@elevatorsonly They lock these floors off from the public for security reasons. However when I clean elevators, I sometimes punch those high-security buttons to make sure that the locking feature is on. But also I clean the badge reader to make sure that both lights are working.
Nice elevators, and I like the Otis Gen2 elevators a lot, along with ThyssenKrupp Synergy, Schindler 400A, and Kone MonoSpace. Hopefully these elevators will become more popular for hydraulic replacement in low-rise buildings, but 350-400 FPM for 15 floors is too slow. They should use more like 700-800 FPM, so it can travel in half the time.
At least your aunts office has OTIS elevators, new ones. My aunt's office has ThyssenCrap Traction elevators from 2001 and they have the longest buzz I've ever heared, and the building's parking deck elevators are traction, and are 25fpm, they took 2 minutes to go 45 feet last time I rode them!!! The main traction elevators serve 12 above, 1 below, and the parking deck serves 1 above, 6 below ground.
I am a guy. It was my aunt's card.

Have you seen any ThyssenKrupp Synergys? I have yet to see one.

Yes, I have, and one is located at the AT&T Executive Education & Conference Center. I also have one from a parking garage.

Cool, could you record it? I have yet to see one of those in action.

I've posted them, and just type in "ThyssenKrupp MRL Elevator."
