  • I read a rumor on the Internet that Spielberg planned a sequel to his masterpiece. Where Dreyfuss character wakes up years later in our present time, in the same place behind Devil's Tower Wyoming, having seemingly not aged at all, and with no memory of what had occurred. He is then reunited with his family, who reject him believing he is a impostor. The film was intended 2 b a very dark exploration on people's attutdes of Religion Aliens and God. But the story got scrapped. It doesnt say why.

  • I was 13 and had enough money to see either Star Wars or Close Encounters. I went with the latter and, to this day, I am happy with my choice.

  • That is awesome - I don't know why but Close Encounters draws me in everytime I watch it - there's something about that movie that puts it beyond anything else - definitely Spielberg's best work.

  • The sight of the huge Mothership flying away from the ground in 70mm 6-track sterio sound, carrying with it John Williams swelling LSO soundtrack, man that's still one of my favorite movie memories.
