It's not Beryl. It's a few 3rd applications for Windows. If you want Beryl (Which is now called Compiz-Fuzion) then buy one of these, install Ubuntu on it, and then enable special desktop effects.

He moved his "original" task bar to the top and used a program called ObjectDock to make his desktop look like a mac. You don't have to get vista to use ObjectDock it can be used on Xp. Just google it to learn more. =]
