Oh you've uploaded this too? Awesome! Even though I own it on DVD myself, it's great that others who don't have that luxury get to see these fine movies.
MOVIES: before(western movies times): very good actors and regular effects today: bad actors and good effects, we need the old movies back... thumbs up if you agree
I love that movie, but I can't help but wonder why there is a station keeper on duty when the train isn't stopping. I mean what is he actually doing there, except looking out the ticket window?
My second favorite western (TGTBTU is #1) - GREAT to see it back on the 'Tube'. Hope it doesn't get axed by the YouTube police! THANKS for uploading it.
@EternalAnachronism I saw the movie in May 1967 at the Jefferson Theatre in my home town. It was NEW. I later found out it was released first in Italy in Dec 1965 and was a huge hit in Italy, Spain and Germany. It had alreayd made a tidy profit for Sergio Leone and Alberto Grimaldi BEFORE it was released here. The only actors speaking English were Clint Eastwood and Lee Van Cleef who dubbed their voices in New York in the fall of 1966. The other actors were dubbed by New York actors.
@EternalAnachronism Also of interest that is Sergio Leone himself whistling and humming at the beginning before the rifle shoots the man off the horse and the credits begin. And another bit of info I've learned over the years is the New York actor who dubbed Italian actor Gian Maria Volonte (Indio) also dubbed the Captain in charge of taking the bridge in Good, Bad and Ugly. If you listen you can tell it's the same voice. He was a New York actor who worked often dubbing foreign films named Grant
Correction: Volante DID perform his own voice-over for the English language version, but he needed a translator to tell him what to say word-for-word.
@ma7799 That is not what Bernie Grant claimed. He said he did Volonte's voice for almost all of his films in the US including For A Few Dollars More and his wife Joyce dubbed Claudia Cardinale in Once Upon a Time in the West.
Google: Bernard Grant. He has passed away but did claim the Indio character as one of his dozens of voice jobs in Italian to English movies. Grant worked in New York City.

@ma7799 The mike was probably a number of feet in the background from the rifle.....makes perfect sense.
