  • You double jump... Your not supposeto double jump. You will end up hurting yurself if yu do. Trust me been there, done that!

  • you make it so simple, THANKS! (:

  • thanks to you my neck is broken !

  • @Babycoco22 Cause you bailed. Otherwise you wouldn't have...

  • @PurePhinaticTricker shuuudup!

  • @Babycoco22 Hahahaha <3

  • that really helped me alot! I've been taking private lessons with my coach and last week my tucks were all messed up I would arch my back and through my head and I had another private tonight and they were insanely drastically better!! ever since I watched your video my set is correct I jump straight up and just get it now! thanks so much(:

  • that was a really good set :o

  • Heyy! I have a video of my round off back tuck. and i was wondering if you could check it out and tell me what im doing wrong and what i should do to make it better!

    Thanks!

  • you do a bit of a double bounce at the beginning but your tuck is still huge! you got springs in your legs, lol

I got a tuck tutorial too, you might want to check it out to fix the double bounce...

  • you aernt supposed to jump before it!

  • @lovetosingandcheer1 Before which part?

  • @EdgePKC You do a double jump before the tuck. I think thats what lovetosingandcheer1 means.

  • @EdgePKC like for a back handspring, you're not supposed to jump and then do the bhs. same for a back tuck...i think. but i jump anyways.

  • @EdgePKC before atcually going into the back tuck, you are doing a pre-jump which supposedly takes away from your power & height.:)

  • this actually helped!!!!

  • thanks you helped me to overcome my fear of back flips and wall flips now i can do both

  • Good tips there. Now, what about flexibility training tips in order to prepare for a standing back tuck?

  • @ws6transam84

Flexibility comes with a lot of time and practice. You should stretch before and after work outs and it should have a dull pain to it because you are stretching out your muscle, tendons, ect... For this I would advise on quads, legs, hips, back, and some core stretched. Hope that answers your question

  • faggot

  • @senara17

Congrats on the random big boy word. I hope you feel big and mature now go get your cookies

  • @senara17 u have got some big issues to work out, go use that lame shit on someone else, random anyway, and by the way noone laughed at that

  • so you dont do it like you would oon a trampoline or diving board?

  • @benferguson888

Tramps and Driving Boards their are different forms for them. When you do a back tuck on the ground you need to maximize your height using correct form.

  • wow, i wish i went as high as you.

  • Honestly, I could already land standing backtucks, but I tried stalling my flip the way iv'e seen nijasixsixsix do his stalls and I got it once. Surprisingly, the landing was very cushioned for being on dirt and bare foot. The flip itself felt awkward because I actually felt the full end of the tuck and could see ahead before untucking. Most of the time I can land and see only after I'm close to touching ground.

  • i still fail :( i fail at the landing...when i land...i either fall on my hands and knees or land n fall forward on my knees...any idea what im doing wrong?

  • you're not folding very well

  • no coz i recorded myslef...i dont think im pulling hard enough coz my rotation is slow!

  • @slogstar1 whats probably happening is your opening the tuck too late, not giving you enough time to get back to your feet, be careful though, you dont want to open to early ans land on your head..

  • mm i dno....i pause the vid when i land n it looks like id b standing but then u play and i go down with it once my feet touch? its hard to explain what happens but yer?

  • maybe when your landing your chest is forward? is your body aligned straight when you land?

  • you r awesum!! thnx so much this helped a lot!

  • u guys are so awesome

  • thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • u look like a dork

  • Yeah with a broken wrist and my hair that i didn't cut for awhile... I'd agree with you on that one my good sir.

  • yer he does XD

  • um i just want to say you dont want to throw your head back you want to set high, pull your hips up to your chest then, grab you legs and flip yourself over

  • you body follows your head dumbass !!

  • What is the heaviest guy you have seen doing a standing back tuck? On ground not springed floor. Im just curious.

  • Not kidding you when i say this but over 300 lbs. And yes on ground.

  • Wow that would be insane to watch. He must have some rotation and height.

I asked because ive never met someone bigger then me to do one. I weigh like 200-210.

  • Yeah that was crazy. But he told us when he was younger he did gymnastics. So i bet that helped some.

  • Nice & simple tutorial, good job. :)

And btw, to those who care--if the technique is done decently (or excellently!), and the person throwing the flip is in decent enough shape... it really won't matter whether you are 100 lbs. or 350 lbs.!

A good example (albeit an extreme one) would be Sammo Hung... best known as one of Jackie Chan's awesome associates in films like Dragons Forever.

Big guy. Pliable as hell. Large man--fast as a cat. Rotund. AGILE! :D

  • euh...c'est pas un tuto ça...c'est pas fait en qqe secondes

  • Comment removed

  • that made no sence

  • Wow that was high! short and sweet

  • When i do a backtuck, i put my hands on the back of my thighs, not my knees like you do, will i get deductions in my gymnastics routine if i put my hands on the back of my thighs or does it matter?

  • Some deductions are based on your skill level. If you are unsure about this ask the judges or your coach.

  • how do i grab my knees??

my hands go all over the place and my tuck looks like shit lol

how do i get more height??

  • To grab your knees... Just simply grab them. There's no trick to it.

As for height, it's all about jumping all the way before you tuck and not whipping your head back but rather keep it nuetral until you tuck.

  • one time i tried this and just when i tucked I farted and when I heard it I stopped tucking and landed flat on my chest.

    Good times!

  • Lol it happens to the best of us, and if someone hears it just say you ripped your underwear ;-)

  • i am in tears histerical laughing at this, that sounds sooooo funny!!!!!!

  • hahaha lol n icee man lol

  • one time when i tryed this i was in mid tuck and i freaked then shot out my legs and painted the ground with my face it was great haha

  • no ur double jumpin like ur jumping once then ur goin into ur backtuck u jus go for it DANGGGGGG

  • Ohhhhh hahaha i was gonna say.

  • my coach tells me never to jump

  • Never to jump?!? Are they trying to teach you whip backs?

  • when it jump and tuck nothing happends i have watched lots of videos but nothings help i dont want spotters yet

  • Then learn the feel on a tramp first. I would advise for a spot if you want it more quick. If not back flip off semi-high objects, and work your way down. Also learn a round-off back tuck.

  • okay so maybe your not starting off right.try jumping w/ nees bent then going into the jump str8 then try going up then back.

  • you help soooooo much! thanks!

  • do u go to this place evry saturday for open gym?

  • No not every Saturdays, but we have a class on Fridays. Check it out we are up there at 4:30 every friday, and the first time is free. So please come check it out.

  • good stuff!
