  • 42:11 Is that music from Braveheart?

  • What is the song from 2:00 till like idk 2:30!!? Someone answer please!

  • I am not British but I love ancient cultures. As an african, I like to see how the evil white man came about through his savage roots. Just shows me how savage and warlike crackers are.

  • @thegloriousryius

You're not African, you're a self-loathing White whose allowed itself to be indoctrinated by the Frankfurt School of Cultural Marxism. Incidently, the civilisation you enjoy was created & built by - wait for it, the White race, the race you are trying your damnest to distance yourself from. BTW, the African Negroid race has never evolved beyond its savage roots whereas the White race has although the White race may well be forced to reconnect with its savage roots once again.

  • 19:30 I have claustrophobia and I was literally hyperventilating as I watched this.

  • @ContradictoryNature I don't have claustrophobia, but it made me feel really, really uncomfortable!

  • Thank you soooo much for posting this!! <3

  • Thank you for sharing this great video ;-)

  • Claustrophobia from 19 mins :)

  • Oh no, how could I have forgot the Ancient Aliens? I only watch PBS on TV now. Everything else is so incredibly stupid! Truly, I don't understand how others willing watch regular TV nowadays. For me, it is a form of torture. I would have gone stark raving mad if it wasn't for YouTube! Thank you again PIETRASZE!

  • Great video, but unless really shoddy leaded bronze was the norm in Britain, there were no strength advantages to iron. Crude steel is very soft and fragile next to good bronze, and Bronze was the standard for the very finest officer grade weapons and swords until around 250BC. Still Iron did pop the bubble as it completely deflated the Bronze bubble as stated, for in crude weapons and tools it is far cheaper and gets the job done almost as well.

  • Excellent program. 5 stars!

  • The TV series covers this era pretty well and yet in part fantasy: "Game of Thrones" thanks for post ...

  • Och, aye, Jimmy, the noo. Thanks a bunch for this. The BBC World Service doesn't allow people in France to watch videos. Some "World" Service ! It's a shame, as the BBC is tops for quality

  • One thing they always leave out is that when they find a body where they were killed they always say "human sacrifice" but instead they should ask a second question: What if they were executed as a criminal? It would show the first signs of a judicial system or even crime.

  • @Arelak Exactly as I was thinking. If there was evidence to suggest ritualistic sacrifice, I'd have liked Mr. Oliver to have explained it. Otherwise, I'd say criminal execution is at least as valid a conjecture.

  • This series is just great for a Yank who learned English history in school (they forced me).

  • Thank you for posting for I can't watch regular TV. The History, A&E & Discovery channels, who used to provide decent programming back in the '90s have descended into such rubbish that is "Storage Wars, Sons of Guns, Pawn Stars, Ice Road Truckers" etc.. & don't even get me started on the Oxygen channel. In search of the almighty dollar, American TV continues to sink to become more coarse, base, vulgar & downright stupid in order to appeal & support the stupor of the American masses.

  • @antonietta1221 Ya, somewhat disheartening isn't it?

  • @antonietta1221 so true my friend and you said it so well

    greetings from Texas

  • @antonietta1221 Not to mention Ancient Aliens! I don't believe a single 'fact' on History Channel after that rubbish. Yes PIETRASZE, thank you for uploading this.

  • @antonietta1221 Amen. You are among friends.

  • @antonietta1221 I totally agree. The ignorance appearing on the TV these days is sad on showing the state of intellect in this country. If the ever get rid of what few decent channels there are, I'm leaving before the living dead walk about.

  • THANK YOU FOR UPLOADING! :-D I'm a fan of Mr Oliver but his work can be hard to find in the US.

  • Thank you very much for uploading this wonderful and educational documentary.

  • Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

This is not available in many places because the BBC blocks this documentary from viewing in the US, which is understandable: no tax support money flowing from the former colony. After watching this I'm inspired to build a stone circle in my backyard and meditate on the arresting of the slow but relentless intellectual deterioration of the minds in America.

    Many thanks.

  • @kevinaugustine LOL Thats good!

  • Thank you so much for up loading these wonderful documentaries! Really appreciate your kindness.

  • Climate change and economic collapse in the bronze age. Wow, how history repeats itself even after all this time. Fascinating! The more I learn about our ancient ancestors the more I realize we are not that different in intelligence, ingenuity and societal structure. However, I think they had more common sense.

  • @kevinaugustine not really. BBC does that because BBC America is a PAID channel on cable. On the other hand, american university courses are pen to anyone in the .edu section of YouTube and on open courseware, regardless of who contributes with donations or pays taxes in America.

  • @kevinaugustine

Most of America was never a colony of Britain. More of it was a former territory of Russia or part of Mexico. More Americans today live in former Spanish territory than British, learn something of how America was formed.
