels. Merry Christmas!
you feel the pain of everybody specially bjorn every time agnetha is looking at him they were singing their life and last goodby in this song a masterpiece first time ever I seen this vd great piece very touching
WOW what a great song. This is the first I heard this song ever. Way was it never released on an Album in the U.S I would have loved to of had this song 30 years ago. And now that I have heard it I'll be back a lot to hear some more. Thank You for Sharing this Beautiful song..
they're not gone..they juz break up..but i read their bio..its not dat they break up..its bcos they needed sum time 2 do their stuff so benny n bjorn were working on mamma mia n d gurlz had solo careers.they didnt know it wud take so many yrs so after they're done,,they juz didnt feel like going back 2 ABBA..dats kinda..*crying* Anybody here have a tissue,by any chance??
@saffle82 : If I could suggest you something... The best way to forget and stop suffering is meeting someone else. This sounds ridiculous, but that's part of the rules of our lives. You have to literally fall in love again, with another woman. That's sincerely what I hope for you. You can't leave with such a hole in the heart...
I like the song. I like also Agnetha's interpretation. It so hard to let go the one you really love.

why do people all talk about Agnet and Frida? Bjorn and Benny are genius composers. Without their rhythms and lyrics, will ABBA be so successful ?

I think in the future ABBA indeed will be higher ranked than Beatles, musically.
Of course noone can come close to the impact Elvis and Beatles had on the youth and the society of their respective times.
But musically, I think ABBA will earn even higher esteem. They may be the best band of the 20th Century.

Guys, this is the moment to say "Hallelujah! I believe!" Angels exist and heaven must too.
This lady should be immortal. For the sake of the beauty in this world. God's fairy like creation.
And yes, Bjorn and Benny are plain stupid in all their genius.
