How awkward would it be if Garretson met Watson or any of the other girls today? It would be like yeah...we were both at the same place at the same time back in 69 if you knew about me being there you would have murdered me! yeah I know that's weird but it makes you think.
Strange that Garretson heard the gunfire but nobody in the house did? There were four of them in there and the house was much closer then where Garretson lived. Very strange?
He did not commit any crime. He is clearly still messed up over his near miss as a victim. I think his story changed a bit because he likely could not handle it and telling everything was maybe too much for him. If it had been me, I'd suffer from Post Traumatic Stress the rest of my life.

i saw an interview where krenwinkle said tex sent her to check the caretaker house. she got near the door and said she thought to herself this is enough the killing had to stop. so she says she turned arround and went back into sharrons house. i always thought garretson probly heard noises and hid. but i don't think he planned the murders or anything. he never has spoke really and has nothing to say.
You don`t find much about Garretson. It must`ve been horrific to discover that you were the lone survivor...I still wonder if it was just luck or if there were details that in the grander scheme of things didn´t implicate him but were left out for whatever reason...In any case a horrific murder.
I see that Hollywood agent Rudi Altobelli passed away March 26, 2011 at age 81. He was the long time (1963-1989) owner of the Cielo Drive house where Sharon Tate and the others were murdered. He hooked up with Garretson in Hollywood and moved him into his personal residence, which was the guest house at the back of the property. A good looking 19 year old with a nice smooth body, Garretson must have had a lot to offer to 40 year old Altobelli to go from the Sunset Strip to his estate.

@gwtwcarlos They shot Steven Parent 4 times in the driveway....Abigail, Sharon and Jay were all awake inside the house when that happened and they heard nothing. People say it was something about the canyons where the sound like rickasheas? im not really sure! such a tragedy!
@gwtwcarlos I think If Garetson was a party to the murders he would not have stayed in the guest house waiting for police to arrest him. Also, If he had heard any of the horror he would have hidden himself or tried to flee to call for help. The next morning after Winifred Chapman called the police they found him in plain sight in his guest house. I agree it is strange that he heard nothing some had thought that the acoustics of the Canyon were responsible for him not hearing anything and some.
