wonderful, wonderful poem. i only wish i was a famous poet myself so my congratulations would mean something significant to you :) keep trying to get published!
@sjlykowski Thank you for your comment. I would say that being famous isn't so important. You Tube is fun and an opportunity to connect with interesting people. I'll subscribe to you.
I'm a christian, and yet I think people thank God for things he didn't exactly do, people can go nuts with anything, I see your point, and yet, I don't think your poem is bitter, as the title might suggest. I think your poem and title reflect the truth that there are other things worthy of our praise as well, and more than that, our gratitude, the bad and the good.
And just exactly Who do you believe created "babies, earth, skies, trees, rivers, stars, etc?" Yet you refuse to praise Him? Pride comes before a fall and it is pride that He hates most because it stems from Satan.
I appreciate all these verses of this great poem that is,but for me...I thank the earth,sky,tree's and so on, touches everything in me ,thank's for this.
When we moved to town we had a big barn sale and parted with most of our books. Now I have the public library near. I'm sure your own library is wonderful. Thanks Megan.
so nice. I thank you for your poem.

what can I thank Hitler
and the devil for?
let me think, oh,
for making me think
That was an absolutely perfect answer from you, but of course, we could expect nothing less that perfect thought from e perfectly learned mind:)

A poem by someone in touch with reality. We can learn something from everybody and we can learn everything from nature. In inspiration.

Don't forget to thank yourself -- whoever would you be without you -- lol! Being one, I particularly like that you mention "imperfect people!"
