  • @Theweirdchainsawguy Tips? Do you mean hammers on the hammer mill? Depends on the wood and how long we are running. On average running just for local businesses we replace 2-5 per week. If we are doing a disaster it can range from 10-40 per week depending on the raw debris. The war of metal vs. wood. Hardest wood around here is oak and cypress.

  • @ovalnet

Thats very helpful, thank you for a straight answer...

  • that veermeer 9000 seems to be alot faster than the morbark what one works better

  • @ipookie87

We have owned both and the Vermeer can produce faster brush but not big wood. The Morbark puts out more volume. The saying. "You need a bigger bus to move more people, not a faster one." If your looking for a Tub Grinder for disaster recovery or big wood reduction, get a Morbark. A Vermeer can do everything else.

  • @ovalnet disaster recovery is mainly brush rightso why not just get a vermeer if it is faster at brush, dont u think a horizontal would also be faster, new to the grinding so just a thought

  • @Droprite Horizontal will grind a little faster but you are restricted on the size of material. But Vermeer and Dimond Z well hell all manufacturs make a big horizontal so you can still grind big wood. A tub is nice but much more prone to throwing stuff out then a horizontal...... if you dont keep a tub full it will throw suff so you have to be careful were you use one. Hey ovalnet do yall own any Dimond Zs?

  • I've got almost 7k hrs on one of these and while I can't argue with the production rate.........Down time is pretty steep. Of course had it not been the second one they ever built it might have done better also.

  • hey great video is there any chance that thhe next one is without music where we can listen to to sound of the machine working

diggerdude keep up the great work

  • super video!!! 5/5

  • Sorry couldn't find a song that I thought was unique or one that could fit the "action", LOL. I am open for suggestions when I make my next clip "DUAL 1600's" where we will try and get both our 1600's side by side. The Vermeer in this clip may have been a TG9000 now that I think about it.

  • @ovalnet do u do disater recovery
