  • Camera still too close to the railroad row, another reason why the UP, Amtrak and other Class I railroads have rules prohibiting photography from railroad property & encourage railfans to video & photograph from public row such as adjacent streets, public parks and other locations far enough away so as to prevent accidents and worse from happening..

FYI: ALL AMTRAK & class I's are now equipping locomotives with CCTV cameras to record violations & tresspassers.!

  • @Howard1939 They already have cameras in the engines and besides, I put the camera there and walked away. I stood about 15-20 feet away from the tracks

  • @SDRailfan What got the UP all bent out of shape about railfans, was one occurance last summer in which UP Steam Crew witnessed a railfan placing a video camera within the grack gauge to catch the UP 844 as it steamed down the tracks, that plus the number of "professional photographers" who use railroad row as back drop for photo ops of students for high school & college year books..

  • Lol

  • Maybe dont put your camera so close to the tracks...

  • Now do you guys see what I mean by WEAR SOME SAFTEY GLASSES WHEN RAILFANNING 90MPH ZONES?
