I don't get why people are bashing this new band. Yeah the Fall of Troy was epic, and yes JLV sounds different. But come on guys, it's a different band writing different stuff. Thomas even said the band would sound different. Stop complaining.

i thought this was just plain bad. It just sounds like a sloppy badly-written TFOT song. Doesn't seem like Erak even tried to stray away from TFOT's sound and just got a backing band. I really hope i'm wrong about this and that its just a bad release. First impressions are everything though, and that kinda put this new band on a sour note for me.

TFOT fan here, I loved that band and thought he was just joking when he talked about it at one of his shows about breaking up. im glad i went to that show now knowing that it was their last tour. Hearing this new band is good because thomas is amazing. but its just not as fast as TFOT was which is something i enjoyed. i hope they do write faster stuff similar to TFOT

@ecwork09 yeah dude it sucks. I saw them twice during their last tour and words can't even describe how amazing it was. TFOT was an incredible band and honestly i doubt JLV will match it, but who knows maybe JLV will surprise us all.

@ecwork09 I think Tim Ward was a big part of The Fall of Troy in my opinion atleast, their style changed after he left and I think I saw somewhere Thomas saying hes older now and dosn't have much screaming and sporadic guitar playing in him left

yo man im as big of tfot fan as any but its a fuckin band man theres no one man show. im not talking about who did the drumming er whatever cause i know tom played drums before guitar...but you gotta understand...i think thats alot of the vibe that ended the 3 piece that was the fall of troy. he wouldnt've joined a band with another guitar without realizing the need for progression...and definatly not to be recognized as a 'one man show'.
