  • WTF this show you how segways work it's no his atempt at makeing a mini one i think

  • @lewthemaster This was just a sample video to go with some basic code to show some students how the code works to create the movement of a segway, as the weight shifts it moves and self corrects etc, so no its not a mini segway as such, rather a programming experiment :) cheers

  • your i mean

  • r ya ment ta ride it cause i think it would be great for our fingers

  • jazz is some fucking awful shit

  • music?

  • @StuffThatBurns

The music was part of a plugin that game wih a video maker package i used to own, dont have it anymore so cant remeber the name of it sorry

  • I just wasted a minute of my life.

  • dude wtf thts stupid and tht music is gayyyy

  • cool =)

  • omg the music is funny;)

  • haha thats awesome! it does look like its got palsy tho...

  • awsome!!!!

  • awsome!!

  • is this a pick system?

  • i think he is controlling the car right???

  • it looks nervous! O.o

  • That's pretty cool get some typeof weight2 strap 2 the top that you can control to make it move forward and back without you using ir fingers 5 stars

  • is that little thing dancing hor having a seizure?!

  • i dont think i will fit on that

  • oh ok, i see now. I was probably drunk when I made that comment. Pretty nifty toy though.

  • @zachzach789 It was a joke, I cannot believe you though I was serious. Please read posts before you respond to them...

  • whats the name of this music ?

  • It's "blow my horn" by the Blizmatiks.

  • thats awesome, well done who ever made that!

  • looks twitchy as fuck to me

  • its twitchy for 2 reasons :1) its light. segways ar much heavier, which helps their smoothness

    2) it looks home-made, which means it most likely has basic programming. it takes more complex software to make it smooth too.

  • imho it uses slower processor too. take this just as a first step, not as a final machine you would buy. i think the alpha version of those segway vehicles was this twitchy too...

  • I hate when wheels fall...my car fell the other day because its wheels couldn't keep balanced ;(

But in all seriousness this could be better than a segway I hate that the segway looks like a scooter for old people this I would use. It may be a little more dangerous and hard to get used to but I would use it.

  • That's Very Cool

  • What about making a radio controlled segway :) That's an idea and a cool toy!

  • That would be cool, a rc segway instead of a rc car.

  • Be like hey want to ride my segway? Then secretly pull out the remote while they try figure out how to get it started and take them on a wild ride through the jungle.

  • put that little machine out of its misery , looks like its suffering..

  • "...please...kill...me....." :P

  • jajajja

  • @NDANG88 pmsl best comment ever!

  • many might not see the big "wow-thing" in this movie, but this thing has a sort of gryroscope, which is making the machine able to hold its balance, that is the most important part in a modern segway!!

    good job! :)

  • what the hell is it supposed to do?

  • it's holding its balance... thats whats it supposed to do...

  • AND it has pretty lights. I don't see how you could've failed to see that :)

  • ohh!! good point! seriously, what is it really supposed to do?

  • Hold its balance... like HammerStudios said.

  • wow.. absolute waste of time

  • Wow that's quite an achievment :D

  • wats with the music

  • nice not as good as the real thing but good concept

  • actually, if a segway had that little weight to work with, it would be just as unstable, segways actually balance better with someone standing on it, rather than in park mode with very little weight

  • How stable is it on non-smooth, non-flat surface, such as a carpet or a sidewalk?

  • you would be right...the center of weight is low to make it balance, its part of the overall solution..:P

    KISS--keep it simple stupid--

  • cool but if you look at the large battery mounted so low. my money says that the center of gravity is below the center of the wheels and it would balance even when its turned off.

  • i wouldn't doubt that this is actually properly made, it's not all THAT hard, you need an accelerometer and a motor, and that's about it. in fact, if you had experience programming for iphones, you could set an iphone up to do all the balance work for you

  • sorry i fink im missin the point wots the point in that ?

  • nice one dude!

If you managed to get a small low ratio gear box for each wheel you will lose that swinging motion and smooth the operation out!

    Good luck on Version 2

  • Very sweet!

    What's the feedback loop?

    Through an accelerometer or optical?

  • technology can do many things these days

  • cool idea :D

but it seems a tad unstable, but I suppose it's good considering it's made by hand xD

  • 2 wheels are using for 1 / 10 scale R/C car

  • Thats pretty cool, i'd put it up on a shelf and just leave it lol. Maybe put a bobble head on it =] then when the batteries run out, the bobble head'll do a leap of fate off ur shelf =]

  • wowowowo 140k views..rofls

  • Did your mom ever have any kids that lived?

  • SORRY FOR MY COMMENT

  • It is always amusing to read the comments of complete jack-asses who lack the creativity to built a square out of legos. Great job on the segway, very clever design.

  • agreed

  • this is awesome, mabey u can get ur dog or cat to ride it lool

  • oh, jezze, i didnt see the hand in the video, i'm sorry.

  • ha its okay i was like a dog?? what the hell lol

  • Wery nice!!! Does it have feedback made by gravitysensor(s)?? What processor tech did you use? Does your code have PID functions in feedback loop (shouldnt that help for wobling)? But wery intresting indeed!

  • do you think if the body weighed more would it become more stable. pretty cool though, wish i could build stuff like that.

  • Excellent work mate!

  • Pretty cheap, Conehead.

  • Keelen face.

  • Hm... Ok, works, but the problem is that it should NOT move when it is in idle state... (when it was not touched for a while, and it is not moving)... It should just stay, without those small movements...

    But anyway, OK.

  • you make one then ya fucken idiot.

  • not nice bitch

  • You shure did, so QUIT BREATHING ASSHOLE so you don't waise any more.

  • dude, love ur alias/name, CCR rocks...

  • "IT" :D

  • wtf?

  • you need something like a gyroscope to help with the balance

  • lol mr garrison

  • yeah man

  • lol when did i put that?

  • I see that it says wieght shifting but it looked like those red lights were sensors, kinda, maybe measuring distance to the bottom surface instead of wieght transfer, which could account for the delay too, just guessing, and just curious.

  • cool

  • fix the code it suck as of now but with sum good code it i'll work

  • i dont see the point who is the target consumer and whos back yard did you make that in just kidding GOOD WORk!!!!! now cure cancer

  • sweat!!

  • i think you mean sweet!

  • ya lol

  • i smear feces on my window

  • ok???

  • Awesome!

  • wew

  • very good work

and yeahhh, put a V8, man!

  • nicely done...nice laser system

  • put a V8 on it, then it go faster^^

  • good work

  • the minimal movement of the motors is too big and thus you get jerkyness. either that or its taking too long to procces the inputs there for youget breaks inbetween smooth movement.

  • Holy shit, thats nice, what all did it take to make that? and what did it cost? but thats really cool

  • awesome start. i noticed it was moving in the direction of your hand -- is that because you put pressure on that side? nice.

  • One owe the GAYEST things I've ever seen in my life!

  • lol

  • great work man! some of these children in here dont know what the hell they are talkin about...hater pussies

  • what's it supposed to do?

  • Yeah, no kidding moohasha. If he keeps working on it, I guarantee that thing will much more advanced than some of those battle bots. Give it a year or so.

  • that must have taken alot of time

    nice work

  • it looks like its trying to keep its balance but the movements are too jerky so it never reaches a happy medium to stay in one place.

  • keep the good work up its realy realy good for a diy

  • wow i always appreciate things you make yourself, this is rellay nice, what it u scale it to a bigger size, then u can carry your pet or something else, Veryycool, might even bring u dinner if u hook it up to a Roomba while not spilling the drink or food!! good job!

  • I can't belive you people are so stupid. This dude made a great thing. Even though its not perfected, its still an accomplishment. It looks like you got some type of sensor on the back. Is it a distance sensor? Anyway, good job.

  • Cool Jazz music. Yeah!

  • terrible...kill yourself

  • i like watching things

  • That'd be like someone building a motherboard from scratch, and people dissing it because there are so much better motherboards on the market right now. He built a freakin segway on his own! No, it's not as impressive as the $8000 ones you might buy, cause if it was he'd be making $8000 off of it, not showing it on YouTube.

    Props.

  • What exactly was that? It seemed like you had to push it to move and it just kept rocking back and forth.

  • That's really great... I was tapping my toe like crazy... Not sure about the robot thing though.

  • slow

  • wow that sucked

  • i dont get what i was jus watching o-O

  • promising!

  • 101 all right.

  • this is not impressive at all..

  • try doing that your self to see how impresive can you make it

  • umm...at least put something tall enough on it so that it really has to balance it. That's what makes a Segway impressive, the fact a tall object on it doesn't cause it to fall over. Doesn't look as impressive when the platform isn't even above the wheels.

  • could do with a gyroscope type thing for stability, don't segways have those... purty fawkin awesome though

  • very cool

  • that thing needs some work, it looks like a cockroach might destabilize it
