What the... this looks familiar hehe... I am telling the truth when I say that this didn't inspire that section in my level. Also, still having trouble figuring out how I will conceal the rotating rooms... have several rotating rooms concealed by thin layer wall, have them float in space as giant cubes, have the entire level rotate entirely whilst losing much space... Very tricky. I also have an idea for a neat little intermission that uses a camera trick in LBP...not too sure if THAT will work.
I know, not the best working puzzles in there... Well, it was one of my first few beta levels. My actual levels are way better (graphix and gameplay), and I will make a new Cube180 sooner or later, so I suggest you just to leave this level for now and go play my other, better levels ;)
I know, not really a valid excuse, but I really don't want to work on this level anymore :/
Well some of the puzzles are cool, i thought it was pretty interesting concept but yeah!! Start over and make it better! I like the concept so it'll be cool to see what you do with this concept later on!
Approximately a month before the official launch of the game, some chosen users were able to download a "Beta version". The beta included the first three garden levels and the level editor+level sharing. The Beta was launched to stress-test the servers before official release. All my youtube-levels that wield this "Beta Level" tag just mean that I created them using the beta version of the game. The only materials and stickers I had were from the tutorials and the first three garden levels.
The level is named "Cube 180". I'm not quite sure if it is still online, I think I put it off a few days ago because I didn't want to have a glitchy and not well planned level online. I will work on a new and improved version; atm, I've got some other projects running, so it will take me quite a while till I get to make a new Cube 180 (or even 360? who knows...^^). Stay tuned for updates :)
Thanks :) I also recommend watching (or playing) my two newest creations, "Jungle Drums (Survival Challenge)" and "Running: Downtown Tutorial" (the latter has even been picked by Media Molecule as a MmTuesday Pick! Yay!)
The red thing in the background serves as a magnetic key for whether the green bar stays up or down. Use gravity - two quick grabs at the 180-spinner should do the job. The red thing will ricochet back and stay where it was, thus not changing the green bar's position.
Yeah, this beast needs some more fine-tuning :) Try grabbing any piece of floor as soon as the auto-turning starts, hope not to get crushed by the beast, then drop down to the floor, switch to the front layer and try to smash one or two brains... I have already finished a new level of the 180 series, called "sphere 180". Will upload it later this evening.
I've added the whole mechanism as an object to win, but I'll try to explain it: All those sponge circles have a grab switch attached. Each grab switch is connected to an emitter which emitts a small magnetic key-object. those activate a single magnetic sensor which then activates a system which activates a "direction"-tweaked two-way motorbolt (center of the cube) and deactivates it if activated a second time. Took me a while, but it works fine :)
It's definitely worth it. Hypercube is a bit... weird, maybe even too weird for being a Cube film, but nonetheless worth watching. And Cube Zero... well, it's a good film per se, plus it gives some deeper insight and makes some connections to part 1. Be sure to check them out.

how do you get that green thing to stay down at 1:30? thats where i'm stuck

How in the world were you able to make those objects rotate the level?
