@601karl I just came back from tsinghua. You'll meet so many lovely people (foreigners and some chinese people :S) and with all the festivals going on, you'll have heaps of fun. :)

I don't know about anyone else, but the pinyin for 清华的清 is really bugging me...

@OrsinoDuke Unfortunately,it's too late for me to enrol at an American university because,despite the racist abuse that myself and my fellow Chinese students suffered at the University of Dundee,I managed to get my PhD and am now happily working back home in China.I realise that America is a far less racist society than the UK,more specifically,Dundee.Dundee,in my view,is the neo Nazi capital of the world. If the Vice Principal of this university is racist,you can imagine what that place is like

There is a university in the United Kingdom called the University of Dundee. It's in Scotland. I would very strongly urge Chinese students who're thinking of coming to the UK to undertake undergrad or postgraduate studies to NOT enrol at the University of Dundee. Many Chinese students at this university have been racially abused (either verbally, and in some cases physically.) Some lecturers at this university are very racist towards Chinese students and the city of Dundee is also VERY racist.

@hujintao3 i take it u had a bad expereince there?? or just heard it was bad? not that i was going to go there but i dont think id ever want to now.....! ^^

@kittycat13542, I personally had a very bad experience there. I was doing a PhD there and one day my supervisor told me that the university is "being overrun by Chinese and other Asian people." If that isn't racist, I don't know what is. Also, one of the Vice Principals at the university, Prof. James Calderhead, once referred to a female Chinese lecturer, Dr. Janet Liao, as "that Chink lady." And I personally knew two fellow Chinese students who were physically attacked ON CAMPUS !
