You get the I/O error do to bad DVD+R DL media. You need to use Verbatim DVD+R DL disks. You will NEVER get errors with these DVD's. The Verbatim DVD's are pricey but are worth every penny. And iXtreme's web site may have the answer for ripping XGD3 games if you haven't stumble a video on it already. Here's the link just in case you and other YouTubers are having issues with these new Xbox 360 games. Google search for iXtreme Burner Max Official Tutorial from Team Xecutor. Follow the info.
IMGburn asks me if I want to use truncate, but it doesn't come up with the error after that saying that it exceeds the space :/ I've tried everything and I cannot get any burn to work -.-

@hj03y425 First off, don't panic. second, download 7zip or preferably WinRAR. Right-click the first of the 84 files and select "Extract here" or "Extract [folder]". Resume panic, pirate newb.

@eraldorh Well Yeah, of course I know what the .dvd file is for. Do you? The .dvd file OVERWRITES the calculate optimal setting. The reason that you should set it to calculate optimal is because if you don't you receive another error telling you that a .dvd file is about to overwrite your manual layerbreak settings. I suppose that without an iHAS burner you could omit the .dvd file altogether but I like to tell ppl to use it just to help minimize the errors that appear on screen :)
I did everything as mentioned using verbatims for mw3. My first attempt didn't have an error at 97% it burned the entire disc. Why is that? I had to truncate it also before the burn.
@nuggetflazer if you click truncate ImgBurn works out how much data to cut off the end. It then turns the new value (of 7.9GB instead of 8.15GB) into percentage, the percentage you see on screen is the percentage of the data that is being burned and as 7.9GB fits onto the disk it goes all the way to 100%. I have a newer video of how to do this with the new version of ImgBurn (the one that prompts about Truncate).
@NewEraCapWorld aww you have the play game >> black screen >> dashboard loop. I haven't managed to figure our why it happens. I got it once with the new DBZ game but I just opened and closed the tray and it worked. I used to have to do the open/close tray thing with an older xbox with a failing laser, maybe our lasers are getting old and weak. XGD3 games are stressful on the laser so maybe XGD3 games won't work properly with a weak laser :S
@LGReynoldsVG1 abgx only has a few XGD3 titles in the database and abgx developers say that they are only there for internal testing reasons. They might (MIGHT, i don't really know) not patch XGD3 games properly, they are still in the experimental stage. So just burn without running it through abgx (it probably will tell you it's not an xbox game if you try anyway lol). if it's a proper 0800 rip then it's already classed as 'patched' and fine to play :D
@Atheieye I was going to make a video of the exact steps to do it for you but I just realized that I only have 3 disks left and I already have 2 burned copies of Skyrim. Don't want a 3rd and to waste a disk lol My DVDs are standard size (they say that they are 8 something gig but that's an average calculation, not quite accurate, it is for CDs but as the disks got bigger they never changed the calculation to more accurately reflect the size.
You can burn skyrim onto a normal sized DVD+R DL (I believe -R can also work if your drive can booktype it to DVD-ROM but I suggest just getting +R disks and save the hassle). This video is using the old version of ImgBurn. if you watch the vid there will be a pop up to take you to the new version. Use that video and copy the steps in it using your downloaded copy of Skyrim and it will burn and play :D
@saehalovesbilly the 8.5 is not exact, it's an approximation. when the approximation was started to be used it really made no difference because the sizes that were being calculated were much smaller than they are today. as the sizes measured got larger so did the difference between actual space and calculated space. And so when the dvd says 8.5 GB (approximated) it really means 7.9 (actual space). the calculation uses 1000 bytes per kilobyte actual value is 1024 bytes :)
@knockdoun depends on the disk and burner combination really. On my laptop burner I can burn games at 6x speed with no problems, on my linux server I can burn at 8x but on my desktop PC with an iHAS burner I need to use 2.4x otherwise the games won't verify... some still install on the console tho so if you don't care about making your games "live safe" then burn as fast as you can. 2.4 is usually recommended as has the highest success rate across all burners.

Hi, i have a question i got my xbox flashed in like 20 days ago, he didnt tell me if it was lt 2.0 or 1.91 i burned a xgd3 game followed every instruction but when i play it in my xbox it says play game after that it comes a black screen and goes back to the dashboard so my question is was it just a bad rip or do i have lt 1.91 ?? btw i have benQ drive PLZZ ANSWER ME

@GameWizism probably 1.9 but this is happening to people with 2.0 as well. I can't figure out what is causing it, only managed to make it happen to one of my consoles once and that console has a weak laser... maybe that could be what is up. or like you said it could be a bad burn :s
@reibako if you have a .dvd file with your iso that you download then ImgBurn tries to use that. It will tell you if the dvd file tries to change the layerbreak and you have one set in ImgBurn. Just set ImgBurn layerbreak to "calculate optimal" and burn games using the dvd file that comes with them.

@Djbiosound you DO NOT NEED to buy a special lite-on IHAS124/224/324/424/524/624 burner and flash it with the new PC-MAX firmware to burn these games. That is only required for 1 game at the moment: Forza 4. In the future it is expected that all games will need the new burner but currently there are no games (other than Forza 4) that do CIV checks on the end of the disk. Games burned the way in the video are currently 'live safe' as they pass all current dash and live checks

@reibako this is proving to be really common. I thought I knew what it was, a burner-media combo issue but now I'm not too sure... I'm not gona recommend anything to you although I wish I could give you a firm answer but as of yet I haven't had this issue happen to me or anyone I know so I don't know how to fix it. I would say it's a bad rip of the game or a bad burn but that's as far as I can narrow it down until it happens to me. Sorry :'(

@Ph0be abgx won't recognise it. abgx has not yeb been updated to understand that it's an XGD3 game. Only XGD3 game that abgx know about is XGD3 Reach, and you can't even play that online anymore so it's not worth verifying really. Need to wait until abgx database is updated before you can stealth/verify XGD3 games.
@Headhunter0880 do you mean to install it to hard drive after burning? like the way you install a original game? if that's what you mean then yes after you burn the game you can install and play from HDD but you still require having the disk inside the drive otherwise you can't start the game.
@Headhunter0880 that happens sometimes. It has happened to a friend of mine with batman: arkham city - failed to install after being on 99% for about 20 seconds. he just burned it again and it looks like it's just a burning issue, the very (Very very) last few pieces of data from the game partition are missing. I believe (just me, no real science behind why) that his disk was just slightly under the quality par: not all disks in a batch are the same. Try a reburn if you haven't already
@Headhunter0880 he made that firmware for 1 game specifically. FORZA 4. it has a new Content Integrity Verification test (CIV) that checks to see if the last 3% of the data is present. Burning like this (which btw is the method C4E stated as the correct method when he released LT+2.0 and before the Forza issue) causes the last 1-3% of the data to be missing, it's not needed for the game but if checked shows you have a pirate disk. other games will have the new CIV in future, that's why PC-MAX :D

Can i burn XGD3 and play them even though i don't have LT 2.0? i use verbatim all i want is to play the story not xbox live, so i was wondering if i can just burn it like a XGD2
@Xtremekid0623 sadly no :( the only firmware that currently supports XGD3 back-ups is LT+ 2.0. from 1.9 you could play XGD3 ORIGINAL disks but backups currently only on 2.0. You need to have your console/drive updated to play these games

@blackeye09 you can still keep playing your AP2.5 games (black ops is AP2.5). older games do not need patched to XGD3 format. they stay XGD2. That being said every time they change the AP2.5 challenge table you need a new patch in AP2.5 games (All XGD3 so far have been AP2.5) which means a re-burn of the game. The recent (few days ago) dashboard updated didn't change the challenge table o no need to re-burn anything :D
@MacTh3Ripp3r JTAGS can do anything if you have one you should know that this will play on your JTAG easy :D. I don't have a JTAG so I don't know the exact steps but ISO2GOD has recently been updated for XGD3 games. Run the ISO through that program and put the created GOD on your Hard Drive. That method has worked well for a friend of mine when it comes to XGD3 games. I believe there are other methods too you could try. Just try it the way you usually get games on your JTAG and see if it works.
@1997sander what do you mean "layer breaker"? The layerbreak for XGD3 games is "2133520". if you are refering to how to set this value then it must be set in the .dvd file. That file is usually included with your download and is already set to the correct value.
@ManueleAlonso ohh now there is a hot topic. you can make an ISO using ImgBurn and reburn the new ISO I have heard. But there is some debate as to wheather that disk will then be safe. I would try using XBC to rip it but I don't know if that actually works as I own retail copies of all the disks I have burned so I have never had to copy a copy. sorry i couldn't be more helpful. Try ImgBurn and ee if it works.

@ManueleAlonso it's basically method as ripping games using 0800 firmware and XBC. there is a new firmware for lite-on and ben-q drives: 0800v3. It rips the AP2.5 sectors and is compatable with ripping XGD3 games. While ripping XGD3 or AP2.5 games make sure you have downloaded dea.bin from xbins.org to the same directory you have XBC in. No need to run it through ABGX so long as it's ripped with 0800v3 and dae.bin :D
@GamingNowvideo I've tried that... with no success, when i try to rip it the read button stays gray, i tried with diferent dae files and diferent versions of XBC I must be doing something wrong but i was wondering if there was another way to make a copy out of an already burned copy
@ManueleAlonso Use ImgBurn to copy it... just stick the game in your drive, open ImBurn and click make image from disk. if that fails too then I don't know if it's possible to copy an already copied game :(

@MrRazz1234 you have a spoofed dvd drive. you will need to find out what kind of drive your console had in it originally and replace what's in it now with the same model as the original. Your drive has been switched by somone at some point.
@GamingNowvideo ok i did this with it unchecked and i got to 40 percent and it spit the disk out of the drive and i popped it in the 360 and i get a "open tray error" burnt at 2x4 speed i followed all vids on how to do it am i doing something wrong plus im using verbatims if my burner is out will it do this and mess my burns up >?? i even tried with clonecd same thing happend got the girl saying "ohh no" sorry for the bad english
@SuperSexyrat 1> The new ImgBurn doesn't output the errors on screen, the correct response is auto selected by the program. Game should work as ImgBurn does these steps correctly for you. 2> Depends on how old your games are. All XGD3 games ripped with 0800 firmware and burned properly will work on LT+ 2.0, your old games (so long as they are not XGD3) will still work just as they always have.

@samueler7 if you have the latest Imgburn you wouldn't have encountered the same errors I did. I burned all my games with this method... before the latest ImgBurn update. As far as I have heard most of the problems that people have encountered is due to their burner. maybe try burning it using a different drive if you can. also check on somebody else's 360 to see it your 360 disk drive is the problem

@samueler7 seems like it's just XGD3 issue... could still be a burner problem. Some burners are programmed to allow you to burn using the setting you tell it. With the errors I show in the video it is telling me that you are not allowed to burn in those areas and re-adjusts the settings to use the MAX available space. Some burners actually burn to the areas that it can't, ruining your disk. Try another burner. Try downloading another rip. Both of those fail then you need a new laser in your 360.

@samueler7 burner issue means hardware. you actual dvd burner and not the software. If none of the games are working (but non XGD3 games are) then I think you may have downloaded a bad rip of the game. It happens when a new release group appears with something nobody else has (RRoD had Gears 3) and people upload a fake under the groups name.
I have a new video of me doing this with the new ImgBurn. Will upload it later today if you wnt to try the new method to burn Gears 3. Worth a shot...

@shaunng699 Forza 4 has new content integrity checks. LTMax currently fails the new check but C4E is working on a fix for that. I would wait a few a week or so and you should be able to get your box reflashed to play Forza 4. In terms of setbacks the new check is only minor so it should be a quick fix :D
Hey in the NEW ImgBurn version , there are no more issues about the missing disc Space .... So its extremly crazy how c4eva , team xecuter and team jungle did this LT +2.0 release xD
@shaunng699 no that's not normal... but the end of the disk isn't needed so I think that will still play. Some burners allow the program to keep trying to burn the rest of the disk, the data would be bad but as you do not need the data at the end of the disk it won't matter. Maybe you have updated your version of ImgBurn... update allows burning of XGD3 games without errors. I haven't tried the new version so I'm not 100% how it works.

I have an original copy of Gears of War 3 installed on my xbox. Do I have to uninstall it before using the backup? is the same game just different language.
@cmls1987 I think it only depends on the region of the game. Gears 3 are all Region Free so it's likely to work. I don't know what you mean by different language. All of the disks have multiple language on them. I would guess that It will work from HDD but if it doesn't then just install it from the backup the instaled version from the original wouldn't interfere at all. If you have an original why do you need a back-up? You rent the game and copy it lol
@GamingNowvideo Gears 3 is not multilanguage :/ only a few versions carry 2 differente languages. My original copy of the game is English only. I downloaded a version in spanish distributed only in Latin America (both NTSC).
@cmls1987 I did not know that, With it being region free i suspected multi-lingual support. You learn something new every day. I would think that the spanish version was eother NUKED or it was ripped for ODDE only. Kreon drives were able to rip for ODDE before the new 0800 firmware came out to rip XGD3 games for LT2.0
sorry I kinda answered the wrong question. Yes you will need to reinstall the game to play in the spanish language. I think you might need to reinstall the game entirely, it will install a 2nd version, the original install files from the english version will remain on your HDD
im downing gow3 and i wonder , if i run it thrue abgx is it gonna recognize it as a XGD3 game and automaticly create the proper dvd file with the layerbrake of 2133...... or the normal 19.......... something
@miro9963 abgx won't recognize it. it will proabably come with one but you can make a .dvd file yourself easily. if you need more help just send me a message
@GamingNowvideo no i know how to make a dvd file with notepad dont worry but i have just downloaded spierman edge of time . When i run it thrue abgx , ap2.5 is veryfied , it has SSv2 but abgx says that the XeX verification or something is failed . That game was released 2 days ago in the us , it is a XDG2 game , so can i play it without getting banned cuz that "veryfication failed " pisses me off .
@miro9963 it it's a proper rip it should be ok... but do you know the process of it beinging ripped? if not I would wait for verification or get a diff copy. just because it's not KNOWN to abgx doesn't mean it not right :)
@MegaBigBazooka Bad disks for XGD3 games. 2 disk types I have tried have had similar errors. they both work with XGD2 games but both fail at the lead in (can't remember the exact errors) with XGD3. Might also be a problem with your burner, try a different PC if you can
@MegaBigBazooka this isn't actually a problem with the disks it may be a problem with your burner. I have found out that some Hitachi burners (amongst others) can't burn xgd3 like this. some can't burn them at all. try another burner if you can

@djp828 yes do not burn a DVD like this. Burn XGD3 GAMES like this lol actually this was just a quick fix, ImgBurn was updated to support XGD3 games without throwing up the errors... they still happen just the new ImgBurn auto selects the correct response to the errors. You could also use CloneCD, C4E has verified that it can burn the games without throwing up errors to the user. This works. I have burned over 20 disks like this and only had 2 coasters :)

@mindfreak2526 possibly bad burner/media combo. this doesn't work on my desktop burner but works with my laptop. Try using the new ImgBurn with the "burn to end of disk" feature or try the CloneCD method
@Umir1n poor quality? I believe it's 1366*768 so it's HD and not poor quality... bad explanations possibly lol just follow the vid and skip the middle where nothing happens
@davz316 2.4x is recommended but I always burn on 6x with no problems :) I think the success rate is really depending on your burner and disk combo. I just use my laptop burner (don't even know the model lol) and Ridata disks (come in 5 packs on ck3.co.uk) and it always works at 6x... i get disk read errors if i burn at 2.4x on these disks in my laptop but they work at 2.4x if i burn on my pc so I choose to use my laptop at 6x and do it under 20 mins :D

@eraldorh Well Yeah, of course I know what the .dvd file is for. Do you? The .dvd file OVERWRITES the calculate optimal setting. The reason that you should set it to calculate optimal is because if you don't you receive another error telling you that a .dvd file is about to overwrite your manual layerbreak settings. I suppose that without an iHAS burner you could omit the .dvd file altogether but I like to tell ppl to use it just to help minimize the errors that appear on screen :)

I did everything as mentioned using verbatims for mw3. My first attempt didn't have an error at 97% it burned the entire disc. Why is that? I had to truncate it also before the burn.

@nuggetflazer if you click truncate ImgBurn works out how much data to cut off the end. It then turns the new value (of 7.9GB instead of 8.15GB) into percentage, the percentage you see on screen is the percentage of the data that is being burned and as 7.9GB fits onto the disk it goes all the way to 100%. I have a newer video of how to do this with the new version of ImgBurn (the one that prompts about Truncate).

@NewEraCapWorld aww you have the play game >> black screen >> dashboard loop. I haven't managed to figure our why it happens. I got it once with the new DBZ game but I just opened and closed the tray and it worked. I used to have to do the open/close tray thing with an older xbox with a failing laser, maybe our lasers are getting old and weak. XGD3 games are stressful on the laser so maybe XGD3 games won't work properly with a weak laser :S

@LGReynoldsVG1 abgx only has a few XGD3 titles in the database and abgx developers say that they are only there for internal testing reasons. They might (MIGHT, i don't really know) not patch XGD3 games properly, they are still in the experimental stage. So just burn without running it through abgx (it probably will tell you it's not an xbox game if you try anyway lol). if it's a proper 0800 rip then it's already classed as 'patched' and fine to play :D

@Atheieye I was going to make a video of the exact steps to do it for you but I just realized that I only have 3 disks left and I already have 2 burned copies of Skyrim. Don't want a 3rd and to waste a disk lol My DVDs are standard size (they say that they are 8 something gig but that's an average calculation, not quite accurate, it is for CDs but as the disks got bigger they never changed the calculation to more accurately reflect the size.

You can burn skyrim onto a normal sized DVD+R DL (I believe -R can also work if your drive can booktype it to DVD-ROM but I suggest just getting +R disks and save the hassle). This video is using the old version of ImgBurn. if you watch the vid there will be a pop up to take you to the new version. Use that video and copy the steps in it using your downloaded copy of Skyrim and it will burn and play :D

@saehalovesbilly the 8.5 is not exact, it's an approximation. when the approximation was started to be used it really made no difference because the sizes that were being calculated were much smaller than they are today. as the sizes measured got larger so did the difference between actual space and calculated space. And so when the dvd says 8.5 GB (approximated) it really means 7.9 (actual space). the calculation uses 1000 bytes per kilobyte actual value is 1024 bytes :)

@knockdoun depends on the disk and burner combination really. On my laptop burner I can burn games at 6x speed with no problems, on my linux server I can burn at 8x but on my desktop PC with an iHAS burner I need to use 2.4x otherwise the games won't verify... some still install on the console tho so if you don't care about making your games "live safe" then burn as fast as you can. 2.4 is usually recommended as has the highest success rate across all burners.

@reibako if you have a .dvd file with your iso that you download then ImgBurn tries to use that. It will tell you if the dvd file tries to change the layerbreak and you have one set in ImgBurn. Just set ImgBurn layerbreak to "calculate optimal" and burn games using the dvd file that comes with them.

@Djbiosound you DO NOT NEED to buy a special lite-on IHAS124/224/324/424/524/624 burner and flash it with the new PC-MAX firmware to burn these games. That is only required for 1 game at the moment: Forza 4. In the future it is expected that all games will need the new burner but currently there are no games (other than Forza 4) that do CIV checks on the end of the disk. Games burned the way in the video are currently 'live safe' as they pass all current dash and live checks

@reibako this is proving to be really common. I thought I knew what it was, a burner-media combo issue but now I'm not too sure... I'm not gona recommend anything to you although I wish I could give you a firm answer but as of yet I haven't had this issue happen to me or anyone I know so I don't know how to fix it. I would say it's a bad rip of the game or a bad burn but that's as far as I can narrow it down until it happens to me. Sorry :'(

@Ph0be abgx won't recognise it. abgx has not yeb been updated to understand that it's an XGD3 game. Only XGD3 game that abgx know about is XGD3 Reach, and you can't even play that online anymore so it's not worth verifying really. Need to wait until abgx database is updated before you can stealth/verify XGD3 games.

It has happened to a friend of mine with batman: arkham city - failed to install after being on 99% for about 20 seconds. he just burned it again and it looks like it's just a burning issue, the very (Very very) last few pieces of data from the game partition are missing. I believe (just me, no real science behind why) that his disk was just slightly under the quality par: not all disks in a batch are the same. Try a reburn if you haven't already

@Headhunter0880 he made that firmware for 1 game specifically. FORZA 4. it has a new Content Integrity Verification test (CIV) that checks to see if the last 3% of the data is present. Burning like this (which btw is the method C4E stated as the correct method when he released LT+2.0 and before the Forza issue) causes the last 1-3% of the data to be missing, it's not needed for the game but if checked shows you have a pirate disk. other games will have the new CIV in future, that's why PC-MAX :D

@Xtremekid0623 sadly no :( the only firmware that currently supports XGD3 back-ups is LT+ 2.0. from 1.9 you could play XGD3 ORIGINAL disks but backups currently only on 2.0. You need to have your console/drive updated to play these games

@blackeye09 you can still keep playing your AP2.5 games (black ops is AP2.5). older games do not need patched to XGD3 format. they stay XGD2. That being said every time they change the AP2.5 challenge table you need a new patch in AP2.5 games (All XGD3 so far have been AP2.5) which means a re-burn of the game. The recent (few days ago) dashboard updated didn't change the challenge table o no need to re-burn anything :D

@MacTh3Ripp3r JTAGS can do anything if you have one you should know that this will play on your JTAG easy :D. I don't have a JTAG so I don't know the exact steps but ISO2GOD has recently been updated for XGD3 games. Run the ISO through that program and put the created GOD on your Hard Drive. That method has worked well for a friend of mine when it comes to XGD3 games. I believe there are other methods too you could try. Just try it the way you usually get games on your JTAG and see if it works.

@1997sander what do you mean "layer breaker"? The layerbreak for XGD3 games is "2133520". if you are refering to how to set this value then it must be set in the .dvd file. That file is usually included with your download and is already set to the correct value.

@ManueleAlonso ohh now there is a hot topic. you can make an ISO using ImgBurn and reburn the new ISO I have heard. But there is some debate as to wheather that disk will then be safe. I would try using XBC to rip it but I don't know if that actually works as I own retail copies of all the disks I have burned so I have never had to copy a copy. sorry i couldn't be more helpful. Try ImgBurn and ee if it works.

@ManueleAlonso it's basically method as ripping games using 0800 firmware and XBC. there is a new firmware for lite-on and ben-q drives: 0800v3. It rips the AP2.5 sectors and is compatable with ripping XGD3 games. While ripping XGD3 or AP2.5 games make sure you have downloaded dea.bin from xbins.org to the same directory you have XBC in. No need to run it through ABGX so long as it's ripped with 0800v3 and dae.bin :D

@SuperSexyrat 1> The new ImgBurn doesn't output the errors on screen, the correct response is auto selected by the program. Game should work as ImgBurn does these steps correctly for you. 2> Depends on how old your games are. All XGD3 games ripped with 0800 firmware and burned properly will work on LT+ 2.0, your old games (so long as they are not XGD3) will still work just as they always have.

@samueler7 if you have the latest Imgburn you wouldn't have encountered the same errors I did. I burned all my games with this method... before the latest ImgBurn update. As far as I have heard most of the problems that people have encountered is due to their burner. maybe try burning it using a different drive if you can. also check on somebody else's 360 to see it your 360 disk drive is the problem

@samueler7 seems like it's just XGD3 issue... could still be a burner problem. Some burners are programmed to allow you to burn using the setting you tell it. With the errors I show in the video it is telling me that you are not allowed to burn in those areas and re-adjusts the settings to use the MAX available space. Some burners actually burn to the areas that it can't, ruining your disk. Try another burner. Try downloading another rip. Both of those fail then you need a new laser in your 360.

@samueler7 burner issue means hardware. you actual dvd burner and not the software. If none of the games are working (but non XGD3 games are) then I think you may have downloaded a bad rip of the game. It happens when a new release group appears with something nobody else has (RRoD had Gears 3) and people upload a fake under the groups name.
I have a new video of me doing this with the new ImgBurn. Will upload it later today if you wnt to try the new method to burn Gears 3. Worth a shot...

@shaunng699 Forza 4 has new content integrity checks. LTMax currently fails the new check but C4E is working on a fix for that. I would wait a few a week or so and you should be able to get your box reflashed to play Forza 4. In terms of setbacks the new check is only minor so it should be a quick fix :D

@shaunng699 no that's not normal... but the end of the disk isn't needed so I think that will still play. Some burners allow the program to keep trying to burn the rest of the disk, the data would be bad but as you do not need the data at the end of the disk it won't matter. Maybe you have updated your version of ImgBurn... update allows burning of XGD3 games without errors. I haven't tried the new version so I'm not 100% how it works.

@cmls1987 I think it only depends on the region of the game. Gears 3 are all Region Free so it's likely to work. I don't know what you mean by different language. All of the disks have multiple language on them. I would guess that It will work from HDD but if it doesn't then just install it from the backup the instaled version from the original wouldn't interfere at all. If you have an original why do you need a back-up? You rent the game and copy it lol

@GamingNowvideo Gears 3 is not multilanguage :/ only a few versions carry 2 differente languages. My original copy of the game is English only. I downloaded a version in spanish distributed only in Latin America (both NTSC).

@cmls1987 I did not know that, With it being region free i suspected multi-lingual support. You learn something new every day. I would think that the spanish version was eother NUKED or it was ripped for ODDE only. Kreon drives were able to rip for ODDE before the new 0800 firmware came out to rip XGD3 games for LT2.0

sorry I kinda answered the wrong question. Yes you will need to reinstall the game to play in the spanish language. I think you might need to reinstall the game entirely, it will install a 2nd version, the original install files from the english version will remain on your HDD

@nikola13ish depends when it was flashed. if it was any longer ago than a week then it won't be able to play it. need to be on LT+2.0

im downing gow3 and i wonder , if i run it thrue abgx is it gonna recognize it as a XGD3 game and automaticly create the proper dvd file with the layerbrake of 2133...... or the normal 19.......... something

@miro9963 abgx won't recognize it. it will proabably come with one but you can make a .dvd file yourself easily. if you need more help just send me a message

@GamingNowvideo no i know how to make a dvd file with notepad dont worry but i have just downloaded spierman edge of time . When i run it thrue abgx , ap2.5 is veryfied , it has SSv2 but abgx says that the XeX verification or something is failed . That game was released 2 days ago in the us , it is a XDG2 game , so can i play it without getting banned cuz that "veryfication failed " pisses me off .

@miro9963 it it's a proper rip it should be ok... but do you know the process of it beinging ripped? if not I would wait for verification or get a diff copy. just because it's not KNOWN to abgx doesn't mean it not right :)

@MegaRenato666 this just works for XGD3 games. Can only play XGD3 backups on 2.0. no way to do it on 1.91 or 1.92 (slim)

@MegaBigBazooka Bad disks for XGD3 games. 2 disk types I have tried have had similar errors. they both work with XGD2 games but both fail at the lead in (can't remember the exact errors) with XGD3. Might also be a problem with your burner, try a different PC if you can

@MegaBigBazooka this isn't actually a problem with the disks it may be a problem with your burner. I have found out that some Hitachi burners (amongst others) can't burn xgd3 like this. some can't burn them at all. try another burner if you can

@djp828 yes do not burn a DVD like this. Burn XGD3 GAMES like this lol actually this was just a quick fix, ImgBurn was updated to support XGD3 games without throwing up the errors... they still happen just the new ImgBurn auto selects the correct response to the errors. You could also use CloneCD, C4E has verified that it can burn the games without throwing up errors to the user. This works. I have burned over 20 disks like this and only had 2 coasters :)

Here's a stupid question do i have to use abgx360 before i burn the game? I trade to do for a back up game and it wouldn't let me and I just went to burn it and it works>? on these new types of xdg3 do we need to still use adbx360 ??

@Mem000 you don't need to use ABGX but it's recommended. for XGD3 games you need to use a new version of ABGX. 1.05 doesn't work with XGD3

@mindfreak2526 possibly bad burner/media combo. this doesn't work on my desktop burner but works with my laptop. Try using the new ImgBurn with the "burn to end of disk" feature or try the CloneCD method

@davz316 2.4x is recommended but I always burn on 6x with no problems :) I think the success rate is really depending on your burner and disk combo. I just use my laptop burner (don't even know the model lol) and Ridata disks (come in 5 packs on ck3.co.uk) and it always works at 6x... i get disk read errors if i burn at 2.4x on these disks in my laptop but they work at 2.4x if i burn on my pc so I choose to use my laptop at 6x and do it under 20 mins :D
