Okay I was forced into because I lost my job but if you put your mind to it you can easily earn £35k pa. My goal this year is £50k gross profit - but I am a driven (business) man so I aim high!!! If I don't hit it it won't be through lack of trying - trust me!!

The 10K a month is achievable - but you have to do what he says, which, before you wince and moan about him, is only the same as Annabel Williams et al tell you. You have to go out there and be a business-person/sales-person first and a photographer second and you can do it, I am!!
Dom was the first guy i saw that helped me understand how a camera and lens worked, im still an amatuer but im getting stock jobs, modeling portfolios to do and now my first wedding. I bet he can make 10k a month just by selling those vids, he doesnt want to help you, Guys like Dom, Jared Polin, and Photogavin who punch out vids each week on youtube for free for you to watch, they are the guys that should be earning the 10k.
Look at it this way, he has successfully made his advertisement on Youtube for a price of an single ad on a magazine:) Anyhow, like you said, it's most unlikely that it's a printing error but a mess up in the original data of the photograph unless the picture was inteded to be this way. Obivoulsy, Cleghorn himself or his agency did not do a print proof check where the data he handed in was somehow corrupt.
@JD95 I just looked at the pic and it is BAD!! My guess is that the photo is fine and its either been screwed up at the proofing/printing stage. He'll probably get a shed load of free ads if it is the mag!!
I agree the Cleghorn advert is awful in every respect, but am I the only one who finds it strange that Lovegrove/Cleghorn/Boggio/Casey and others get paid to write what is effectively a multi-page advertorial for their respective businesses in every issue?! I was sure they must have had a personal stake in the publisher but have been assured they have not. 10 out of 10 for their respective marketing strategies!!

BTW: I looked back at his previous ads and this is a new layout using this image for the first time - it'll be interesting to see how it looks in the next issue!
That Advert just majorly.........SUCKS!!! Badly designed (graphics looks a mess), Bad Photo choices and badly laid out, also unrealistic promises (10k per month!!!...after how long 10 years in the business?!!)
I recon he must have got an advertising company to do this for him, because there is no way a self respecting professional photographer would do this to himself !

@AndyBJ - its actually an extra 10K per year and there are 10 modules = 100k and thats turnover, not profit. I am implementing one of the modules every 2 months (setting up a solid business strategy) and I am seeing returns - and it is achievable. But you have to work at it and sell. Just having a web site is not enough - you have to get your bum in gear, go out there and get it!!!

@antfirmin - it says 10K per month. I agree decent money is clearly achievable if you develop a good strategy so I will respect anyone who is successful, good on em! I accept his proposal has to be eye catching, so you have to make these claims. Also I accept every one who wants to teach has to compete with tons of other photographers, so fair play.

it really is a horrible image. looks like the photos that someone makes when he's out of ideas and then he tries to make the image look 'cool' by applying some weird photoshop stuff. but good photos are made with camera not PS. secondly, i think he's done the lastolite ezybox presentation on YT. ezybox is snazzy, but he seems like an harsh photographer almost screaming at the models.
Its annoying with Pro Photo because most of the pros have already written the article on their blogs a few weeks before pro photo is printed...

Ive never seen this guy before but that advert would put me right off him.
If i did an advert like that, i would get all my images together and let people select which one should be the main one
