  • I also have a motorola z3 button interface and never took off, I had the phone a long time over a year, but now swapped for a more modern (samsung corby)

  • TA JEVI EL MIO ES DE ESE PERO MAS VACANO

  • i've got this phone for 2 years.. and i still have his box... its so awsome!

  • Had this phone for a year and i love it but i cant tex because the screen broke but it was my fault then on the back where the speaker is that fell of in a bush and i could not find it so the back is vary weak and you could lose it but i am going to get a new screen and that is a little of my experience with the phone if u r interested

  • My wife has had her Motorola RIZR Z3 for just over five months now and it's held up pretty well so far. One exception, that I noticed today, is that the little strip of plastic above the directional pad and below the screen, that one uses to slide the cell phone open and closed, has fallen off and cannot be found.

That plastic strip was the only part that didn't seem very durable upon close inspection of the cell phone. Fortunately, it's still easy to slide it open and closed without that part.

  • where can you get earphones for this phone because mine has a mp3 on it

  • There are two ways to use headphones with your cell phone. The first way involves buying stereo Bluetooth headphones that support the A2DP Bluetooth profile. You simply pair the Bluetooth headphones to your cell phone and listen to music normally. Bluetooth headphones can be expensive though.

The second way involves buying a Mini-USB adapter and plugging this into your charging port and plugging a pair of normal, 3.5 mm, headphones into the other end of the adapter. This is a cheaper solution.

  • thanks man

  • ok i got this phone from t mobile and the box didnt look like that and it didnt come with half the stuff urs does

  • I bought my wife's unlocked Motorola RIZR Z3 from an online retailer which is not affiliated with either AT&T or T-Mobile. The box you saw in the video, that her cell phone came packaged in, is likely the international box design.

I was also surprised to see the leather case and the belt clip in the box. I didn't pay any extra for those two items. I guess they just threw them in there as a bonus. Those two accessories and the power plug converter probably weren't included with your cell phone.

  • me too

  • Im On AT&T And im getting this phone next month does it work good

  • Greetings! My wife and I are also use the AT&T network. The signal strength and sound clarity has been superb. It definitely surpasses that of my wife's previous cell phone, which was a Motorola SLVR L6.

To put that into perspective, here is an example of its improved signal strength. With her old cell phone, I'd be lucky to hold a decent conversation with her while she was in the basement. With her Motorola RIZR Z3 she has more signal strength bars and the sound quality is perfect. It's great!

  • i go this phone.

u breathe really hard... no offence

  • I hope you're enjoying your Motorola RIZR Z3. In my opinion, it's really a great cell phone! :)

Haha! Well, I know it sounds like I'm breathing very hard, but it's really just a trick of the sound in the video. My face just happened to be very close to the digital camera's microphone, so it picked up what sounded like heavy breathing. I'm not offended by your comment. :D

  • Hey, i was reading some of the comments and i was just curious, where do you download games to put on this phone? i looked and i cant find any,

    thanks in advance.

  • The way I find games is to just do a Google search. The file extension for the games, which are Java J2ME based, is ".jar", so be sure to include ".jar" in your Google search. You can add the name of the game you might be interested in, like "Tetris", for example. There are a lot of Java games on the Internet.

I also recommend trying to find games that will fit your phone's screen resolution. The Motorola RIZR Z3's screen resolution is 176x220, so most Motorola RAZR V3 games will work as well.

  • ok cool, thanks for the help.

  • Hey man maybe you should try beathing a little harder next time, sounds like I'm watching a porno...

  • Haha! Well, then you must watch really boring pornography if hearing my breathing reminded you of that. As explained below, the camera's microphone is on top of the device so it caught my breathing as I recorded the video. I had it near my face because I wanted to keep it as steady as possible. :)

Anyway, thanks for the hilarious comment. I hope you can try and find some more interesting pornography to watch. I wouldn't want you to get too bored. Happy holidays! ;)

  • he's talking softcore there, not the good stuff ;)

But why didn't talk if you had a mic?

  • Indeed, that is probably what he meant by his comment. I figured I'd just reply with something humorous. :)

I didn't talk because I'd always planned the video to just be me showing what is included in the box. I've been meaning to overlay the video with some music and add the annotations explaining what I'm showing. I just haven't gotten around to that yet. I'm hoping to have some more time to do that during my vacation. :D

  • Talking makes videos more interesting IMO, pretty sikk phone, i got it a little while ago :D Plus who watches softcore, it's too silent

  • i ordered this phone on saturday did it give you any trouble so far its supposed to come on tuesday

  • I think you've made a good choice on the cell phone you bought. My wife has been using her Motorola RIZR Z3, without a hitch, for nearly three months now. The fit and finish on the device is excellent and the features are very comprehensive, yet simple to use. It's also a very good looking phone. :D

So far, she has been very pleased with the phone's call quality. It gets better reception that her previous phone, the Motorola SLVR L6. Overall, it was a great purchase. I hope you enjoy yours. :)

  • thanks i just got mines on wednesday its just like the one your wife has its a amazing phone to have

  • I'm very happy that you're pleased with your new cell phone. If you have any further questions about the operation of it, please feel free to post them here in this video's comment section or private message me. That goes for anyone else who has watched my video and has questions regarding this phone's operation or specifications. I'm here to help! :)

I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday. The year 2009 is almost upon us! :D

  • lol i just figured out songs that you put on this you can use as ringtones its cool

  • That is quite true. I, however, have found that AT&T/Cingular phone providers only allow the phone to ring for 20 seconds before sending the call to your voice mail. Therefore, I usually choose what part of the song I want to hear and then trim away the rest to save space with an MP3 utility. It works great. :D

You can even create a folder on your SD card called "Ringtones" and throw them in there. That way they don't get mixed up with your normal MP3 song files. ;)

  • lol true but i use my phone mostly for music but its very good in clarity

  • Hi. I have 2 questions.

    1) How can you put games on the phone?

    2) I am planning on getting this phone, and I was wondering if it is better than the Motorola RAZR V3 in your opinion. Please respond.

  • 1) You can connect the phone via mini USB cable and it will show up as a USB Mass Storage Device. You can then drag and drop games and applications onto the phone's memory (or MicroSD card) via Windows Explorer. If you go into the Games & Apps menu on the phone there will be an option to install what you've copied over.

    2) I feel the Motorola RAZR V3 is a bit outdated at this point and I've heard it's had its fair share of software/hardware problems. The Motorola RIZR Z3 has been great so far.

  • hahahaha I'm so sorry but I couldn't stop laughing because of your heavy breathing especially when I scrolled down and saw the darth vader comment it made me laugh even harder. So thanks, I guess. I need a new phone and I think I'm gonna get this one :D

oh and I don't mean to insult you, I understand that if the speaker was right near your mouth your breathing would get recorded too. I just thought it was hilarious for some reason.

  • Oh, that's perfectly fine. I wasn't offended in the least. No apologies are needed. I hope that my video has helped you to make a decision on whether or not you would like this cell phone. ;)

I'm actually glad that some people find the video humorous, but at the same time, informational as well. That seems like a good combination to me. :)

  • Hey im getting this phone for christmas.....i just wanna know .....do u like it???.....write back

  • Yes, my wife and I both like this cell phone very much. It has a lot of practical (and just plain cool) features and the expandability up to 2GB of space with a MicroSD card is great for music, videos, and Java games.

It has a two megapixel camera that takes very good pictures as well as decent video. Additionally, it's voice command feature is nice because it recognizes names in your phone book without having to "train" it to by recording them. It's also been quite durable. I hope this helps.

  • You must have just been really excited!

  • Actually, I was pretty excited about doing my first unboxing video for YouTube. I was also excited about the cell phone in question because of the new features it had versus my wife's old cell phone. :D

My cell phone (Motorola V505) is over four years old now and I still love it, but soon enough it will be time for me to replace it as well. I'll probably do an unboxing video for it too. I look forward to improving my video taking skills in the next one I make. Thanks for the comment. :)

  • You sound like Darth Vader on prozac.

  • Yeah, haha, I know. The microphone is on top of my digital camera so, unfortunately, it captures all the ambient noise coming from me, including my breathing because the camera was right by my face as I was taking the video. I promise you I wasn't in a marathon or something prior to the recording of this video. Your comment made me laugh though. ;)

I think I should overlay the video with some music. Music might draw more attention to the video's subject matter and less to the videographer. :)

  • I HAVE THIS FONE!

  • My wife has had hers just over a month now and it's been great so far. It's really a nice cell phone. :)

I recently installed a couple Java games (.jar file) on hers. I thought it would require the use of a Bluetooth connection to my laptop, but I was able to just copy them directly to the phone's SD card via the USB cable. I created a folder called "game" on the SD card. I went into the Games & Apps menu and there was an option to install all the new games I'd copied onto the SD card. ;)

  • when you give a thumbs up, your thumb looks HUGE.

  • Hahaha! What a funny comment. Well, it's most likely due to the angle in which I'm aiming my digital camera and the perspective induced by that angle versus the location of my thumb. I assure you my thumb is normal sized. :)

If it was huge it sure would make hitchhiking for a ride easier. Not that I indulge in that practice. :D

  • can you use mp3's from your micro sd card as your ringtone?

  • Yes, you can.

  • I connected the phone to my laptop via a mini USB cable I bought on Amazon. Then I just threw a random MP3 file I had into the "audio" folder of the 2GB SD card that's in the phone (recognized as a mass storage device). I then went into the "Multimedia" menu and chose the "Sounds" option. The MP3 I'd put on the SD card showed up in the list of sounds for the phone (it shows an SD card symbol next to its name).

You can then choose "Apply as" and then "Ringtone". So it seems to work.

  • wow. thanks a lot! :D

  • No problem at all. I'm glad I was able to help you out. ;)

I hope you're still enjoying it. Happy holidays. :D

  • Watch out for that middle center interface button. Everyone I know who had it and regularly used it had it fall apart. Not the greatest phone in my opinion.

  • how does it fall off if it's flat?

  • It just kinda glued there in the middle, and when it gets a lot of use it the glue just wears away.

  • Well, I suppose only time will tell regarding the durability of the phone. My wife's phone is only about two weeks old now.

I know two weeks isn't a long time, but it seems as solid as the day it was first unboxed (as seen in the posted video). The center interface button has been heavily used already as she uses her phone as an MP3 and video player as well.

  • My wife has had her Motorola RIZR Z3 for nearly eight months now and the middle center interface button, that was mentioned above, finally did fall off. I was actually a bit surprised by this because it always felt durable when it was pressed in.

I solved the issue by gluing it back into place and it is good as new. My wife still loves her cell phone and continues to use it as an MP3 and video player along with its normal functions.

  • what service provider

  • I'm using AT&T Wireless and my wife's phone works great with it. Of course, her phone is unlocked so we should be able to use it on any GSM cell phone service provider in the world as it is quad band.

I hope that answers your question. Please feel free to post more if you have any.

  • Nice phone son, what kind of ringtone did you put on it?

  • Thanks! I haven't put any new ringtones on it yet. So, for now anyway, she's using the default annoying "Hello Moto" ringtone that came with it. Hopefully that will change soon. :)

I'll be happy to make her a ringtone of any song or sound she wants as long as she changes it from that default one soon. It gets on my nerves after a while. :)

  • that's nice it comes with an internation plug adapter :)

  • Yes, it comes with an international power plug converter. This one looks like it's a French/German one. My wife's previous phone was a Motorola SLVR L6 that I believe came with a British power plug converter. I'm really glad they include it or I couldn't charge the phone. :)

Thanks for posting a comment. I plan on adding some annotations to the video shortly to explain what I'm pulling out of the box so it's more informative for everyone. :)
