You bring up some great points! you can quote a person saying "evil is a point of view" a hundred times but you actually put it into perspective. I do not necessarily believe that the jedi are the "bad guys" or the sith to be good but the jedi have proved to be hypocrites and i can see how someone would believe this. Thanks for inspiring some thought, considering this applies to much more than an amazing movie franchise.

@Briselance Sith do care about power and only power, but it's what the power is used for that matters. The Sith Empire sought to destroy the Jedi because the Jedi commited genocide against them in the hyperspace war...or they seek power for a personal level, to bring justice to the Empire like Darth Vader and Darth Caedus did, or to save a loved one and keep people they cared about from death. Darth Vader wanted to save Padme and Darth Plagueis "Even keeped the ones he cared about from dying".

@Briselance Saving someone? Not really "Evil" is it? In Star Wars LORE(Not real life), the Jedi are hypocrites......simple as that. Check the Taris Padawan Massacre and how the Jeid manipulated and deceived and even wiped the memory of Darth Revan, using him to do their bidding to find the Star Maps to get to the Star Forge. But they were after the terrorist group known as the Rebel Alliance led by Leia....and it was Tarkin who blew up Aldeeran...Vader nor Sidious did it because it would be a "Waste of resources" but since Tarkin was in command of it, they didn't really have any interest in getting in the way, Darth Vader was suppose to watch Tarkin and kill him incase if he did something to make Sidious suspect treachery

The Jedi is not allowed humanity, in the philosophical sense, though supposedly his goal is to preserve it.

@Briselance The Jedi code is inherently evil, because it asks of it's followers that they be less than human, that they sacrifice in their own lives all of the aspects that make those lives worth living, to the point that the last line of their code becomes sad prophecy. There truly is no death for a Jedi, because before something can die, it must first live, and for the Jedi there is no life, only the Force.
