  • What keyboard setting is the main riff playing on! I have been trying to find the sound forever. Is it a synth of some sort! And how do you make it sound so perfect! Does logic studio have it? Someone please reply to this!

  • Its been awhile since i dabbled with synths but at a guess i would say its base is a horn. Try a horn preset then try to shape the sound from there.

A good way to learn how to prog a synth is thru other ppls saved files, you can look to see what setting they used on the vst synths. Reason was good to work with as you always had the same instruments as others ppl due to it been a enclosed system and they sounded decent to good aswell.

  • Its called "tech lead". Most synths got it, its on all of the yamaha synths f.ex :)

  • It's an incredibly simple sound. Basically just a saw wave with a few effects.

  • @FASSY524 It's simply a pure saw wave backed up with some reverb.

If your synth uses wave modeling, you can get the sound by using its basic wave forms.

If you like to use a VSTi, again you have to choose a pure saw wave instead of its presets. As skyfisk mentioned, an earlier version was released by Alice Deejay in the late 90's, where you can hear the same instrument. The pure saw wave was somehow favoured in the 90's ("Kosmonova - Ayla", "Ayla - Ayla Part 2", "Interactive - Forever Young").

  • @FASSY524 i have the sound in FL studio :D search for the vsti z3ta and theres one sound called better of alone and it sounds like this one ;) hope it helps

  • its better off alone..literally

remix totally kills the song in general

  • Just play the original version from Alice Deejay instead

  • dance baby

  • Hmm, I really don't like this remix, i personally think this remix ruins parts of the song.
