@hiiwanttosignout "God Save the Queen" is the anthem of the British Commonwealth and has been around for centuries you twit. The Sex Pistols just used the title. Jesus fuck you're ignorant. And Hendrix died in '70, not '69. Why do people post shit when they have no fucking clue what they're talking about??
The only thing you're probably right about is that this isn't Hendrix.
Remember when I first heard this thing on the Every Way To Paradise boot, my first thought was that this couldn´t at all be Hendrix playing...it doesen´t sound one bit like his style at all.
Lastly ...the music that Hendrix was experimenting with in the last several months of his life was very different to his earlier stuff...some studio outtakes have some very weird and fascinating explorations of guitar sound. The stuff Janie Hendrix keeps releasing is just the mainstream stuff - she wants it sound like todays music and become a hit so she can bath in the millions.. All the weird and incomplete stuff can only be found on the collector networks...look around for it.
If you listen to David Henderson's other music, it sounds nothing like this. If anyrhing, I think Henderson found this tape and tried to pass it off as himself, to garner some fame, but got caught out. Its definitely not Henderson...
I recognise there is considerable artistic skill in this track, putting the GStQ melody to a dark sounding theme with a Chinese acoustic backing is very much the way Hendrix would make a political comment through his music. If this was not Hendrix, then who the hell was it? And where is the other stuff this person composed, coz I want to hear it!
The acoustic work on this track does sound like Coryell - I point you to the duet he did around '69-70 with L. Subramaniam...very similar playing. The electric guitar work, while very different from Hendrix's more mainstream stuff, is in keeping with his Star Spang. Banner on Rainbow Bridge, and Auld Lang Syne etc. And other stuff that never made it to release. I contacted Henderson about this track over 10 years ago, and he said it was not him.
I am a Hendrix collector of around 30 years, plus have been studying his life and history etc and built up a considerable collection. Some old timers from the internet groups may remember me as 'Spaceman'. I am of the opinion this COULD be a Hendrix studio outtake with acoustic guitarist Larry Coryell. There has for a long time been rumours of a tape of a Hendrix/Coryell jam, but Larry has always said one was never made to his knowledge, but we know Hendrix liked to record everything.
This came out on the Jimi Hendrix Lifelines box set. It was on the 3rd cd it was played in the background on the next to last track if I remember correctly. Listening to the full track you can tell it's not Hendrix. The tone of the acoustic guitar gives it away but its stil a pretty nice sounding piece of music.
Dave Henderson sued Warner Bros for releasing this track on a Jimi CD and Warners paid him a settlement. Fairchild was the only one who recognized it wasn't Jimi and tried to stop the release. And he's right about Janie destroying Hendrix legacy, it's evident in comments online about Jimi it's all dumbed down now. When Fairchild injects insight and intelligence into any discussion the stupid hendrix network reacts our of jealousy just like Michael's movies say. He's right to stay away from them.
This isn't Hendrix, it's a guy named Dave Henderson. The story behind how it's been mistakenly attributed to Jimi is on this web page, along with other Hendrix hoaxes:
@xerzix9090 I got this from a bootleg called ‘’Every Way To Paradise’’. All the other tracks on it sound like Hendrix so I’m surprised the people who put it together put a fake track on it. Are we sure that Michael Fairchild is right; at least 3 ‘’Hendrix experts’’ thinks it’s Jimi and it does have a very Hendrix vibe to it. I really hope it is Jimi as this is a wonderful piece of music and if it isn’t well then I applaud Mr Henderson as he really captured the spirit of Hendrix.
@xerzix9090 Also I read some really weird shit on that site like the Japanese earthquake happened because there the home of Sony music and the guy keeps ranting about Janie Hendrix as destroying Jimi’s legacy. He seems to have made some weird religion around Jimi and thinks he’s some kind of high priest or something. To be honest he is not someone whose opinion I would trust on the validity of this song.

way too much space between those notes= Not Hendrix. Nice acoustic playing and Mclaughlinesque run at the start though.

So not Hendrix. Hendrix would never play through such a compressed and flat sound field. Please...
