@angels chasing popularity and actually getting popularity is 2 different things don't change the fact this was a great cd no matter what direction they went after that.MTV and radio decided metal of this nature was over and forced alot to try it.AKA Warrant tried to go grunge so did Motley Crue and alot of other hair metal bands.

@Croaks33 Yes I agree. But Babylon A.D fitts into the later category. They chased popularity. So you've already proved that you agree with what I've stated. There was a lot of exciting new bands coming through at this time. XYZ, Fifth Angel etc all playing this kind of metal. As far as Motley Crue was concerned, they'd already made it and decided to experiment. Don't forget Vince had left them during this periodand his solo material wasn't grunge, he kept it metal.

I liked this band when they came out. Half-decent debut album. But then they jumped ship and joined the grunge scene the traitor bastards. The grunge scene did us a favor in the end. It got rid of all the fake bastards like Babylon Ad who wimped out. Had these cunts stuck with their metal roots they'd have made it. Fuck them.

@Kainturner Obviously you didn't follow them at all. I did and they chased popularity (grunge) for thier second album. They were never metal metal, but they did have a nice metal sleezey blues vibe going for them. They traded that to join the grunge scene and died a death. Fuck them.

Thats one way to look at it but Cobain and Nirvana weren't responsible for the copycats who ripped them off. Also, the pigs who control the music mags, Mtv, radio, etc., did all they could to push that music, gave it names, grunge and alternative and were pushin it and the stupid public fell for it as they always do. Metal has never got that respect buy lives on despite the establishment!
