  • GREAT TRASH

  • @aidenbullo i know right. she's so damn fine. dyna girl looks kinda hot in a dorky way.

  • Love it when the cackling villian calls our heroines "Electro-Chicks"! Love the 70's style outlandish fashions & music! Like, electra-groovy, daddy-o! THANKS for sharing this delightful "blast from the past" with us! Those Electro Chicks were both pretty hot babes...strictly from hubbahubbasville! :)

  • I can't believe my sister and I use to watch this shit! This shit sucks!

  • @blackdrument: Shitty yes, but you have to admit those tits in those tights were awesome

  • @NickB1967 It's really easy to tell who are the men and who are the women commenting on this. Clearly you don't care if the only real power these women have is in their bras holding up what they got in front.

  • @Miracle490d: I dunno--Diedre Hall otherwise had a fine acting career. Lighten up, the Sid and Marty Kroft shows were hilarious.

  • I had a crush on Deidre Hall as Electra Woman back in the 70's and she look so

pretty in her costume. This was my favorite Electra Woman and Dynagirl episode.

Saturday mornings in the 1970s were a lot better back then.

  • i find the description funny

  • I remember this LOL. GlitterRock was out of control. He should have had his own show LOL! They both were hot but I had this "thing" for Dyna Girl. If you were doing drugs and watching this it would be even more "out of control" LOL!

  • This show was so stupid!

  • It would had been great to see Hamlin Rule team up with Glitterrocker, which would had led to Wonder Woman teaming up with Electra Woman and Dyna Girl. Wonder Woman would find the control room and try to stop Glitterrocker from hypnotyzing Electra Woman and Dyna Girl, only to be hypnotyzed by Hamlin Rule. When Electra Woman and Dyna Girl are dehypnotyzed, they would rescue Wonder Woman and use her golden lasso to dehynotyze her, and the three of them would defeat Hamlin Rule and Glitterrocker.

  • looks like you got a good pitch for that wonder woman remake they got coming up. i feel pretty sure i'd rather watch a version of the above than whatever weak sauce they actually end up making.

  • @highway234 I was just saying they ought to make a remake of a serious Woman hero, but wonder Woman had no real serious power. Stopping bullets with bracelets is really pretty stupid. even martial arts has limits. If I was a criminal, I'd just aim for wonder woman's leg. If she tries to block that low with her wrists, she's open for a shot to the shoulder. Marvel Comics really jipped women. And wasn't wonder woman's secret identity some kind of secretary? How could a secretary get an invisible...

  • @highway234 ...Marvel Comics really jipped women. And wasn't wonder woman's secret identity some kind of secretary?

How could a secretary get an invisible jet; even if they can make one believable and impressive? And if she can be seen sitting there, I don't consider that so impressive. I can't say I remember Electro woman's powers, but I'd rather see a remade female super hero with some serious power over electricity than a rope of truth.

  • @Miracle490d yeah, electrowoman's superpower seemed to just be to push buttons on that little bracelet. and dynagirl's superpower seemed to be to say some sorta robin-like sidekick quip and ask electrowoman what to do.

  • @LiberaLib Well that's weaker than Wonder Woman. Seems like the only good Woman hero was Jamie Summers the bionic woman. They should do a remake of her or completely do over a woman with some serious power equal to the men heros. The comedy My Super Ex-girlfriend was a better role model. We must've been more easily impressed as kids. Cuz looks like (unless altered with real power) these girls would only be good for a porno remake by all the male whoops.

  • @Miracle490d there are stronger women superheroes in comics, i think. electra, raven (from new teen titans), etc. if you want a tweaky female superhero, check out female robin from the mark miller "dark knight returns" from the 80s. that said, decisions whether to make characters strong or weak isn't necessarily just motivated by, we're patriarchal so we're gonna make women heroes weak. you're supposed to stack the odds against your protag. final girls in slasher movies are usually strong...

  • @Miracle490d ... and resourceful, the male characters feckless and ineffectual, but the gender politics of slashers are still far from clear. also, don't forget lara croft!

that said, i think you're mostly right. there's clearly some sexism in EW&DG, clearly some pandering to a teen and preteen male audience (among whom i was included when this show was on). still, krofft superstars was pretty low-budget, hastily made so political readings have to contend with a high signal-to-noise ratio.

  • This takes me back to the 70s living in the Bronx. The good ol days when there was dog poop everywhere.

  • one of my favorite shows of the 70's ..pay attention this is when tv shows were good!!!!

  • JESUS CHRIST IT'S THE GUY FROM BEYOND THE VALLEY OF THE DOLLS

Nice to see his head grew back.

  • The only thing worse than this is WB's AWFUL attempt to remake this show in 2001...

  • They did WHAT?!!

Not even the WB could be that cheesy! UPN, maybe, but not the WB!

  • When did the WB try to remake this and what was the exact title of the show?

  • Wow, I'm so glad filming is over for the day. Let's go do some blow in the greenroom!

  • Electro-WOW!

  • That's how you know it's a kids show. This dude has these two under his complete, unyeilding control, and what does he do with them?

Have them kill themselves. It makes so much sense without hormones.

  • the guy must not like women lol

  • Good god EW and DG were so freaking hot. I dedicated quite a few to them when I hit that age and still do lol.

  • "Right on, electric chicks!"

  • DynaGirl was HOT :) Loved the show as a kid. Who is the guy at the end? He looks familiar.

  • There they are. Just found girlfriends for Batman and Robin :-)

  • Wow. That dude looks like a White Bootsy Collins.

  • A mix between El Chapulin colorado and Beny Hill. But el Chapulin was higher budget and Beny Hill better special efects

  • "Can you believe they showed this stuff to little kids on saturday morning? No wonder we all turned out so messed up.

    "Hahahahaha!

  • This was one of my favorite shows when I was a kid. IT'S DYNA-PERFECT!!!! The "GLITTER ROCK" episode is the best. MICHAEL BLODGETT from "BEYOND THE VALLEY OF THE DOLLS" is in this one. DYNA-GIRL was DYNA-FOXY!!!!

  • OMG! Did she say Electra-de-gravitate!? I LOVE IT!

  • not only that, she said it while in free fall!

  • The Batman and Robin of the 70's. I read Deidre Hall enjoyed doing the show but regreted how embarrasing she felt doing the storylines due to the fact that they were so ill-fated. As most know she went on to greater fame on Days Of Our Lives for 33 yrs until her retirement of the soap last January.

  • At 0:38, why does he sound like the Joker on TV's Batman?

  • It was a fun show to watch.

  • All it needed was better acting, better directing, better cinematography, better costumes, and (of Course) better writing. Then it would have been great!

  • you forgot the derivative, bargain-basement set design, and the fact that their location scout seemed to be on the downward sweep of his manic-depressive cycle.

however, hot women in tights: check.

  • and a Background actor or two might have helped. Preferably hot ones in tights

  • Comment removed

  • haha, that's being kind.

  • Well, don't take it too harshly. He's only retarded in the beginning. He caught my attention in the middle

  • oh no no, he actually is retarded. it's horrible horrible television, that's part of the fun, i guess.

  • Yeah, shows like this messed us up but it was a fun way to go insane!I loved the Electrawoman & Dynagirl segments on "The Krofft Supershow."I clipped a picture of EW & DG out of a TV Guide & kept it taped on my bedroom wall until my mother made me take it down.I was mad as heck when our heroines were taken out of the Supershow lineup.I considered boycotting ABC but realized a one-boy boycott wouldn't be effective.Soap fans know Deidre Hall as Dr. Evans but she'll always be Electrawoman to me.

  • They just don't do Saturday mornings like they used to. Why even get out of bed. Looking at this now at 39 all I can say is our generation didn't stand a chance.

  • this was great!!! so psychedelic!!

  • I wanna be Dynagirl for Halloween.

  • hmmmm...that voice sounds alot like the joker. LOL!

  • I'm almost ashamed we're all here checking this video out. lol. As 38 year old, I've always fantasized about dressing up like Glitter Rock and banging the crap out of Rose Bowl Blond. ahhh, yes. ( seriously, great quality to this old clip. bravo, highway 234.

  • This show sends me into fits of giggling! I fucking love it!

  • Didn't Glitter Rock go on to produce albums by Metallica? Oh, wait. That was his brother Bob.

  • I think you're right. No wonder we're all messed up now. But I wouldn't change it for a thing. :) EW and DG was one of my guilty pleasures. No, not THAT way!!

  • It would have been better if his head exploded at 1:50

  • i think they cut that scene out so they wouldn't get stuck with an X rating.

  • "she" has a bulge in her tights. What's up with that?

  • moose knuckles

  • Get Smart had the Groovy Guru in the 60's, so here we get the evil Glitter Rock. ^_^

  • I wonder where Glitter Rock is now... serving time in a Vietnamese prison maybe?-)

  • The Hanoi Hilton?

  • Indeed this show contributed to the "tastes" I have now.*wicked grin* I too am 40 and I loved this show when it was on.

  • I'm embarrassed to say I remember watching this show when there was nothing else on!

  • im 40 and I believe I have a fetish for broads in spandex because of dyna girl lol.

  • When you're 7 years old, watching hot chicks in spandex fight crime is way cool. It was too bad this show didn't last longer than it did. It was a tongue-in-cheek rip-off of Batman and Robin, but was a great kid's show. This was one of the Krofft's better shows.

  • I remember this show.
