  • Looks like the M/V Kama.

  • though i think all detroit 2 strokes sound great, i personally like the sound of detroit marine engines. maybe it is the lack of mufflers.

  • @asulca593 I know a guy who has twin 6v71Ns (no aftercoolers) with mufflers. Loud as fuck though.

  • @asulca593 i kno what u mean they have a deeper tone it has somthin too do with the exhaust bein really wide and a few other things

  • detroit diesel 12v71 ti

  • why are crew boats so loud ???

  • @staticxfan4life because there is hardly any mufflers on them, well at least ours is that way, and the exhaust tubing is super short

  • @MuddyMississippiMan ok thanks i always wondered that now i know!!

  • @staticxfan4life our 4 mains aren't really all that loud, but the motor for our bow thruster is extremely loud

  • Those boats with the 16V71's are pretty quick..92's are beasts too!

    T.I's FTW

  • those detroit`s sounds fkn niceeee in persone!!!

    nice sound

  • Gotta love Detroits :-)

  • Great post. I love the sounds of crew boats especially the Detroits and Cats.

  • Excellent video (notwithstanding that fog horn)! Correct me if I'm wrong, those sound like twin 12-71 turbo Detroits on that crew boat. Nothing compares to the sound of those motors running at 2000 rpm! Check out VOLVIENDO A PUERTO on Youtube (from TitanComodin, playing time 3:43) for the sounds of twin 12-71 Detroits at their finest!

  • @johnwoa More likely 4 of 'em. Some of these crewboats run 16V71's too.

  • Thanks for the reply. I appreciate it!!
