  • where can i find this documentary??

  • Screamin' Jay rocks

  • after killin men singing about women probably made sense

  • guy at the end is dead too

  • Great entertainer but pretty fucked up bloke with no family loving values leaving all those children 50 odd or more and women with no money inheritance and never saw them. I guess you can say he put a spell on them!! No wonder he died with the constipation blues - the voodoo got him back.

  • those 50 kids rumours are all bullshit dude, the woman given the job of tracking down the kids didn't do DNA tests in the end she found about 8.

  • There was a documentary some years back that got all these supposed children together for a reunion and there was alot more than 8 for sure and they all damned look like him as well, but you could be right just women looking to cash in. Who knows? Anyway it looks like sreamin didn't give a fuck either way. There is funny clip of him playing in berlin where he talks about one of the german chicks he shags and put up the spout!

  • Probably his war experiences got rid of any sensitivity he might have had and he looked at woman just as a fuck like the enemy was to kill i guess.

  • He goes into a liquor store, takes a swig, then gets in his car.

  • @notdeadjustlazy Rock'n Roll style!

  • I know Alice Cooper gets all the credit for being the "first" shock rocker, but Screamin' Jay was doing it long before alice was and in my opinion I think Jay was better at it.

Think about it, we can thank Jay for the greatness that is Gwar, the Misfits, and every "horror" oriented band out there since the 50's.

He was truly an inspirational and innovative artist.

  • Great clip! Rudi must feel very privaliged to play with him. As the guy on the end said ''The stuff stays good and the other stuff goes away''......Too true!!

  • When Rudi talks about Jay being "VERY black" and how he "sang about cannibalism," (he's probably referring to "Feast of the Mau Maus") he's only pointing out how alien Jay must have seemed to White audiences, who were probably scared to death of him. It's quite obvious that Rudi LOVED Jay, and certainly wasn't making any kind of racist remarks, as some of you seem to be implying!

  • It's obvious that Rudi was describing the effect Jay had on the predominantly white audiences of the 50's, who were more prejudice than now. They had little, if any, contact with Blacks, and it was hard for Blacks to "make it" in the entertainment industry (case in point was Pat Boone covering Little Richard and having a bigger hit with his watered down version).

  • Yeah, I dont understand what Rudi is talking about. I know that I Put a Spell On You, the original--well, the 2nd version actually--the famous one, it got banned for "being cannibalistic"! That was one of the lame reasons they gave! they said the ending promoted it! so he had to re-record it.

But Protrudi makes little sense most of the time here, you're right.

The only disturbing thing to me was that Screamin' Jay saying he ENJOYED killing.

I still feel a little sick from that.

  • due grandi!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • A GREAT ENTERTAINER and one of the origional freaks. Ya gotta love the guy!!

  • pretty farking cool, I would love to see the rest.

  • Yeah let's have rest of it!

  • I would love to get my hands on the full documentary...

  • thanks , always nice to see some rare stuff with Rudi :-)
