Nothing crawled up my ass, this movie is 1) boring, 2) stupid and 3) some lame basement dweller's awfull wish fulfillment flick. Shit like this actually appear on the net on a daily basis, where they are called webcomics. The only difference between Tim Buckely and O'malleywhatshisname, is that the later decided to go mainstream, by skipping the web part and releasing the comic, marketed to a secific target audience. This movie was based on a video game which was based on a graphic novel. If you've read or played the game, you'll love this movie. It's very stylish, and also modern and retro at the same time. Here are my final reviews: 8/10, 3 1/2 stars, and my Tomato-Meter thingy, 76%.

I think what a lot of people who dont play video games miss is that when you start one it rarely makes sense at the beginning. This is especially true in the 8-bit generation (remember mario; italian plumber eating mushrooms and stomping turtles wtf) but you fell in love with them because of the scale of the adventure. I loved the movie but I hated scott and ramona they were absolute dicks, but everything from the indie rock to the stylistic brawls did it for me

@swifttiger here is the thing, I'm a fan of video games and comics but the thing was the characters were not all that likable. Scott was really self centered and Ramona was supposed to be some sort of independent woman but she really seemed helpless. The love story really had no time to develop and the action though awesome really came out of no where. They didn't even let you know these things were possible, they just threw it at you. The first time through i hated. Re-watching made it good
