Today more than 1,000,000 people went to the streets to protest the spending for programs America doesn't need and doesn't want. The media and the President pretty much ignored these protests. More than 600 of them across the country.

First, they were protesting the Bush tax code, because tax policy takes a year to change in this country.
Second, the protest at the Boston Tea Party was much more complex then people just being "fed up." It was the "buy English" rules and the fact that they taxes were going to England, not helping abroad, that they were protesting.
It's also worth pointing out here that the colonists paid less severe taxes then their homeland counterparts.

Even with the current US budget predicted to hit a record of $3.5 trillion, thanks to a whooping $800 billion, 2 yr economic stimulus package and with several hundred billions being poured into a group of banks and this bottomless pit called AIG,the 800 billion budgeted for the military to date-a figure that includes $85 billion supplemental request for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan represents 22% of total us spending -
