At 50 Tchaikovsky's voice is so vibrant and youthful! I've actually heard my hero speak in his native tongue, probably drunk, even! LOL I loooooove thiiiiiissss!!!! Thank you for posting <333
:-D It seems Tchaikovsky's voice is passionate voice, and Rubinstein's voice is very nice! And Unknown singer's singing voice is better than my singing voice! :-D
What they should have done is catch on to how the techonology worked and recorded entire albums of ballets, symphonies and music that Tchaikovsky had already finished by this time (1890) and also recorded Russian singers singing opera
This was bleeding edge technology at the time and these guys were just fascinated - that explains why they were messing around instead of taking it too seriously.
At "Blok is great, but EDISON IS EVEN BETTER!!!" I laughed and laughed.... this is such a historic recording.

Ahhhh what terrible insane torture to me personally! To hear Rubinstein's voice and not a single damn note from those incredible massive paws!

Fascinating! But, although I have great respect for Pyotr Ilyich, I do not feel he was such a good whistler.

HA! Lots of fun. It's also fun to hear how EXCITED and INTRIGUED they are to make the recordings.
