You dont get fired after 36, you have to apply before your are 36. They do that so they can get at least 20 good years out of you. The reason for the age range is to eliminate inexperienced individuals from applying. They figure by the age of 23 applicants are a little more mature and have some type of eperience.

I am sure you don't have to worry, kindergarten kids can write English better than you can. Since the FBI has some reading and writing requirements, I think you can stop worrying, in fact, except for 7-11 or pumping gas, I really don't think any private industry will take you either.
