  • @armanyoo

    >2012

    >Still calling people newfags

  • playing this with a rain video, is actually quite good.

  • Is it just me or does he have a pause at the end of each and every bar?!

  • @evileye178 its meant to be like that

  • From Chile huh?? Nothing even compared to what Chopin himself wrote. Arrau and Chopin would wake up from their graves and say .. " no son no!!, not like that!! feel the music!!" I have played this prelude 1x times. Good try though. Chileno soy tb!!

  • @TheChilenopolaca shut the fuck up you pretentious newfag. what do you about music i bet the only instrument you know how to play is your own dick

  • Wow, nice timing. Didn't expect to find something that sounds like I played it.

  • beautifully dark

  • This guy plays this song really well, sloop many people play it way too fast and ruin it

  • I've played all the halos and nor heard this song... But I did hear it in The Face Off movie

  • Thumbs up if Big-O brought you here!!

  • Eternal Sonata

  • Reach sucks, bring back the good old days.

  • The version from the "Believe" ad is featured in the movie "Margin Call", in the scene where Kevin Spacey is in his office late at night. The camera slowly moves to the left showing the entire floor, and then moves into the office where Kevin Spacey is laying in his chair. Throughout the whole sequence the song plays.

  • id love it if you could reupload this in better quality. one can wish...

  • Thumbs up if Halo 3 brought you here!

  • just cant stop listening this prelude...

  • Believe

  • This piece of music is crying out for lyrics. Even if they're only half-formed and in the back of your head, it sorta works when you play it. Thanks Chopin:-)

  • Nicest piece ever - it's so fabulous. All of you are right.

  • Believe

  • And think that some people die without enjoying these beautiful pieces...

  • Believe.

  • like this if you do music gcse

  • Extended writing question in todays GCSE exam was on this :)

  • @TheWoWRevelation I did grace haha but that music exam was so much better than i thought was it not? :)

  • @toddyvedda yeah much easier, i mean it was the first time they did this so it was expected :)

  • I love dubstep.

  • I love this guy!!

  • i guess you could say the b section leads up to more than one ff climax

  • He is not even looking at the piano!

And he has the audacity to pleasure himself on camera?!

he is not a porn star

    what is he doing?

  • I don't care who you are, he gets WAY too into his music.

  • la gota de agua, cae obsesiva en la tierra

    la acaricia y son uno

  • I actually shed a tear to this... Music NEVER makes me cry...

  • Amo esta pieza, es preciosa...

  • HAHAHAHA, he looks like he's jizzing in his pants when he slams his hands on the keyboard. That's the funniest fucking shit ever.

Two hundred and thirty four thousend, eight people have viewed this video because he hit an orgasm by pressing his delicate and feminine hands down on the notes just right and 10 people dont like seeing a man jizz/shat himself over a marvelous note melody pressing and need to get their knobs out of a twist!

    WHAT a tweest.

  • GCSE Music FTW!

  • believe 117

  • halo.3 BELIEVE this song makes me cry

  • Believe.

  • 3:48 Piano keys too hot? Or just feeling the music? :P

  • Hey! Mr. Data has learnt to play. ;-)

  • Still feels incredibly modern and relevant...

Probably will be the same in another millenia.

  • when was this piece of music composed?

  • came for the chopin. stayed for the surreal video game argument.

  • believe

  • Am I the only one that thinks of Halo when I hear this piece....?

  • The sheet music I'm using is C for tempo... as in steady... and it clearly says up top Sostenuto... sustained... so this is played correctly in this video imo...

  • für Reinhold Arndt - Konzertpianist * 18. Feb. 1918 + 3. Mrz. 2011

  • Best interpretation I´ve ever listened to

Tempo, Feeling ... everything sounds perfect and right

    BEST PART: 2:10 - 4:20

  • brilliant

  • i think this piece fits the halo ad bungie put it in

  • I first heard this song in the video game "Eternal Sonata" which is a Japanese role playing game about Frederic Chopin. That game introduced me to his music and I am so glad I found out about his wonderful gift.

  • I love this piece but seeing as I am doing it for music GCSE ... it puts me off -_-

  • @x3abzkebabzx3 mate, i am too, so i thought i'd better learn it aswell :P

  • This is the music kids should be raised on. Not Taylor Swift, Lil Wayne, Justin Bieber, Ke$ha, Britney Spears, Hannah Montana, or other of today's "greatest" "musicians".

  • Where would this piece be commonly played?

  • Doing this for GCSE music, i like the peice but after listening to it over 50 times and making insanely detailsed notes, it kinda loses its edge!!

  • beautiful setting & playing!

  • EARGASM!

  • Dude, can you guys stop relating Chopin to Halo? The halo company just want to make more money by playing this on its freaken commercial. If you actually play in the piece, Chopin is more than just that. I hate when greedy game planners use those poor guys like Chopin to make money.

Send me a friend request if you agree with me.

  • @AnqingX What's ur gamertag :P ?

  • @AnqingX They thought that this piece, thematically, fit the mood of the commercial they were trying to air. Nothing wrong with that; I think it worked quite well. Nothing to do with greed.

Hell, if anything, we should give them kudos for such fantastic taste in music.

  • @AnqingX

I'd be happy a video game like Halo brought people to listen to good music like this. Perhaps without Halo, they'd never have the experience.

I never heard The Fool on the Hill by the Beatles until I saw the movie Dinner for Schmucks. I love the song now.

  • @AnqingX Or you know... it could just introduce an entire generation of young people to wonderful music, meaning "poor guys like Chopin" continue to be forever imortalized.

  • Lol one of the tags is halo 3

  • i like this piece, doin it for music GCSE,

  • my funeral music, hands down

  • Wow, what a powerful ending... I think I might like to have this played at my funeral. the ending just gives me such a sense of peace and calm, like everything is beautiful after all.

  • wow ive just noticed that ive come this far, im playing pieces that professional piano players are playing! who know i would be here at age 16!

  • @RAWRitsME33 Ooh! Keep goin' little bud! Make it work for you! Just don't let your success overcome your wits. ;-)

  • If you can play piano, learn this piece. If you are ever pissed off or need to chill just play it to yourself and it all goes.

Love playing this. Frederic Chopin you genius

  • Next week he is gonna play in Santiago de Chile. Can´t wait.!

  • Comment removed

  • better than lady gaga or those stupid celebrity

  • I too prefer the tempo to be slower and I think this one is just perfect. This is probably my favorite Chopin of all time. Not too often do you find someone who plays it in this fashion. Thank you for sharing!

  • Finally, I've found it. The music that was in Halo 3's commercial. ;3

  • Orgasm coming at 3:48

  • @Chineserijstwafel *eargasm =P

  • Does anyone know where to get this version of the recording? I found one, but it is rather odd, at 2:26 rather than go lower, it takes it up an octave too early ruining the mood this piece sets up.

  • Perfect !

  • I want to die listening to this piece of music.

  • unique melodies....

  • i insist that the best version is martha argerich's. she playe dit with the exact tempo, wher eit is supposed to be light and where the tragedy takes over. It's simply perfect, but I couldnt locate it here in youtube-

  • bravo man,.... bravo

  • Utter perfection: the more I hear performances of the the master's work, the more I realize just how much nuance a player can bring to it. Perl's playing has so much strength, so much sensitivity, so much awareness of what is going on in the music, that it lifts the music into the stratosphere....I'm a fan now, for life, and will search out more of Perl's performances of Chopin...

  • Finish the fight.

  • @BreaktheChainsofFate 1st book titled John 1:7 " He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all men might believe." NIV

  • @BreaktheChainsofFate The "believe" scripture. My advice: read the bible a bit more. It helps calm me down when I'm confused or stressed.

  • @newindianajones1 I don't read the Bible, I play games.

  • @BreaktheChainsofFate Fair enough.

  • A+! Best version i have found by far. I feel the music speaking to me, sharing with me it's emotions as the waves of soft and loud both caress and crash over my soul. This is how this song is meant to be. It's 'felt' more than it is 'played'.

  • this song is perfect for a video that shows so much sorrow then at the end there is hope like in the halo 3 commercial "believe" it is featured in. amazing, beautiful and perfect tempo.

  • Halo 3 :'(

  • i realy dont like this song the bass part sounds like its all out of time, the melody sounds good tho

  • I think this is my favorite tempo.....

Thanks for all the info on this Prelude.

  • wasn't this song used in a halo 3 trailer?

  • @TheDailyRiderShow

A section of it, yes. ;)

  • @S1l3ntV1p3r okay thanks that's what i thought :D

  • It started raining at the same time I started this song. The effect was excellent.

  • This is beautiful. I'm learning it right now and I'll definitely be playing it at this tempo.

  • I received this link. Never heard the piece before. Makes me want to play. Simply inspiring.

  • This is how it's meant to be played... With soul and heart, not just notes.

  • EUREKA ! What a wonderful interpretation !!! BRAVO !!!

The raindrop akustically persistent throughout the piece,

    without making it sound monotonous.

That is exactly the way I was taught to play it many moons ago.

    Danke Fraeulein Frauscher !

  • i posted a vid response, its the story of how this prelude was created. i made it, so it's not that good. But this piece is AWESOME MAN

  • epic composition 2:51 's build up is largely nice

  • Thank you very much for that extended quote from George Sand! When did she write it, and where?

  • Brings tears to my eyes. What a beautiful piece of music =')

  • Good to play on rainy days :P

    Yupp...tis awesome!! :D

  • Very good shot.A video comparative to the music.

  • One of my favorite performance I ever hear. Thank you for posting .

  • I love this piece! But I have problems. Tis so hard to play so quiet D:

  • Exelente interpretación.

    ahhhhh Chopin... genio

no tengo palabras para describir lo grandiosa de tu música.

  • Great interpretation. Maybe I will make an attempt at this piece, its very beautiful.

  • I like his interpretion a lot. My favorite is still the version from Horowitz but this one is close to how I would play this piece myself (I'm learning it at the moment).

  • This is one of the best interpretations I've heard.

  • Wow...I can remember actually playing this song. And every time someone sees the sheet music, they ask me, "you can play this!? I wouldn't even know how to start!"

    I feel so smart.

  • wow i have never heard this piece at this tempo.. i believe this is how Romantic pieces should be played.. to think about it.. it sounds (very vaguely) like classical era piece.. reading the description it makes sense.. i can "feel Beethoven" in this piece.. such an interesting interpretation.

  • Just amazing.

    I belive, this is1337!!

  • such a beautiful piece. brings me close to tears.

  • i'm with khamir.. this is possibly the best rendering of this beautiful song that i've heard on youtube.

  • I like the tempo, the setting, the lighting, the cinematography, the pianist's style, the music, oh and the composer is pretty cool too [kidding]. Very nice--I think this one is my favorite version....so far. I'm bookmarking it just in case.

  • @khamir49 And he's Chilean.

  • what? i just said that its a beautiful and inspiring piece and beautifuly played. why thumb me down?

  • Apparently praise of the song does not outweigh the insult to Halo/Halo people. Guess you aren't allowed to suggest that something might be...older than them...? Huh... ;)

Beautiful interpretation. One of my favorite Chopin pieces.

  • yeah dude, cant go against em.

  • goddammit what the hell is wrong with you halo ppl. i'm a halo guy myself but this beautiful piece came out waaaaaaaaay before the ad or you for that matter... if i'm not wrong it came out in the 19th century right? but whatever, beautifly played. 6/5 *****

  • 1839 i belive

  • i belive !!

  • nicht ganz sauber gespielt aber ich mag das stück sehr.

  • Studyng this piece as part of my GCSE. Fell in love with it.

  • I prefer this piece to be played at a slower tempo like in this video. If you look up a lot of other videos, it is played a good bit faster on most of them. It just isn't the same to me.

Makes me want to learn how to play the piano...

  • @shadowsguise

Then learn!!!! it's never too late. :)

  • @shadowsguise it's never too late to start to learn the piano... of course it won't be easy but you'll enjoy it if you practice regularly and get passed the first cumbersome1-2 years..

  • @shadowsguise couldn't agree more, its the exact same sitiuation in audio recordings as well.

  • @shadowsguise maybe, but in the time in which this was composed, it would have been played much faster!

  • @shadowsguise just enjoy the music and dont make gay comments

  • If you listen with your eyes closed, and just think...think about a cause you believe in or maybe just let the music hit you...I swear if your eyes don't water up, better start thinking about who you are and what you do...

  • I knew more of this EXCELENT compositor with the videogame "Eternal Sonata" that tells him latest hours of life and too much. Chopin composed Raindrop in my country Spain, exactly in Mallorca in a hotel. "Eternal Sonata" makes me love this compositor.

  • That game made me love him aswell :D

  • it's composer...

However yes, there will never be another Chopin. The classical romantic athmospehere in this world is almost gone.

  • as of now i am 25 years of age.. the only reason i bought an electronic piano with weighted keys is because of Chopin. :s

  • its my fav iget to play on the piano all the time

  • Beautiful! I like Chopin!

  • this is my favorite Chopin prelude, its so beautiful.

  • excellently performed though I do prefere Horowitz

  • beautiful, wonderful and... chilean!

  • I fell in love with this piece as soon as I saw the Believe ad. I just needed to hear the full version. I personally thought it was the perfect music for the Halo ad.

Chopin did a good job on this.

  • Belive

  • Believe.

  • After months of heavy thinking I believe this to be the closest to how I hear this in my head. This piece has a special meaning for me as it's the piece that inspired me to become a composer. Thank you so much Chopin for this beautiful treasure, I hope to someday write something as wonderful in honor of you.

  • that is really excellent. I have a similar story with Chopin's music. When I was really young, my parents would play Vladmir Ashkenazy's recording of all of Chopin's Nocturnes during dinner and after dinner. Those works of Chopin alone gave me and began my love for music.

  • Nice tempo. Well played.

  • I LOVE the middle!

    So dark & beautiful.

  • Peaceful/Violent at near end.

  • just like a storm, at first its peaceful but then it gets worse and violent in the middle but then peaceful again at the end

  • yes at the same time

  • What piano level is this song?

  • My teacher gave me this to learn, but i didnt continue my studies for about 2 years, now im playing it and dont know what level it is.

  • id put it at medium

  • it's a grade 9 piece
