what im telling is the truth from my point of view, that is not propaganda, i am one of those students you see in the video and i lived with the other medicos cubanos almost 2 months sharing the same crowded rooms waiting for them to be deployed to the katrina victims and they were denied to be able to help. .. i am no way saying cuba is paradise so dont put words in my mouth sr gomez .. i agree with you 100% that peoples freedoms are EXTREMELY limited and this . is what i dont like about the cuban government, having the chivatos(PNR) on every corner asking for id every goddamn second and not allowing cubans to mix with foreigners much, and their very little privacy or personal freedom, cant own anything, cant speak out against the government etc etc, i agree. . .but we are trying to change this and the US putting swine virus, bombing hotels, introducing dengue virus, basically terrorizing the cuban people which makes things worse not better

According to the UN, which the US is a member,Cuba is the 51st most developed country ok that still makes them a 3rd world country but that also means they are more developed than most Latin American countries such as Brazil or Mexico, more developed than some European countries such as Russia, more developed than oil countries like Saudi Arabia.
regarding Political prisoners: Cuba 200 "Political prisoners" all linked to US financed Groups (Remember the US tried to invade them and kill Castro)

Is this a joke? Cubans have been living in Katrina like conditions for 50 years, why would the richest country on earth need help from a totalitarian dictatorship in ruins. Most of these "poor" people from New Orleans own several cars, eat everyday and receive gov help. My family in Cuba is on the edge of survival on a daily basis. When they asked me for Katrina donations at work I went ahead and sent the money to my family instead.

What's not clear about Cuba's help offer? What's not clear about the fact that U.S. students from underprivileged backgrounds receive free (yes, modest, Cuba is not a rich country, but free) education provided by Cuba? Get over the defeat of your kins in 1959!

FREE?? WTF are you talking about? I still have blisters on my hands from working in the fields cutting grass as a child. My parents worked 50 for years for less than 15 dollars a month, everything else was taxes for the government. We also had to give up our freedoms and human rights in the process. There is nothing FREE except maybe the service useful idiots like yourself provide to the dictatorship of the Castro brothers.

Come on Art! Didn't you find out that Fidel doesn't send doctors to other countries just to "help", out of the kindness of his heart, but that he gets paid, very well, for each doctor serving a mission, while the doctors get but a fraction of that money? That makes them slaves by definition. Slaves. Is that fair, I ask you? Moreover, whatever little money those doctors make, is given to them upon returning to Cuba, to make sure thay won't defect. I read that Forbes magazine on Castro. Castro responded to that article and said he would resign from office in Cuba if Forbes could find any personal accounts or lavish expenses on is part. You don't have to pass the MCAT, but you do need certain schooling qualifications. Check the Latin America School of Medicine website for more details.
