I am sure that next week you'll be fine.anyway a common mistake is to separate them when they are playing.now that a week has passed dont be bothered in separating them, they'll know when they are hurting each other adn they'll stop. :)
mhh I don't seperate them, my old cat goes where it wants and it does what it wants, it's a male cat...and so is the young one too...they do what they want...that's why I love them xD
lol, I actually have the same situation, my old cat is frightned of the new little cat...they are male, both...but my old kitty is agressive against the little...I am allways anxious...
how long do you have your little cat yet? Are they nice with each other now? How long did it take?
Its about 2 weeks now.I can tell you at the beginning they did not like each other at all, now they are fine...I can tell you that its mostly a matter of time.But it also depends on the sex and sterilization of the old cat off course.(i study vet!if you got question i'll see what i can do)

Mhh...well my new cat is here since last week, Saturday.
And it is better...well my old cat often is in my room but not all the time...it's getting better :)
