  • I think I Heart Gabby La La

  • Couple weeks ago, went to her show in Novi Sad, Serbia. Amazing. This video, amazing, as well.

  • well this is awesome

  • this is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo werid

  • Im in love!

  • Wow. I feel very happy to find this kind of music, I remember when I listen to YES, ELP, Crimson and bands alike, I never knew what they was going to do next. To listen that music was an real experience, something like to go out and discover new worlds of sound. Gabby La la made me realize those worlds are not lost.

  • She studied this instrument with Ali Akbar Khan.

  • I dig this chick!

  • At least she is playing the dang thing! How many of you idiots commenting on her playing have never even touched a sitar much less a musical instrument? If some one doesn't do what she's doing the world will be left to rappers! I really don't want that to happen!

  • I think she's wicked awesome. I'd like to hear and see her do a colaboration with Tiesto or even Paul Oakenfold. Just have to be open to the possibilities.

  • what would she do with tiesto? nothing against tiesto but i there he is like a different energy all together. he blasts big (HUGE) crowds with rave music and she is on a mellow trip, i would go see her in the day time tripping and then, late night, i would go find some rave tent and roll and dance away any left over energy from the day. pref sts9 bisco or sumthin less mainstream than tiesto. that being said i would go see him for the hell of it. and i would probly enjoy it.

  • She is good

  • WTF is she singing about?

And I can't understand some things she says.

    The clearest part was:

Close your eyes and drift away, nothing here can harm you. As long as you do what I say, I'll be here to charm you.

  • Which Raaga is it? LMFAO.

  • yo Marco came out with toy piannno!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • anybody that talks shit on gabby lala has one of the following ailments one they are close minded losers,2 they have no appreciation for the music you dont have to liek it but dont dis it she is very talented,3 you dont eat enough drugs,4 w/e i cant belive i sat here and wasted my time

  • Anybody that talks shit about Gabby Lala has probably actually studied music, 2 they have heard a sitar before and they know it's not supposed to sound like this, 3 you don't do enough drugs (I've tried many, and I can't find a drug that makes her sound good) If she is talented, it is not shown here in this performance. Please take this vid down and put up one of her playing well, or at least something listen able.

  • This isn't a good video. But Gabby La La is one of the most talented musicians I can think of.

  • compared to who - Bjork? Bad acid man!

  • Can you play all those instruments that she's mastered?

  • i wouldn't say "mastered"....

  • "mastered"? that may be using the term a bit flagrantly. I am not too sure what Les has found in her musically.

  • I think it's vital that traditional instruments be used in experimental, non-traditional ways. By the thinking that the sitar is being used incorrectly here the Beatles, Incredible String Band, Beach Boys, Strawbs, Moody Blues and hundreds of others should have stuck to their electric guitars and backbeats. I can't buy into that kind of musical puritanism; If people don't experiment with new ways of approaching music both the art and the craft of it will stagnate, and that's bad for everybody.

  • Experimenting and using alternative instruments is the only way forward.

  • I'm haunted by the terrible Sitar music, not the melody.

  • Would be so cool... But why a cyan blue hair?!!!

  • Nahh bruh Gabby with the Fancy band is tight her sitar really adds to the psychedelicness of the music! Imma see them tomarrow playin in LA

  • this shit is fya! :D

  • Id do her again

  • Gabby La La is addictive. Mysterious and original. For those critcising her it is a lot harder to play sitar than you may think.

  • yes it is very difficult.

  • aaahhhhhh! haha...it's amazing the music you'd find at barnes and noble when you just go in, pick the first cd you see and don't listen or look at it until you buy it and go home...that's how I found Gabby la la...I'm oddly hooked...lol.

  • Gabby La La album is sick

  • I haven't had a chance to listen to her whole album properly yet but I really like this song. It's cool. Good find. Thanks.

  • gabby la la rules.

  • As fans we have all tolerated Les Claypool's ups and downs, because we love his creativity. He has always done a fine job of finding like-minded musicians to play with, as well as musicians with great talent. This one, however, I do not understand. He obviously sees something we do not, perhaps it is not coming across like he planned. If she doesn't work on her chops and improve, I would like to suggest he drop her. Les, you are only as strong as your weakest link... i.e.- your Gabby La La.

  • Pffff. You try playing sitar, Dick.

  • Yeah I don't know man. I know it's hard to like something you don't understand. But I gotta say, Les is a creative genius and I respect EVERYTHING he has to offer musically, Gabby La La included. Sometime what seems like a falure is really a success in disguise.

  • Besides, don't you think Claypool was in the same situation when he was starting Primus? I'm sure people originally and still think it's weird and bad music but he's managed to stay around to have people like us become some of his biggest fans.

  • "Primus Sucks," indeed. ;)

  • @pericocream Fuck yea!!!

  • Baaaaaka! Get that WE outta there. You're all alone, pal.

  • well if you're posting that on a video of hers, you're pretty much preaching to the choir, I think...

  • I have come to spread the word of gabby lala, tell everyone about her

  • This is my favorite Gabby song!

  • shes the coolest artasian ive ever seen

  • is she chinese?

  • i love this song, i think it is called In and Out of Dreaming. Gabby Lala is a great musician. she can sing and play the guitar, sitar, toy piano and more

  • not enough female asian funky dressed siter players out there, marry me gabsta

  • I love Gabby La La... and yes that melody is haunting

  • Love this song. <33
