I went with 16 inch apes on mine and a 3 inch riser setup, the drag bars were killing my back on a five hour ride, plus my arms go numb a lot so the apes helped with that.
Changed my bars to apes this summer. Best money I ever spent. Took me a while to find apes that match the front end, Klock Werks Perfecta bars are perfect for the Fatbob. The width at the bottom is same as the front end of the bike. Perfect rise and pullback, 1.25 thick. I will never go back to drag bars, these are much more comfortable.

Everybody buys the least expensive set up from V&H.Short Sots in Black. They all look the fucking same.If you don't don't drink the HD,V&H Kool-Aid during the purchasing process, you will see how many options there really are.Cookie cutter crap.
At least you put mini-apes on there. That is a different and good look on that bike.Maybe some 14s or 16s?But keep them 1.25 or 1.50.That front end is beefy and bad ass.Check out the black line from Samson.Switch it up.
...or you can just make the bike in whatever way to make it YOUR OWN. Do whatever you like, and if you're cool with what you did, then your bike is cool. That said, I think apes on an FXDF is awesome. It resembles the Zombie bike in GTA IV.
well, i thought about that but this bikes front forks are big and beefy. i liked the look of the fat bars with those forks. they of course also hide the wires.
It was all done at the dealer. The bars are fat bars so the risers had to be changed also. The throttle cables, clutch cable and front brake lines are teflon coated diamondback. Parts and labor about $700.00
It looks sweet though, Have you got any pics or vids from the front view with the bars. I am really thinking of changing mine now. You got me sold on them..
I had to change the throttle cables, clutch cable and brake cable. The bike has a real nice feel to it this way. It seems to fit everybody that has sat on it so far. It was expensive to do, that's the only draw back.

Yeah, everyone that sits on my fat bob with the mini apes really likes how comfortable it is. Not one complaint yet.
