Callas's career is too short. If she didn't sing Wagnerian role, I think we have best record. But this is enough for her to be best singer of all time.
A couple of things: her trills were tighter and faster back then, particularly in that thrilling (and rather silly) upward descent at the end of "caro nome"...AND her high E was better than her high Eb, which I think is really interesting.
thank you! I had wondered about my rigoletto - i downloaded my copy through itunes, most of the tracks were mislabeled, and caro nome wasn't even on it! i'm still trying to track down a reliable copy.

There's a small error about Rigoletto, at 5:24 it's not: " Ah! veglia, o donna " from the 1st act, but " Bella figlia dell' amor" in the last act!
