  • BAMF.

  • @carolinainfidel

Uh, do you know how many people lie on YouTube? Until you provide sufficient evidence, there is no reason to believe you...

And, to set the record straight, you are being pompous, without being specific.

  • @carolinainfidel

& RHCP are cliche (not terrible) radio-pop without John. Have you noticed that? And, this is without a doubt the most disorganized/chaotic song in his entire catalogue; listen further before you draw up such a drastic conclusion. His work varies immensly from the lo-fi stuff on Niandra/T-Shirt and Smile, to the electronica-based Sphere in the Heart of Silence, to such traditional innovations as Curtains, Will to Death, Inside of Emptiness, and The Empyrean.

  • @carolinainfidel I have a job, I pay taxes, I'm not an activist, you're still a douche.

  • Honestly I can't feel offended cause I am neither black nor able to hear what the fuck he is saying.

  • Lyrics: Crawled into my window breath Suck a cock and I'll be These will be, without staying the money One loves me Zero begins it The one dream, everyones in it Memories become me Alone is the thing that lingers I've been wait, run with me Miss one moment, got a million love (?) Have you one odd stray cord near (?) One matter without him (?) Whether with him to be (?) [screaming] Nigger song [x5] Feel higher, feeling high and we Feel higher, feel higher, feeling high and we
  • @carolinainfidel i think you underestimate him nowadays. He was merely expressing what he felt which was what this song is, fucked up. Who would like it? Alll i can hope for is that you listen to californication and later with a new perspective, including his solo stuff which is some pretty sounding stuff

  • @carolinainfidel Look up "avant-garde", since your "credentials" surely have left you in the dark about what music can be. I don't believe you, and no-one here believes you are anything but a sack of shit trying to pretend you are someone. You haven't shared any details because you are no one. Even if you claimed to be someone, no one would believe you. He had every right to call you out on that. You are a fool. I am done talking to you.

  • 1:30 FLY NYAN CAT

  • @carolinainfidel would it be possible to hear an educated opinion on why he is 100% shit? I honestly care since criticism from an knowledgeable source is hard to come by... norwood fisher is one of my fav bassist (im a bassist... flea is my main influence) so i envy touring with fishbone, did you record anything with them? also don't fight vulgarity with vulgarity man, stay classy

que the shitstorm against me :/

  • I dont like this one. Thank god hes off heroin.

  • Ahahaha your a stupid hating bitch! XD STFU & GTFO

  • @carolinainfidel. Shut the fuck up. Get the fuck out no one cares you toured with fish bone or smashing pumpkins ahaha sorry ass bitch your no one trying to be a someone it's probably the reason your so mad and when you hear music like this and can't understand why it's so famous it's probably because it's original and not skanki and played out like your anal. Stupid fucking bitch xD your fucking stupid bitch ahahah

  • @fatherlyon you should care he toured with those bands, especially fishbone (listen closely to good time boys a fishbone clip is in there :) your pointless ramble only fuels your ego. get a life, get off the computer and try to be happy with yourself

  • @drhizzlshizzl

Just because Fishbone is a cool band doesn't mean this guy does anything more than fill out the sound for a few tour dates, and that's operating under the doubtful assumption that he's not lying. Also, there are many street musicians who are as (or often more) talented than most formally 'educated' or 'successful' musicians. It doesn't matter, none of them could legitimately consider John Frusciante a bad guitarist. The fact is, he's just not.

  • its sad to listen to this stuff. its almost like he was possesed by a demon instead of just being strung out on heroin, even though that is all it was.

  • @carolinainfidel God. You are really pompous. Give us your name, or come to terms with your ego. Even if you are who you say you are, it's kind of pathetic and tacky to throw out credentials like that. Get a life...

  • @carolinainfidel you're a douche.

  • @carolinainfidel I don't think I've ever said the word "rad" in my life. What's your name? I'm going to Google you so I can learn all of the RAD music you listen to. In the meantime, you should listen to the Empyrean

  • @carolinainfidel go listen to the Empyrean, or Shadows Collide With People. go watch the thousands of guitar solos of his on youtube or read the interviews with the other rhcp members that say that he contributed a SHIT ton to the band. i'm sorry the rest of us don't know "good" music because we don't watch MTV music videos in the morning. suck a dick, forreal.

  • I personally cant understand anything he's saying....BUT to each his OWN....

  • @carolinainfidel

so you think song to sing when i'm lonely is talentless and terrible? and what about central? or have you not even heard those songs?

  • @carolinainfidel are you fucking serious? talentless? you are obviously completely deaf and/or blind. this man is a musical genius and a guitaring hero.

  • Are we all really trying to figure out why an artist has artistically represented themselves? Its a fucking word. Its John Frusciante. Stoned fellow he was.

  • To all the people that are fighting in the comments, chill ! not everyone's going to like everything they hear, but if you're going to spread negativeness in videos you don't like, I'd rather you stopped watching and put something you like instead of saying mean things about music that some of us really like, respect and admire.

  • Shit this is scary and demonic I am glad that john got off drugs . This is freaky has hell

  • @22AgentBauer369 are you high? bc to me this sound very graceful in a strange way

  • i have the answer : you cant insert any other words where he says Nigger song.. it just wont sound right.. try it...

im black - I think the song has good and emotional bits

  • this is ugly and beautiful at the same time

  • 2:52 - today

  • @tybearxxxvi the only reason you hate john is probs coz ur mum tasted his junkie cum and then he never called her back coz he got sober and realised she was a ugly crazy bitch and also a man and now ur pissed off coz u will never be the man ur mum is, so hows abouts u stop abusing john frusciante and get a life if u dont like this video or this music then dont watch and go fuck urself

  • superyoda and timmeh are both bitches that want to believe John is more talented than he actually is because they want to taste his junkie cum. John Frusciante is only worth a shit as a member of the chili peppers. I'd place John in the top 5 guitarist of at least the past forty years but his solo shit is GARBAGE

  • @tybearxxxvii Sadly I agree with you. The rhcp are my favorite band and playing with them I love John Frusciante's contribution so much, but if it wasn't for him being John Frusciante, I highly doubt the amount of people would like this that do now. I just don't see how this is worth praising without trying to connect this with the red hot chili peppers.

  • @tybearxxxvii john frusciante is an awesome singer, this album was meant for heroin money, but if you listen to shadows collide with people where he was trying to play perfectly and he actually sings to the best of his ability u will realise that he is good and he has more variety in pitch than anthony so fuck off, and stadium arcadium sucked because he had moved on as a musician and wasnt going for the funk sound anymore if hed stayed they just would have gotten worse, fucking retard

  • @tybearxxxvii Go fuck yourself, retarded bitch.

  • @tybearxxxvii And who are you, big piece of shit, to judge him?

  • @tybearxxxvii No fuck YOU you little bastard. you're like 90% of the people who listen to music which means: You listen to whatevers on the radio and as soon as something goes out of the ordinary you feel threatened.

  • I'm black and I'm not mad about the racial slur I'm mad that the song sucks.

  • John Frusciante is an artist and words are one of his tools, its no different to using any other word with heavy connotation like 'nazi' or 'love' or 'fuck' an artist and their work are separate things, saying he's racist its like saying anyone who paints a picture of jesus's crucifixion is a satanist.

  • He's using the term nigger with empathy in this, not out of racism ffs, I've long maintained that you don't have to be black to be a nigger, if you're approaching that word in the derogatory sense of the lowest of the low, then that's not race exclusive.

  • "Nigg-ers" was the ones on the rope, hanging off the thing.

"Nigg-as" is the ones with gold ropes, hanging out at clubs.

  • just cause it has nigger in the title doesnt mean hes racist. i mean cmon really who hasnt said that word

  • I'M BLACK

  • @GreenGoat420 BLACK POWER!!!!

  • come on offended people hes working with RZA and one of his best friends is chris rock

  • that scream is crazy at 2:06

  • I haven't bothered reading past a few of the comments here, because i knew they would be about racism, not about music, or the fact that John Frusciante was neck deep in a heroin addiction while making this album.

The title of this song has little to do with the song except the chorus. In a number of interviews, John admits that his he wrote lyrics simply on what sounded good rhythmically and sonically , not on meaning. The songs meaning is only what you want it to be based on its energy.

  • this is funny song :)

  • the tags say..... frusciante john nigger

  • even if ur intentions are good & ur using da word nigger as da dictionary states it, its still completely fucked up. its hurtful fucked up & just plain "ignorant" & that's what u should b saying; ignorant not nigger!! its childish and so trashy n low class to be saying that to anyone in any intentions or reason. now saying "nigga" is okay, i call my good friends my nigga's, i say it to black or white. and black pple have said if you say nigga its cool but nigger is asking to get knocked out!

  • @Obey414 The dictionary doesn't state the word 'nigger' as 'completely fucked up'.

  • @superandom Why dont you go re-read my comment... n call ya self a dumbass :) "even if your intentions are good and u use nigger as the dictionary states it, IT IS STILL FUCKED UP" then i say " Its hurtful, fucked up, and just plain "IGNORANT" & THATS WHAT YOU SHOULD BE SAYING; IGNORANT NOT NIGGER!" lmao how do u miss the first 3 lines of my comment & then try to reply back saying i dont know the definition of nigger?? Your a nigger for saying that reply to me :)))

  • @Obey414 Don't call him a nigger, you just condradicted yourself. C'mon, your point was already 99% made. Seriously, man...

  • i call his singing style, "shlepping"

  • lol at the top comments. A patronizing speech justifying Johns perceived racism sophisticatedly and then

"that guy is just trippin fuckin balls"

  • this song fuckin sucks it brings shame to his music

  • @sheptropremix haha good one!!!!

  • @cribtv seriously though, the vocals are garbage the quality sucks. I knew john just thought these songs were shit, but knew it was profitable for some amount of money. whatever john is a legend, one of the greatest guitarists of this millenium

  • @sheptropremix im just gonna put this out there...the point of music is to get a greater feeling of emotion through sound waves. and if this is what one felt through these emotions...then it is music at its greatest.

  • @sheptropremix vocals garbage?! you got to take either some music classes or just dont comment on music you dont get or if you are making those usual ironic jokes just mark them with some stylistic stuff like a smilie thx

  • @checkoutniandra or maybe you got to respect other peoples opinions.. i got the right to express whether i like or hate a song on any youtube video

  • @sheptropremix you got that right but at the same time you have there a responsibility. nobody on this planet wants to make stupid comments by purpose, right?! just bullying around? the vocals suck?! i mean are you even trying to be serious here? and he made this for the money??? geez, do you have opposite-day where you live or just donkey-day? i can show you off here in every way, stupidness is not something to hold on to. open up yourself. dont twist your own words like they would make sense!

  • @checkoutniandra He DID do this for the money to support his habit, he admitted it himself later on, he did so much smack and coke thru the 7 years that even his Bloodsugarsexmagik royalty cheques could'nt support his habit for the duration and that album was multi-million selling. As much as this song and it's album has value as dark art, just for the record his voice does suck here...

  • @Soundgardener80 yeah right, that is probably why in interviews he admits of putting this album out due to friends who told him he should publish it "because there is no good music out there". yeah just twist everything around and make it sound right to you. as for the voice... he just reaches out to the right frequencies, the texture is tremendous, the altered state of his voice sounds awesome. but of course if you just want to see some kind of druggie whining than you probably just see that

  • @checkoutniandra John is a complex guy so who knows there's probably truth to both claims re his reason for releasing it, and I respect your opinion about his voice reaching certain vibrational frequencies of pain and darkness, but you must understand why some people would think his voice is plain crap here because on a purely technical musical level it is, but yeah, there's three sides to every story, one persons, the other persons, and the truth

  • @Soundgardener80 i am where the truth lies. dont want to sound to self-arrogant here :`D but well iam just too sure. just think of people saying "time tonight" is a sad bad whiner song or "central" is spiritual bullcrap. wouldn't that get you mad? it surely gets me. exactly that is like you guys talking this song bad. many things in music are just plainly aesthetics. if you ask people whats their fav song on bssm. 95% would say either i could have lied, under the bridge or give it away.

  • @Soundgardener80 but however i have respect of people telling themselves: this is strong and difficult stuff and i dont even want to try all that hard to get this. because it surely is. or saying this is not the person i want to look up to. he messed his life up. i mean he kind of is here like a marty for beauty, dont know if that is a good or bad thing myself but it feels very heroic. but on a total different page is then the writing of hateful comments about things that you dont understand.

  • @checkoutniandra I've always loved John he's the most unique and special guy in music. The last thing I intented to be was hateful, just blunt

  • @Soundgardener80 well erase hateful and take close minded... yep makes more sense. sorry.

  • @checkoutniandra wtf?? Didn't you even read my comment? Your just trying to wind me up, this conversation is over.

  • Comment removed

  • @Soundgardener80 and those drugs and all that, that is just a really sad thing but it is just like a total different story. he might have published this also due to the fact that he could raise money to support his habit. but when he recorded these astonishing tracks he thought about trying to be the greatest artist and getting the biggest effort and sounding voicewise the best matching to his instruments. if you dont see that you are blind.

  • @checkoutniandra It's everywhere around the net that the main reason he released this album was for drug money. I'm not making stupid comments at all when i'm stating my own personal opinion... so stfu

  • @sheptropremix you must be deaf

  • I think John's music is brilliant. We are all on this video sharing our emotions about the song, the song name and him as a musician which is brilliant. This is art, not a pop song squished out a mould for the masses to listen to.

  • This song has the "N" word in it!

    I'm tellin mom!

  • the other day i was tripping balls and i was listening to this song and i started singing along and i felt all the power of this song, the emotion, the pleasure of listening to john frusciante

i love john frusciante he is such a perfect musician

whatever he does its amazing and so meaningful

  • i love a good ol' nigga niggy nig fest

  • i love a good ol' nigga niggy nig fest

  • @grUngEroX1993 last time i checked, crack doesnt open your mind...even tho john was doin hella coke and h, he still was an open minded person

  • This album marks his heroin era.

  • John wasn't at a good place at this time

  • @Doubleaabatterycru

why not? its all life experience.

  • @grUngEroX1993 I find you funny lolololololololololololol

  • NIGGGGGGGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

  • @grUngEroX1993 What? NIGGER? You just said it your self its a "word" dont take it serious.

  • thanks butchlester... the screaming part is so sick with the sound cranked

  • @grUngEroX1993

You're right. Lynch that nigger John Frusciante! Everyone knows Italians are half-niggers! Ask Dennis Hopper!

  • I think it's funny how people are freaking out about a name of a song. If you really liked John's music then you would understand It's his music and him expressing him self. I think this is a wonderful song.

  • haha to the people that disliked this song because of the title, OPEN YOUR MIND

  • Some one know the meaning of "Have you one odd stray cord near"? It's the part when he scream at 1:45

  • because its funny

  • DONT DO FUCKING DRUGS!

  • ...

  • drugs are bad

  • I like his heroin phase... Now you cant help but hear his fake teeth every time he sings

  • I dont understand. Im such a big fan of John Frusciante, but I have never respected this album as a whole.

  • good.... im glad ive reminded him

  • nigger song and eggs

  • Wow!!! How much smack did he shoot up when he recorded this song???!!?!?!! Holy shit!

  • @tgoswitz he did not shoot up at all when he was writing this. he were just smoking pot.

  • @Quapuzi look at the video of life's a bath.. it'll show you otherwise

  • @Quapuzi ohh yea i that footage you have when you lived next door. His brain is fried mate!!

  • i wonder, will i be considered racist if ill cover this song?

    cuz its fuckin awesome.

(and the lyrics arent replacable unfortunately)

  • alright people. this stuff is VERY OLD. john frusciante TODAY is regarded as one of the best musicians of the last 30 years and actually has been one to collaborate with ANYBODY. I mean, the dude was high on heroin taping this. everybody says, or at least thinks the n-word, and usually just in a joking fashion. tho i understand its not funny most of the time. watch this video - RZA Inspired By Joh Frusciante . and tell me these dudes are racist. frusciante for life!! big hero

  • personally i like this. Not because I want to brag about how "pure" and "hardcore" i am for listening to this, it's just because I like it. I totally understand why people think this is shit though

  • cant believe john frusciante did this. i hope its not really titled the nigger song. fuckin let down. big let down.

  • @jkkdf44 well it is called nigger song and what the fuck does it matter nigger?

  • you fucking kidding me? He's no Bob forrester. How can this unearthly sludge be considered a song of any sort???

  • Yeah, I heard about this album being the mad ramblings of a junkie on the verge of death...yet so many reviewers look favorably to this? They claim this is revolutionary and the like. This is just a really high guy with a microphone and a guitar. It would be the same thing as me rubbing a microphone across my ass as I'm taking a shit and clamping my balls in a vice and calling it music. I don't get it.

  • @AnthraxBomb13 There's a fine line between wrong and visionary, of course you would have to be a visionary to see it...

  • i love how pretentious people are when it comes to defending ANYTHING that comes from an admired person.. if you claim to think this is good, i'd like to take this time to acknowledge just how "artsy and sophisticated" i think you are... happy?

  • @Wonderbread101 I actually like this song though and think it is reallly good?

  • NIGGER NIGGER NIGGER NIGGER!!!!!!!

if frusciante used it, black folks should be honored. i think he's the least racist guy on the fucka HUNIVERSE!!!!

  • I'm black, I don't know Frusciante personally but no way is he fuckin racist. Look to Charybdys comment.

  • wow, this is some weird shit, must say I've never heard anything like it, sounds like someone who's hurting really bad from heroine. as for the racist debate, he's surely not trying to be racist, he's just fucked up, spewing out words, I know I've done it before on psychedelics, and can only imagine the twisted state this guy is in, just listen to him...no white person should use the N-word unless they were raised side by side in the hood with a black brother who considers it acceptable

  • i think on drugs you have very different accociations with words and their meanings, i wouldnt interpret this so much

personally i like this song very much, especially the first part till 1 min or so, beautiful

  • its racist to say that only a black person could say nigger. but who cares

  • sounds like the shit i used to record on my tape recorder back in the day

  • I don't like how everyone's discussing simply the racial slur in the title.

Bare in mind what was going through JF's mind at the time. I highly doubt he was under the influence of anything like Jedi Mind Tricks or Dr Dre. I'm pretty sure he was much more under the influence of heroine. I use albums like "Nianda Lades..." to remind me never to get into drugs, or mix with anyone involved with them. Frusciante's music got so good after "Shadows Collide..." and this is was a different time for JF.

  • This is one of his many songs that i picture him inside this orb of his own world. Kinda like in that movie, the Fountain, if you havent seen that then you should, its pretty hard to get at first but its amazing anyway FRUSCIANTE RULES

  • Mr. Frusciante Recorded This Stuff On A 4 Track Back In 94 Or 95 I Think...I Did An Article On It...I Still Don't Know What The Lyrics Are But In My Opiniated Guess, I Think He Calls It That For 2 Reasons...1: For Shock Value And Two: It's The Worst Song On The Album. Anthony, Flea & John Are All Very Kool With "Black" People. Even "Blacky" Keidis, Anthony's Dad Is Kool With "Blacks".

  • im black and nigger is just another word if someone calls me a nigger it dosent bother me

  • @MrRianisawesome101 true dat nigga

  • @MrRianisawesome101 Evolution has begun! :)

  • When I hear this stuff I wonder how did he manage to get his mind right. He was so fucked up I can't believe he still can think and talk normally

  • I feel dumb asking why he may have named this song "nigger song," because his lyrics seems to carry a lot of deeper meaning with them, and i don't want to take them too literally. still, I can't help but wonder. does anyone think they know?

  • is rascism a hole cover?

  • He even addmitted that this album was solely released for drug money. It may not be the most technically beautiful, so what?

Stop slating him. He took this off sale in 1997, because he didnt like. Nobody likes snide comments.

  • that guy is just trippin his fuckin balls to another univers

  • @k0stil

    you fail

  • saying that word doesnt make him racist..its just really offensive... ive seen a few pics of him sarounded by black friends, im sure you cant be that ignorant after meeting the ppl he has...

  • Are you really that dumb? Words can be used to ironically add a sense of endearment. Black people call each other "nigga" all the time. If we are all human, why is it okay for blacks to use "nigga" or "nigger" in an endearing context (this being the key, fucking word children) and white people are automatically racist? It has nothing to do with race and everything to do with a sense of inferiority. All people need to quit being lazy and use their critical thinking skills to determine context.

  • True true

  • @Charybdys we say it because we dont mean it in a bad way when dumb stupid ass white say it that when we get mad and beat the fuck out of yall

  • @Charybdys Some black people call themself nigger;only the ones with a Jim Crow slave mind.

  • @Charybdys yeah but you still wouldnt call a black guy 'nigger'. and that's just it.

  • @Charybdys With racial slurs, which "nigger" is, the only contexts that are acceptable are ones in which someone is discussing the word as a word or its meaning. Regardless of whether some blacks think its acceptable to throw the word around, its history does not change. This, in addition to the double standard you mentioned, is why people(black, white, yellow, tan) need to stop saying it, and all other racial slurs, all together.

  • @Charybdys <---you nailed it first sentence - they really are that dumb

  • @Charybdys I'm black and i couldn't agree I'm a massive Frusciante and also I think he has made a song with RZA out of wu-tang clan.

  • @jamafrican657 yes he made George Harrison song while my guitar gently weeps, its one of most beautiful George song..he made it with George son Dhani

  • @jamafrican657

So you're saying because he knows a black man he's not racist?

  • @Charybdys

YA WELL WUT IF I SAID IF U SAI DAT WURD U GOIN 2 HEL??????

  • @GrizCC words don't make you go to hell nigger

  • @DAEDREKWARRIOR lol good fucking point, frusciante forever

  • @GrizCC

Nah ah, 'cause God and Satan are both fat, white, Southern, good 'ol boys. Yeehah!

  • @Charybdys

    O DAS IGNANT

  • @Charybdys agreed man.

  • Agreeing.

  • Not really...

  • it is quite evident why john plays backup vocals haha.

even after being strung out beyond control, why would he name this song what it is after so many black influences?

  • johns a better singer than anthony kiedis, check out him nowdays...

  • @Rockafellaton John is not a better singer than AK, they're really different. You can't compare.

  • yeah, you can.

when they perform live, john doens't sing out of key.

anthony sings more out of key then in.

  • This is a good song but recorded appallingly (on purpose) and with vocals performed in quite a strange way. The pig squealing is just a bit weird though.

  • he brings in a dying dolphin for 1:30

  • LMAO

  • @saggysack23

    hahaha

  • hhhhhahaha great :)

  • Comment removed

  • he was way too wrapped up in celebrity and his expectation to paint his arms. he is a great musician and a genious in other ways; but a casualty to fame nonetheless, what happened as a result were some beautifully creative things which verge on the pointless and are definantly insane but some great things came from that. i dont dig his painting though.
