  • You are not the state. The state is comprised of individuals, yes, but you are not one of them. Throughout history, the major atrocities have been guided by individuals who wielded power through their people precisely because of this corrupting idea of the "community good". You are not Bush or Obama, you are not congress, they do not speak or act for your benefit. Your enemies are not the enemies of the state. You know your enemies. You can see them. You know exactly why they are your enemies.

  • None of you Americans are responsible for the great things your country has produced. None of you are guilty of the horrible atrocities your country has committed. Why are you so eager to accept false responsibility and false guilt? In your own lives, you can count the accomplishments which are specific to your own machinations. Don't attempt to identify yourself with a group, that's the precipice where one's own self esteem ends.

  • Nationalism is an acceptable form of racism. Their psychological roots are identical. People shouldn't define themselves by the countries they live in. We should no more have pride in our government than we should experience guilt due to the actions of our government. You may be Americans, but you are not America. This quest for the unearned validation of your own importance leads you to sanction atrocities that you would abhor if you were constituents of any other nation or "group'.

  • I'm all for peace and love...but this is a bunch of random pictures about america. next time use some more of ones like bush shaking peoples hands from other countries. dont just use america. I'm an american myself but you should use diversity in your video if youre going to talk about WORLD peace. not just american peace

  • @jazzbandit13 The song is specifically about America, in case you haven't listened to it.

  • make a new protest videos with pictures of obama and the footage of the US army killing civilians leaked by Wikileaks

  • Now that the cold war is finally truly over, we might begin a new era of peace, at least between the big powers of the world

  • a man convinced against his will, is of the same opinion still......

  • america hasn't done anything that's any more wrong than the atrocities of most other nations. and no it's not a justification that i'm trying to give you, it's a fact of life. you can't look at our country and expect us to be better when no one else is stepping to the plate. no one stepped in in rwanda, no one stepped in at armenia, or darfur for that matter. no one has a right to hate us without hating themselves first. we're no less perfect than any of you.

  • @ zinzer 235: QFT *nod*

  • @zinser235 Your problem is that you seem to consider yourself a part of the collective. Stop associating yourself with your governmental body and you won't be offended by the disdain of people around the world. Nobody hates you. Nobody knows you. You are an individual. You are not America. There is no "us".

The world is filled with individuals, and governments are only further empowered by this false sense of the group, the state, the -mob-.

  • I love how this harmony sounds. I wish I could find more music like this.. xD but until I do, this is absolutely beautiful.

  • America has done and is doing what every other nation in the world has done 100 times over..I.E. our early policies toward Indians, we adopted from the English treatment of the Irish..Thomas Pain left France because it's revolution was too violent..I'm not trying to justify the action, only cut short the hypocrisy of resentment towards us.

  • @MikeMcMikerson that is a gross exaggeration. and that surely sounds like a justification.

  • @thundaleg It's no exaggeration, it's a evolutionary truth, and there is no justification for war, so I won't give one..only an explanation for it..you don't have to like it, but take it into consideration.

  • @MikeMcMikerson its not simply truth it is a path we have taken. We can overcome our violent tendencies, even if they are ingrained in our history. There are as many examples of biological harmonies as there are of biological conflicts. Conflict will always exist, the question is can we deal with it so as to preserve our own existence?

  • @thundaleg there are examples of human harmony everywhere, if you look. Most optional paths are ones dealing with the individuals, and that's always the view of a citizen..those in power must consider the views of opposing citizens, other politicians, military commanders, corporations ect, boiling down to very little choice, but a collective choice for the benefit of the alpha males so to speak..& overpopulation will kill us long before war, that's a certainty.Btw, I like your argument.

  • @MikeMcMikerson hear hear!!! and if you don't like it, then go make some real changes in your own country instead of being judgmental assholes and blaming us for all your problems.

  • Only the dead have seen the end of war. -----Plato

  • Wars are about money and power. I get annoyed when Jewish people talk about the holocaust like it was more important than other deaths in other conflicts. They, like many others, were just in the wrong place, on the wrong side, at the wrong time.

  • trade a fiddle for a drum... ? a coat for what?

  • a country born in violence, will end in violence.

  • @schapman235 which one wasnt?

  • @jarightnour America was founded in violence when it revolted against british rule. so its only natural for a country to use violence to solves its problems.

  • @schapman235 i know that, but every country revolted against another countries rule, not just America.go hate another country

  • @jarightnour i don't hate America what made you think i hate America. i was using the America as example. as its revelent to this video.

  • @schapman235 maybe your comments below about America and the west causing anger and hatred

  • @jarightnour you jumped to concuslions to quick. i don't hate America they did alot things in the decades i disagree with and i think the world sees them as something of a bully. but if i hated America i wouldn't watch thier movies and music.

  • Comment removed

  • @jarightnour actually not every country. most have, but Brazil is a good example of a colony getting independance in a peaceful way

  • Its a shame to ridicule people for a lack of education - listen through the misspelling and you can hear an intelligent person......

  • Does any one else see the SAND NIGGER's burning the flag.....Makes me sick

  • @greenestbud yeah i see it andi understand the anger hatred that America and the west has caused for centries.

  • I just wanna know if the phrase 'trade the fiddle for the drum' is only used in this song or is it an actual common-used phrase. I'm a vocabulary fanatic and this is the first time I came across it.

  • @QWERTYqwertzE No, it's not common, she's the only one I've ever heard use it. Good metaphor though.

  • i love apc <3

    amazing... sad ._.

  • i like this song and am from the south so pelses don't be show igneous some one told me this a wile ago thank be fore you post a comment

  • wtf did you just say

  • my point proven ;) Only joking. Merry Christmas

  • wow lol "dont be show igneous". I love america.

  • Great song

  • what an idiot. It is a beautiful song and has a lot of meaning. Only an american from the south could not see the meaning in this

  • @gatchmaster oh we see the meaning cunt. But we say fuck it.

  • ^^^^^^ I know of at least ONE rubbish comment...

  • Hahah redneck

  • well war will end in 2 ways

    1. we will fight each other until we reach total destruction.

    2. we learn rise above instinct.

  • war and peace is a balance. good and evil. it's not pretty but it is a part of humanity. Just things are getting out sync these days. the last days

  • So what you are saying is if peace will ever come to the middle east then we will start fighting in America or Europe?

  • peace is never going to come the middle east.

  • Basically it´s easy: we humans don´t care enough about the lower and higher scales of our world.

Mostly we talk about othr people or ourselves - but not in the "medical" way. That´s why we do history, instead of observing nature on lower and higher scales.

  • My new favorite song <3

  • Only an ignorant buffoon would use the argument that we are animals and blame that and the rest of the ignorant history.

    Wake up sheeople.

There are plenty of us who seek enlightenment and disregard the tendency towards our ignorant past. Ya...well maybe that is where many of us live - in our ignorant, distructive past. NOT ME! Beauty of being a spiritual being of light within a human body is that I have choices!

I CHOOSE TO MOVE ON AND BEYOND THE LIMITATIONS OF IGNORANCE & OUR PAST.

  • now before you judge me because i am only 15 know that without war things like 9 11 would continue without hault. the things that our solders your family, friends. even spouses are out there dying for our right to live and know that in understand the fact that people needed to be herd and even though we did not like the way they did it the world still got there message. But like mike said its just instinct but without war there would be no order.

  • why wouldn't someone judge you. You don't know shit.

  • War and hostilities can be seen in every organism on this planet for..i dont know..Billions of years! Dinosaurs were extremely territorial creatures, almost every creature on this earth has developed a sense of boundaries and territory. and we have that very same instinct built into each and every one of us. It seems like the mixture of how well our brains have developed and this basic instinct is a lethal combination. Even a tamed lion in a zoo is prone to attack if it felt threatened.

  • Same principles, but on a wider scale apply

  • Yes, but we are capable of acting beyond our instinct, which is why warfare is inexcusable.

  • yeah ... but maybe with all our intelect we could rise above this.

  • @MikeMcMikerson I agree. In some ways though, we are the tamed lions in the cage. We think we're free. All our decisions are made for us, by those we choose to lead, as the lesser of evils. There is no leadership. There are only business decisions.

  • @MikeMcMikerson altho territory and conflict is the essence of bio organisms. War is a specifically human characteristic, and has only developed within the last 100 000 years or so. which is a blink in the eye of the earth.

  • @MCallaghan21 I agree..Like I stated, the development of our brains and our natural instinct can be lethal..war is a developed sense of instinct..it is both genius and barbaric rolled into one.

  • War only exists because we create it. You imply that we have no free will. No if the holders of power in our world didn't want war there would be no war.

  • @thundaleg Sometimes it's the people asking the leaders to declare war. and the leaders are representatives of the people. therefore, if the people want war, the leaders will very often declare war. Always remember that in many countries today, the people put the leaders in power. it all goes back to the people.

  • @MikeMcMikerson show me another organism with hate groups like the KKK, and political prisoners, and I'll be more inclined to believe your argument.

  • @TaylorTempesta Well of course organisms don't have the development of our brains, as I stated,..Like I said, the combination of our advancement and the basic instinct of aggression make a lethal combo..Our advanced brains gave us the ability to make life taking technology and life saving technology, both of which are based on aggression or compassion..basic instinctual emotions that most Multi-celled mammals have..

  • war is not engraved in our nature. The capability to be agressive is though, but thats not the same thing. Theres many known primitive tribes that do not engage in any form of war. As far as i know, there is however not a single civilasation known to man today, that has not been engaged in war. So maybe a possible conclusion is that war is "engraved" in to the modern, western, civilisation tracing back its roots 7000 years to the first agricultural societies?

  • Possibly but CONFLICT is engraved I should have specified more clearly. And warfare does not mean battles and weapons. It can me as much verbal. Conflict is one of our basest instincts. There always has and always will be conflict, the need to be superior or have some form of control over ourselves or others, and the need to establish dominance or become an "Alpha" in society.

War is to an extent, needed because without an evil to contrast against people cannot yearn for the good in themselves

  • War is something that cannot be helped. it is engraved in our nature just as much as our need for food, for life. It is one of our basest instincts and there will always be some form of fighting, of war.

War on this scale will only stop when people acknowledge that we are different. That there is no right or wrong answer to life or faith. We need to swallow our pride and look into the eyes of someone different then ourselves and admit difference. I support troops fighting for peace, not wars.

  • Well said. Truly.

  • I'm also a U.S. Soldier currently deployed to Iraq. This song is very meaningful to me-I listen to it every morning as I put on my uniform and lace up my boots.

  • CODYPIXZ .. First, THANK you for your service. You must understand something. We live in AMERICA. We can protest ANYTHING! Just because someone protests a 'war' does NOT mean he/she protests the soldiers!! I believe that war is NOT meant for business. I believe that soldiers from our country should be used to protect our freedoms. This occupation is not protecting our freedoms. We could still EASILY be attacked by anyone who wanted to. It's time to leave there. We've done what we can.

  • ok you people come on here protesting against the war we are in right now and I truly don't understand why it boggles me it really does I recently joined the army I'm in a non combative MOS but yet it's one of the most dangerous I'm an 88m a truck driver I deliver cargo and transport troops and you are saying we shouldn't be fighting against these people who hide bombs on the side of the road to which I am completely defenseless against look up IEDs and watch that maybe it will change your mind

  • "to which I am completely defenseless against"

Isn't that bomb the defense from "them" against "you"? You guys are the invaders over there. Noone asked you to go there. It was all based on a goddamn lie.

Why did you join the army? For the "cause"?

Here's a newsflash for ya buddy: The "cause" is a freakin lie! It's building the Angelo/American Empire, the New word Order, and you're a freakin pawn in it!

You have been sold a lie. Accept that fact and correct your mistake of buying it. Desert.

  • agree, the argument that u should fight them because the place bombs on the roads is backwards... u cant go to a country, start a war and then say that the war is right because they are being hostile back. Im quite sure its nothing personal agianst u, "ouh, lets put a bomb so that defenseless codypixz dies even though hes just driving the car"

  • a truly amazing piece of music, and one of the better covers i've heard

  • brilliant video. the pictures perfectly impersonate the lyrics of the song. simply amazing. and a great cover from APC.

  • as long as there are butchers there will be war

  • no... as long as there are people there will be war

  • no... as long as there is division between people, there will be war.

Once humanity truely realises that we are indeed all one and that there is other life out there in the universe, war might become a thing of the past on this planet.

But until then, beautifull music like this sure helps to make life a bit easier ;)

  • well said my friend

  • I prefer Joni's version because I think her's is stronger and I like the empowerment in her voice. But...A Perfect Circle didn't do an awful job, I like how they used a different style to harmonize their vocals, it adds a nice twist to the tune. :)

  • Note there are no pictures of post 9/11 terrorist attacks. Peace would be nice.....but as long as there are fucktards.......there will be war.

  • you cant stamp out evil entirely, i think the point of the song/video is not to say become completely passive and isolationist, but rather promote a non-interventionist viewpoint. the wars in iraq and afpakistan are utterly without cause. these nations have not declared war on us or attacked us. most of the 9/11 hijackers were saudi's, you know, the country our presidents go to when they want to grovel before a king who happens to stand for everything we should stand against as americans.

  • Its the state of things in the human condition. Death is part of the trade as a species and we write it off with trite "mainstream" propagandist" hosre shitte like Depok Choppra. Its the anger of genertations. Man is a demon that feeds on itself for its own vanity. Its the status quo. What we are. What we think. One step away from a monkey bashing another for a mango. Its embarassing. The age of reason was a fugue of drug induced pontiffication. Animal we are and animal we shall remain.

  • @BritishBulldog1968 Vicarious...

  • thank god we have the UN . . .

  • lol

  • i like this song more :P.....no i LOVE this version. can't stop listening to it

  • There will never ever be peace. Except the fact that America will brutally demolish any enemy that gets in our path. Now with this Nazi in office, who will give America to the enemy... we will become the enemy.

  • Doubt it. Every Empire falls. Persia, Greece, Rome, Holy Roman, Spanish, British, and eventually US. My bets are on India or China taking control within the next century.

  • Nazi!? wtf where you get this nonsense, i assume your redneck

  • Hes somewhat right ' You might want to do some research before you make a personal attack on someones post .

    Baaaa sheep

  • okay i take back the redneck part, but i still want you explain where you get that from its totally bs

  • This song was originally written for Canada but I like the way A Perfect Circle has adapted it to The United States Of America.

  • No it was written by a Canadian for the US.

  • It was originally sung by a Canadian that lives in America. They changed nothing but vocal harmonies. It's sad to say the song applies today as much as it did then. I fear for my land of liberty. She is so violent.

  • Yes, Joni Mtchell is a Canadian, but she also lives in Canada, on the Sunshine Coast, the western part of British Columbia. Near Sechelt, BC.

  • hmm. the video of her singing this song shows her saying that she's living here. either way, same message :)

  • as you can see from the other video of her singing, she orginnally sang this song in the 70's ish.. so, back then, she did live in the states, but currently, she lives back in Canada.

  • Hey, that's pretty damn good :)

  • Funny thing about conspiracies these days is, there is no need for the theories. Conspiracy theorists said that bankers run countries, and in the last year we've seen it. Golden boy Obama has changed his mind on most things. Bombing Pakistan weekly, moving troops from Iraq to Afghanistan. CHANGE (of location)

  • i thoguth the band tool sang this o.o

  • same singer from tool...he is in perfect circle aswell

  • Its the lead singer, just different band

  • 0:48 pisses me off!

  • why?

  • thats the idea. make you a fucking anger person. they do an amazing job on that.

play some videogame. there you can blow people away and its just a game!

  • That is racism surely!!!

  • How ?

  • This was three week's ago, i can't actually remember why i said that. I think it was over burning the American flag

  • Well, I love it.

  • they should have played this at the president elections...

  • you're completely right, but the video isn't literally saying we should end war, i think some of us at least know the current political situation, but i don't think its anything desperate to say lets stop the propaganda, who cares its a video with a good song, its not a problem 1) its out of our hands by now and 2) despite the pictures no one is going to gather and protest in loads, the people aren't as willing as they were back in the 70's most people have the i-don't-want-any-trouble-mind-set.

  • Another unfortunate victim of the propaganda war machine...soon we will all know the truth

  • Another victim of isolation from reality, probably reclusive in a room lit dimly by the computer. SOON YOU WILL KNOW that something is desperately wrong with the conspiracy theorists.

  • It's ok, I understand your hesitation to accept the truth, they have done a good job. Reading between the lines can be a lot of work cant it, so go, continue being a "useful" member of society. Go back to sleep with rest of the dullards, cling to your false sense of contentment and uh...pray for me to soon come out of this horrible state of isolation, i haven't seen light for so long now, woe is me!

  • Hey guys I love you.

  • While we listen to a song that wants us to come together peace, we all come here and leave comments of arguement. we call each other idiots and ignorant-- can't we all realise that by doing this to one another, we have sunk down to those who argue against us? instead of attempt to convince one another who to blame, can't we discuss the great things in this world like life and love?

please, everyone, i beg of you all to stop this arguing. If we keep fighting like this, our children will pay.

  • @crockettjvinson xD Peace, Love, Understanding.

  • i like this songg its nicee

  • And BTW, Joni Mitchell wrote this many years ago, as a Canadian living in the USA, about the Vietnam war. It is not a recent composition.

  • why are you humans fighting :[

  • u r 1 of us.dont b so aragent

  • What's sad is the fact that the US presidential elections aren't just a big thing for the US, but for the world as well. Somehow we have to put our trust in Americans to make the right choice, not for just their own country, but for the rest of the world. And it seems hard to do so, especially as Bush was voted in again! But now we have Obama, and hopefully he won't screw us over as much as Bush did :) Thanks for maikng the better choice, we hope it will be the same next time round.

  • yes that is so true yet now its china who is becoming the real super power. so i think soon things will change

  • You don't know any frikin' thing about music.

  • I guess its because im a motivation, lets kick ass, kind of guy, not some fag sitting in a cozy armchair with a security blanket, who likes to read books and listen to music like this?

I dont care about the "message" of the song, i care about how kickass and motivational it sounds, the music(as in the instruments), not the "sad singing" stuff

no offense meant, we just have different tastes

  • That's obvious. ;-)

  • well spike A. you're an idiot. B. you could never come up with a song as good as this. C. are you even in one branch of the military if you're such a kick ass kind of guy? D. im not for war nor violence but when those actions are needed im for it, such as fighting the terrorists. im joinin the marine corps this jan. what are YOU doing to help anything? until then SHUT THE FUCK UP!

  • if u don't like maynard's voice ur not fucking human he has the best voice ever. PERIOD! no one can beat him. I like NIN better but maynard is just a better singer than anyone. So you can just go to hell you music hating bastard.

  • Good Lord why do all you people have to analyse and rage and debate and pick apart a hidden meaning on every single video??!!

Can't you just appreciate that it's amazing music and enjoy it, and let it wash over you, instead of searching for encryptions in the lyrics? fear the beating of the drums of the dissenters of YouTube, more like...

  • FrankeeGee evidently all that reading has left you as ignorant as the folks who raised you. Just because all those things have been going on since the dawn of time doesnt mean that they arent spiralling out of control in modern society. The gap between the rich and the poor in the US has surpassed that of ancient feudal China. Go bury your head back in the sand and let the progressives save our asses from the mistakes of capitalism.

  • i love how everyone has a different view on what this song means, i think it was meant to have a few different meanings

  • This song was actually written by Joni Mitchell (canadian) about the change in american foreign policy during the Vietnam war... "Fiddle" meaning the old ways, and "drum" meaning the new, militaristic ways. You know, like the war drums used in wars of past cultures... "We all" indicates the other nations of the world, as if they're pleading to america to return to diplomacy... I don't think it was ever about christianity...

  • Bullshit. Your government was based and founded off a set of Puritans and Christians. Look at the Salem witch trials. They based everything off of the bible. Ben Franklin, John Hancock, all of the founding fathers, founded this place based off Christianity. That doesn't mean they didn't believe in Freedom, it means they themselves founded it off THEIR OWN BELIEFS!

Do your research before posting about something you don't understand.

  • You may want to do that yourself--A fair amount of our founding fathers were atheists--But because of freedom of religion set down by Thomas Jefferson, Christianity blossomed even more because of the overwhelming interest in it by the majority.

  • lmfao..u kinda got him there..nice

  • It was somewhat redundant

  • This song has nothing to do with christianity, or religion for that matter. To try to say that it somehow does is to corrupt and set aside the true meaning of the song.

Fiddle and the Drum examines how a person struggles to understand how a society that once seemed so just and righteous has now seemingly turned itself inside out. A country that believed in the power of the people is now prosecuting and going against the will of it's own.

"We have all come, to fear the beating of your drum"

  • i agree with u below me but if bush had a brain he would have done something about this country and iraq

  • he has a brain ever think he wanted all this fucked up shit 2 happen

  • What the fuck are you talking about?

Bush never wanted this to happen. How would it look for the president to have this happen while in office. People would hate them for a long ass time. He had nothing to do with this.

  • america is not the enemy....however, "rednecks"

and or neo cons and evangelicals

who have no interest in a global or human perspective or scientific education have hi-jacked this nation and therefor it is doing things around the world that are perceived by the rest of the world as evil and or retarded

  • so christians are the enemy ??

im a christian a REAL christian

and im against war because jesus would be against it 2 be christian is 2 try ur best 2 think and live the way christ did and jesus was about forgivness and salvation not war for money and oppresion

dont blame christians for wat this worlds become blame complacent people who dont ask questions and fallow the GOVERMENT with blind faith instead of the lord and despite wat u think they arent the same thing

  • Keep religion out of the government.

It would work better that way, i didn't say anything about what types of religion.

so don't put words in my mouth.

It doesn't work for iraq, its not going to work for anyone else.

separation of church and state is what i THOUGHT we had...

  • religion is out of the goverment this goverment does not make its decisions made on religious beliefs not the christian religion MAYBE some satanic cult masking themselves as christian leaders but trust me if u really knew wat jesus was about u wouldnt be confusising the people who hi jacked this country with true christians

  • Where the fuck do you live, because it can't be in America?

The government was founded off a christianic based society, meaning the government has always based things off it.

Not only that, but they are trying to ban homosexual marriage, are they not? Because it's against god. So shut up and learn what your saying.

  • That is not true. Our government was NOT based on Christian society. Our government was founded on the principles of freedom to choose, believe, and liberty for ALL....the people are supposed to make the governement do its duty. The case with today is that the government is making people do what the governement wants them to do. And any dissent is silenced and beaten to submission. Homosexual marriage has nothing to do with the foundation of our country. Christian citizens elect christian lead

  • not true. based on freedom of religion, and a strict separation of CHURCH and STATE.

  • Do you think jesus would take the time to type correctly?

Be a better sheep, and follow your god as best you can...yes, that means you'll have to take the time to type the word "two" every now and then.

  • two or to

i use the number 2 in place of both those words actually

but nah i dont jesus would sweat the small stuff bro thats wat dick heads do man not layed back peace lovers like MY savior

  • Well if you believe in free thiking I think it's a bit hypocritical to slam somebody because they have religious beliefs. Are you an atheist ?

  • I dislike the implication that America is the enemy in this video. Although I disagree with many things we have done, I do beleive our principals are correct. Unfortunately a great nation must do everything it can to protect itself while generating business and keeping the economy somewhat moving in the right direction. Finally, for those of you who bash your country, please feel free to flee any time and I'd be happy to support you with a 1 way ticket to a lesser nation.

  • Baseball?

  • There is not a single race, religion or nationality that hasn't committed some unjust act of violence. Not saying it's ok, but don't bash America. Everyone screws up. Germany, Russia, France, Africa, Cuba, Haiti, Columbia, Mexico. Actually I'm pretty sure Canada is the quietest place to live. Yeah were spoiled and uncultured (supposedly) definitely spoiled, but were a young Nation. Gives us a frigging break. Some of us really care.

Oh and I LOVE this song. Great harmony.

  • US may be a young nation, but it is the most powerful nation in the world, therefor the US should not be given a break. If its not going to take reponsibility, dont accept it!!

  • haha

"why don't usa take oil from georgia?"

answer: theres no muslims to blame on

usa sux ;) enviroment sux and why dont fix it?

answer: they're too lazy and just want oreo coockies and thouth they are the best

  • Eloquent.

  • And let me point out that most U.S. citizens are opposed to the war and have been for years. But if our government decides something there's not a lot we can do except protest and wait for the next round of voting.

  • america did try to fix the environment and you know what happened it got worse the world was doing great befor the human race decided to tamper with it and try to "fix" it when mother nature would fix everything in a much better way but now it has taken a turn for the worse and the world is pissed at us because we threw the balance of nature out of whack and destroyed the simplicity that kept the world spinning and look what we have now a weather system that is steadily taking a turn for DOOM!!

  • you should really get your facts right. America is trying to trade in oil for alternative fuel sources. We are actually the top producer of ethanol in the world, along with leading by example in using alternative resources like solar, wind, and bio fuels. Instead of saying how america is destroying the world, first ask yourself what have you done? America has made alot of mistakes and just now, AFTER 30 YEARS, we are finally addressing the real problems. This next 10 years will prove you wrong.

  • yeah America may be the top producer of ethanol but we are also the top producer of pollution and the government does little to stop it and i do my part i recycle everything i can and every time anyone really tries to forcibly fix the environment like America has done in the past it gets worse and there is no way the human race will stop polluting and yeah i never said anything about America destroying the world America has just made everything more complicated to keep alive

  • nice! and yeah i can see that. We can only hope it all turns around and the democratic party sticks to its plans. Dont lose hope ^__^

  • yeah the democrats will most likely help out more than the republicans do all bush is interested in is finishing what his dad started and to make his daddy happy

  • to true. The one thing im fearful of is if the democrats dont deliver, would that shatter the hope of americans? This probably wont happen but think of it this way, what if there's a war which america cant talk its way out of and we go back to the way we were. The one thing i really cant wait for is the alternative fuel promise in 10 years, thats something i actually really want to see happen in america. ^_^

  • I thought China had worse pollution. And I would think pollution has been a problem since Industrilization. And according to Encarta most of England was deforested by 1350. Politics have always been screwed. People have always been violent. Even biblically, Cane killed Abel. The great thing about the internet is that you can check your facts before you write out your argument.

  • I'm not talking about our government I'm talking about our people. And by give us a break I mean get to know us before you put us all in the same category. We have a lot of intelligent, philanthropic people and ideas to offer the world. But I've actually been talking to a lot of people that don't fall for the generic crap so many spew about us.

  • thats not true the jains out of india are extremely nonviolent, they actually don't eat any food that doesn't naturally fall from the vine/tree and they are vegans. they won't even walk on grass...a little hope in a world that is very violent.

but omg i completely agree with you on the song its amazing!

  • cheaayya canada!

  • the fact that germany was so strong and hard to defeat in ww2 means that a majority of the people knew exactly what hitler was doing and when they got it they liked it too its a pitty to say that they didn't knew what was going on in ww2
