I always make sure if the ending is sad or happy because i don't like good animes that end sadly. :(

@XxxXSkyfireXxxX the ending is both happy and sad to me, because toya and aya have a baby, but toya knows he will die soon.

the main thing about the ending is that it's happy. overall, though, this story is very sad and at points, scary as heck.

This is one of the most tragic manga-anime I ever know. Mai-HiME is another tragic anime, but has happy end, but this.....this is TOO tragic. I ALWAYS cry when Chidori and Aki died T^T Poor Aya, she struggles a lot and fate made her go mad, just like Yui from Fushigi Yuugi.....

Tooya is more like Nakago: calm, don't talk much, joined along with the bad side, fate made him to be "bad", tragic past. This is more like Seiryuu in different style. Aya is more like Yui. If you really pay attention to Yui, she's actually a fun-loving, cheerful, friendly and silly, but has calm and mature side. Ceres is like Soi, Aki is Amiboshi, but Yuuhi is Tasuki-like.

Japanese people seem to be fascinated with western culture that sometimes their characters are made to have variety of haircolors besides black and brown. Alot of japanese girls dye their hair crazy colors like some americans do. Cartoony,no? They like to imitate a bit of western culture.
