best movie ever im the only one who likes revenge of the fallen but i love the 1st one the designs for the robots are better then any ive seen before i like the more realistic machine style of them and starscream looks fucking cool
3)The director is Micheal Bay. I do agree with u on this part. Most of his movies suck. But this is his first really good one.
4)The story is human driven because its introducing the Transformers. It had to establish the backstory. Also, the budget wasn't big enough to just show the Transformers the ENTIRE time (that would've been stupid anyway!).
What are you talking about? "its introducing the Transformers. It had to establish the backstory"... That's like filming rocks for an hour and then doing a lightsaber fight and saying "Oh, we were introducing the jedi." Why would we need to introduce them over a 2 hour period by focusing on something else? In 99.9% of films, guess how they get around that problem? They introduce the main characters of the film in the first 15 minutes by FILMING THEM.
Did you even read my statement??? The budget wasn't big enough to have the Transformers on screen for an extended period of time. Presenting the Transformers from a human perspective was the only logical way to get around that.
"That's like filming rocks for an hour and then doing a lightsaber fight and saying "Oh, we were introducing the jedi."
No, it isn't....you're not really that stupid, are you?
"The story is human driven because its introducing the Transformers. It had to establish the backstory."
That's a claim that the reason the humans were given so much screen time was to introduce the robots. I used an analogy to demonstrate that filming an unimportant aspect of the story in order to give some insight into an important aspect is a nonsensical idea
THEN you talked about the budget on a separate point which I never talked about. And if you're going to start name-calling, fuck off
YOU'RE telling ME to fuck off??? You're the one responding to an arguement that was posted nearly a YEAR ago!
I know what you were ATTEMPTING to do (and I can't stress ATTEMPTING enough). But, it was a HORRIBLE analogy that didn't even make sense. Transformers was meant to pay homage to the 1980s and alien invasion movies. They purposely told it from that stand-point for that reason AND for the budget constraints.
All that crap I listed is a compilation of other movie review's thoughts about the movie. The only problem I had was Spielberg not directing. Or someone that already knew what Transformers was and didn't have to go to Transformers school to understand the concepts.
You are right. I too wish that Spielberg would've just went ahead and directed the movie himself. He would've been much more suited for the task in my opinion. But, Micheal Bay, actually did a good job. Wow...I never thought in a million years that I would actually say that!
Basically, Spielberg as director and more backstory of the Decepticons would have been fine. I did my research on why they used GM. No other car companies wanted their product to be seen as "violence" towards consumers. Shia was a good actor, Megan Fox was there just for her looks. All the robots look cool except for Megatron and StarScream. -done.
True Transformer fans would like this movie and don't really expect many people who don't know what the are talking about and never saw the 80/90's cartoons to understand. I'm interested in knowing the flaws people claim seeing in this movie because I can't remember one.
if was a transformers fan i would be fuming . i would be demanding my money back and i wouldwant michael shot for doing this shit. there was nothin in it. best thing was special effects . it was more a comedt than anything . and action were was it . i though this was going to be a movie about the transformers and what they could do. this film didnt ave me from being bored anyway. i just watched the cartoon movie for the first time . and it blew away the live one away

1. Giant advertising campaign for GM
2. Crap acting
3. Same director used for Pearl Harbor
4. Movie is called "TRANSFORMERS". not "Humans, with robots on the side".
5. Megatron looks like giant bionicle bug face. Actually most of the robots look like that.

Oh, and Starscrem750:
1)Who cares if a lot of GM cars were in it? GM makes good cars!
2) The acting was fine. It has Shia Labeouf in it!

Dreamworks has already promised that with the backstory now established and a bigger budget, the sequel will focus more on the Transformers.
5)You're probably 1 out of 3 people in the world who doesn't like the robots' new designs.

1) NO ONE CARES WHY THEY USED GM! A car is a car.
2) Megan Fox wasn't the BEST choice. Although, it could've been A LOT worse (Hilary Duff, Lindsay Lohan, etc).
3) ALL of the 'bots looked cool, INCLUDING Starscream and ESPECIALLY Megatron.
